OVERVIEW

Faithfully re-created from the original Dean From Hell's specs.

The Dean From Hell/CFH is a reproduction of Dime's own Dean From Hell, as it appeared on the album cover of Cowboys From Hell. The mahogany body and neck are covered in the familiar blue finish, with the dramatic lightning bolts on the top. An L500XL pickup in the bridge position and Dean humbucker at the neck take you from screeching metal lead tones to crunchy rhythm sounds with a flick of the 3-way toggle. Pluck a harmonic and use the licensed Floyd Rose tremolo to take it to the outer limits. The ultrafast neck is topped with a rosewood fretboard for high-speed shredding galore. Dimebag traction knobs ensure you'll be able to adjust them no matter how much sweat is pouring. Includes a Dean custom hardshell case.

I can't afford the $5,000 that the limited issue one costs so I took a chance on this one. This guitar is very nice. It is made in China, and comes in a Dean deluxe hard shell case. Upon first inspection I noticed that a lot of emphasis on detail went into this guitar. The headstock looks just like the original, there are no extra Dime graphics on it. Just the Dean logo. You get chrome plated Grover tuners which are nice and solid performers. The set neck is a V shaped profile on the rear and is very comfortable to play. The fretboard is bound in cream colored binding and is made of rosewood with pearloid fret markers. The frets are mediums and although play well out of the box, they can use a Supertune leveling at your local dealer. They performed a supertune on mine and now the guitar plays like a dream. It is a worthwhile setup. They will level all the frets and adjust everything to your liking. The bridge pickup is an original Bill Lawrence XL500L and has a high output. It is very clean, even with a high gain amp. The neck pickup is a Dean zebra, but sounds ok. You can swap this out for a Dimarzio if you like, but it is not needed. The licenced Floyd Rose is very well made, but not as nice as the real thing, but you can change that out yourself if you want. As far as the paint job, it is well done. The lightning bolts appear to be a graphic layed on and then sprayed over, but it is very hard to tell. I get compliments all the time about how accurate to the original this guitar. Once you get this guitar, take it from me. Go have a Supertune setup done on it. Then you will cry with joy everytime you play it. This is one amazing guitar for the price!

I'm am a big dime fan so i wanted a dean guitar and I chose this one. When I first got it the neck pickup didn't work. I had to reposition the switch to make it work. couple weeks later I had the same problem but with the bridge pickup. Still after fixing it, it still doesn't work that well and is not reliable. The guitar input is horrible as well. I've to repair it 2 times already(I've owned the guitar for 3 months.) It does look, play, and sound great(when it works). The floyd takes abuse and stays in tune. The pickups are spot on dime tone. But the quality is horrible. It's made very poorly in China. Take my advice and get a usa dean or a washburn dime.

My personal favorite..

By Devestator

from La Vista, NE

I've owned this guitar for two year's now. Best one I got..hand's down. The sound is crisp n' clean (equiped with seamore duncan pups...of course). I play this guitar everyday...sometimes with a vengence and it still play's like the first day I took it home. It's got some battle damage, but that just add's character. There is only one thing I dislike about this guitar..came with some cheap made floyd rose rip off. Now I just need $300 to upgrade to a origional floyd rose, then this monster will be complete.

The name says it all, but it is way overpriced. If you want a dime sound this is a good path to take. But it is hard to play some songs, and takes a lot of time to get used too. i use a les paul. so the bridges are very different and was hard to get used too. but other than a little sweet and time, it is an AMAZING guitar.

This Guitar has Perfect Sound And Amazing Tone. I recently Purchased It About 2 weeks ago. Yet They Forgot To Ship The Whammy Bar, And The Shipped The Wrong Size Allen Wrench. And I Still Havent Got The whammy Bar And Its Been almost 2 weeks. I'd Really Like To Know Who Does The Shipping around There Cause Its Not That Hard to Ship The Right Allen Wrench And Whammy.

u know what im sayin, getcha pull

By Zakk holt

Man I've had somewhere between 10-12 guitars and this is got to be handsdown the best guitar I've ever heard or especially played. The tone kick so much butt that my dean markley 6" practice amp sound good when I play with the volume louder than my surround sound will play my pantera cds. The neck is so soft and its so easy to shred. The floyd rose is so smoth that dimebag(rip we love and miss ur shiny diamonds)squeal with the floyd rose are a breeze.(well if u know how to do dimebag squeals)the mohogany wood gives the dfh ultimate sustain. The clean tones give the guitar a sweeter side. All of my friends are surprised when they hear the clean tone and would expect it to be shrude. The pup is amazing and you can go through a song with distortion without changing pups. Best guitar ever... EVER!

This has to be the nest quality guitar I have ever played and I have played gibsons, fender and other expinsive guitars and this dean smokes em all. High output bridge and neck pick up screams dimebag. I'm done searching if I become famouse, this guitar will be my main gain. I'll defanately have my wings get yours! THE DEAN FROM HELL

Beastly

By Sockhead8527

from Ronan, MT

This guitar has been perfect for me. My only complaint is that when I got it there was a chip out of the paint on one corner (nothing I wouldn't have done in about a week of ownership anyway) and some of the hardware had minor scuff marks. But other than that, since it plays great, I can't really complain.

Dean From Hell

This guitar is incredible. This is my 9th guitar and by far my best. The action and setup was perfect right out of the box, the only time I've had that happen. I can sit there and shake the guitar and not get any noise. And the tone you get from this guitar is insane. Great metal tone out of the bridge pickup and from the neck, some pretty nice cleans. The Bridge PU is just as good as an emg 81 and without the hassle of changing batterys. it gets great harmonics and dime squeels are so easy with this. This is the best guitar I have ever played if you have the money BUY IT.

This Guitar puts a smile on my face!

I just bought this guitar and it plays soooooo nice! Low action, and the neck is really smooth. It's nearly impossible for me to put down every time I pick it up. I'm really happy with this purchase!
