A celebration of Dean design with a set neck, flame top and DiMarzio pickups.
The Dean Z Chicago Flame Electric Guitar celebrates the town that put Dean Guitars on the map. It has the sort of finish and appointments you would find on more expensive models. It features a bound mahogany body with a flame maple top and a finish that lets the woodgrain peek through. Its set mahogany neck is also bound and has a comfortable V contour and an ebony fingerboard with 22 frets and abolone dot inlays. Grover tuners and a tune-o-matic string-through bridge offer dependable intonation and improved sustain. Electronics consist of DiMarzio Super Distortion bridge & neck pickups wired to a 3-way switch with individual Volume controls and a single Master Tone.
Dean Guitars' new Chicago series pays homage to the original Dean guitars produced in Chicago and introduced at the 1977 NAMM show. These guitars embody the high quality materials and craftsmanship usually limited to custom instruments.

Comments about Dean Z Chicago Flame Electric Guitar:
This is the perfect guitar to replace the Exsplorer that Gibson stopped making for half the price. The tone is the same in every way. The look and feel are comfortable
I'm a Gibson man at heart but I was impressed with this dean z.
