The DR-100 Acoustic Guitar has the looks, quality and sound of an expensive guitar. With chrome hardware, precision construction, and rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, this is a great guitar for the price. Overall I've been very pleased with it and 100% satisfied. No need to replace the strings on this black beauty. Very happy with the shipping too.

You can believe it when you play it======Smooth, clear easy to fret.
Reluctant to buy anything of lesser value these days so took a chance and bought the DR-100 vintage sunburst. As I have had my J-45 Gibson for yrs. and needed a drag around guitar to keep from damaging my prize J-45. In just a few days I got the Dr-100. Never have I been so pleased with a purchase. I started looking for flaws and shortcuts as most of us musicans do. LOL comes with the beast. I found nothing. So I tuned and started finger picking as I do with my other guitar. D-4 martin. Wow---Smooth and no rattles. The tone was sweet and clear. Neck board just right! Next I choose a song with lots of rough chords and strum. Picking flat in and out of the tune. No rattle. Now I am thinking there most be something. Nope. I bought the stand the picks the strap all for a great price. Setting the J-45 next to the Dr-100 and the build is almost exact. This is unheard of for the quality of the DR-100---Neck is like a fender mustang. Sound is like the J-45. Getting rid of my old war club--D-4 martin with it's spliced neck ---Folks this is a super made fitted guitar. I hope this review helps out. Great for beginners and Pro's alike. Even half-axx'ed as myself. KIM
The entire body was well place togerther. Extened head with tuner keys exact. Noticed the sound hole cut was perfect. Large and finished molding cut polished heavily. Full size strap connectors installed without blemish.
Value is unheard of these days.

Comments about Epiphone DR-100 Acoustic Guitar:

This was a nice buy and was very pleased. Would buy another one if needed. The other reviews stated neck had warping problems, and there is a little but not enough to be concerned with. Was able to adjust truss rod, which will need to done , and also the screws on tuning keys will need to be secured at same tightness or they will never stay in tune. Mine so far has not lost tune in two weeks and I play it daily. I gave this guitar a high rating based on low price and excellent sound . I have been playing for years and have handlled many. Yes, change the strings. I started with martins and they do well.

Comments about Epiphone DR-100 Acoustic Guitar:

I bought this used from another seller. I wanted an art project guitar -- something to custom paint and hang on the wall for decoration.

It was described as having a bad neck set, and I paid half of the price of a new one. However, I was surprised at how minor the issue is. The neck is slightly warped, but this only affects notes on two frets of the high E string. Otherwise, it plays very well. The bridge is solid. There is low action right out of the box.

Yes, the strings are cheap, and yes, the sound is flat. Yes, the tuners are on the cheap end -- but you can't expect anything more from a guitar at this price. It feels and plays well, stays in tune, and the sound is better than most guitars in this price range. For the money, it's a good value for a beginner, or as a second guitar to take to the beach or play around the campfire.

Comments about Epiphone DR-100 Acoustic Guitar:

Bought this guitar a few years back for playing around the house. It sounds great, and considering it's relatively inexpensive price tag I think this is a great guitar to start on. One of my tuning heads eventually fell off because the screws didn't hold. And one small fall and the neck cracked, ruining the action. If you're a serious player, I'd spend a little more and get something else.

Comments about Epiphone DR-100 Acoustic Guitar:

The overall construction and the fitment and finish of the DR-100 are outstanding. The sound is quite good, as is the playability. I've spent hundreds more for guitars that weren't half as good as this one. I don't understand how Epiphone (Gibson) makes a profit on these guitars, they are indeed that good.

Comments about Epiphone DR-100 Acoustic Guitar:

Not a bad buy for the price. Had fret buzz on the High E and B strings from the 8th to the 18th fret. With a fret dress and little setup it plays very well and sounds pretty good. Excellent beginner guitar or travel companion.

Comments about Epiphone DR-100 Acoustic Guitar:

The Epiphone DR-100 arrived by UPS delivery only 5 days from ordering and was super impressed with how professionally it was packaged A+. I didn't expect to see a high gloss finish on the vintage sunburst model that looks great. The factory installed strings were in near perfect tuning when I took the guitar out of the box and still sound ace after a week of constant playing. This guitar not only sounds better than I anticipated but has nice string action and is comfortable to play. Don't get mislead by the discount price. The DR-100 is a a best seller for more reasons than just the price.

Great guitar for the price. Well made for a guitar from China. Holds its tune well and has a full sound for a budget priced instrument. The real value in this is Musician's Friend. I would not buy any instrument from anywhere else. They back up everything they sell. If you're not happy they will make it right.

Comments about Epiphone DR-100 Acoustic Guitar:

I got this in vintage sunburst as my first guitar and it is still in great shape a year in a half later. Since then I have an Ibanez grx70qa electric and I just ordered a Yamaha fs720 folk acoustic, both from Musicians Friend. They are by far the best people I have ever bought anything from and have amazing service. This guitar is great for beginners or just someone looking for a great guitar for a great price. It looks, feels, and plays like a dream and has helped me develop my skill over the years. It is still my go to guitar over my electric and I'll always buy my instruments and gear from musicians friend.
