Sharp horns and sleek legs... does it get any better?
The Dean SplitTail Floyd is an electric guitar that combines some of the most popular guitar body shape features. The mahogany Dean SplitTail has deep dual cutaways with sharp horns and beveled edges that continue around the entire guitar. The beveled edges make the cutaways even more effective in providing access to the higher frets. The SplitTail guitar's edges also catch light and give the entire guitar a more 3-dimensional look. Sliding down toward the tail of this knockout, you'll find the iconic long legs that metalheads have been in love with from day one.
A V-shaped mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard with pearl block inlays will keep you shredding or chording comfortably for hours. The Timecapsule humbucker pickups capture the biting tones of the vintage Dean instruments produced from 1977 to 1986. You get very strong lows and mids creating the tone that was used to record multiple platinum albums during this era. The licensed Floyd Rose tremolo bridge combined with Grover machine heads keep you and your Dean SplitTail electric guitar dive-bombing the night away without tuning worries.

So, i got this guitar from my brother for a fender. & i own the white one, & i must say.this is the most balls out metal, comfortable guitar i have owned. i would never get rid of this puppy, if you are a metal head buy this bad boy.
This guitar is one of the most sweet looking instuments i have ever played, but the sound is lacking umph that i expect from a dean. at the time i had a epiphone SG and it blew it out of the water sound wise, so i wouldnt suggest this guitar.
If i had to describe this guitar in one word it would be "wow". I love Deans and I own a lot of them. I own an Explosion Razorback, a Dean From Hell ML, a Warbird ML, a DB Razorback, a Z, and a Shadow ML. I've put a lot of money in my guitars and I love them. I also own Gibsons, Fenders, and even an Ibanez, but none stand up to the Splittail Floyd. I purchased it about 3 months ago and I loved it. It sounded so good and when i put it on a Line 6 Spider with a Zoom guitar efect petal it sounded so good. I played for hours with it before putting it down. Out of all of my guitars THIS IS MY FAVRIOT. I highly recomend it to anyone who wants an awsome guitar so for an awsome price. Two thumbs way up.
THis Guitar is absolutally perfect for rock, metal, or any other music you can headband too. I look around for a while, and was origionally going to get a Gibson 3 pickup Flying V, but then I saw this. I said to myself "I need this guitar". The Dean U.S.A. version is awesome, but I didn't really want to spend that much on a guitar. I went down to the local music store and tried this guitar, and the U.S.A. version. THis one sounded so much better and it was cheaper. I own one in Classic White and love the 3D look because of the black outline. I used this in my high school's battle of the bands and my band won, and I owe it all to my Dean Splittail Floyd. The joint neck, Floyd Rose bridge, and SD pickups all come together to make one insane guitar. I know the price isn't cheap but it is low for a guitar that sounds this good. This one can shred with the big boys. A must buy.
I bought this guitar when it first came out and I loved it. It has an awesome body shape and a fast neck. The sound is amazing and is totally for a metalhead. The guitar is great how it is and does not need to be altered in any way. The built in neck makes it even better. An awesome buy, the price is a lot, but believe me its worth it. Give it a try you will not regret it.
