I purcahsed this guitar and never expected to be this pleased. I have owned Gibson Les Pauls and SG's and found this guitar equal to and in most cases superior to them. Right out the box I knew I had a substantial guitar. The weight finish and features are outstanding. There are NO UPGRADES needed for this guitar as it sounds superb matched with my Fender Hot Rod Deville. There is no mistaking that FAT humbucking tone. The neck is amazingly fast and well balanced. I can't believe I got this much guitar for this price. You would definitely have to pay three times the price to get a comparable Gibson. I am proud to take this epiphone emblazoned axe anywhere and show the so-called "purists" what a true value really is. If you're a lefty you MUST own this guitar, you will not be disappointed.
Most lefty guitar players will relax rockin on the Elite Lefty LP Standard. Made for rock and metal. This LP will get the powers of Les Paul with this axe.
I just got mine a few days ago. I'm just learning to play. This guitar sounds and plays awesome. The action is great and makes it easier to play. Signature Les Paul tone is second to none. I recomend it to beginers and pros alike.
I am 47, have owned Gibson LP and SG in the past. Switched to fender some years ago, but then found this on musiciansfriend and - for the price - thought I'd try it out. GREAT axe. Great sound. Nice finish. A really nice compromise (yeah, no one likes that word) between a $**** guitar and a hack. This guitar rocks and is well made!
If you are not an Epi believer, this guitar will change your mind. After much research and consideration, I decided to purchase this Elite LP. I have owned a number of high end guitars and this one tops the chart for me. Beautiful fit and finish, outstanding playability and amazing tone. Actually I liked it so much I called back and bought the ebony one as well. From Rock to Jazz, this guitar does it all. You WILL NOT be dissapointed with this AXE!!!
The only decent lefty I could find. Well worth it. Fantastic build quality and excellent tone. Everything seems right when playing; the neck, the action, and the general feel. Cover the Epiphone logo and everyone will think it's a Gibson, no doubt, but really you paid MUCH less!
I used to play right handed, but due to arthritis could no longer play the notes or chord on right handed guitars any more. So rather than quit playing guitar I decided to switch to a lefty guitar. But what kind? I'd played Fenders, Gibsons, Epiphones (owned three) as well as others. While shopping I found that Epiphone had the widest selection of lefty guitars. I finally settled on the Les Paul Elitist. I'm glad I did. I've always been an Epi fan, but I'd never been willing to spend the big bucks on a guitar until I saw the lefty Elitist. This guitar just flat out does it all. Play the Blues, rock the house with Rock-N-Roll, foot stomp your cowboy boots and play country. This is an all round great guitar. The tone is fabulous. Play it clean, play it dirty. Smooth fast, low action. I love it. Mine plays & sounds better than my friends Gibson Les Paul Supreme & at 1/3 the price. If you're a serious guitarist and want the best, buy this one. It's as good as any Gibson, in fact better. You'll fall in love with it. Just make sure you use quality strings and it'll treat you right forever.
Being left-handed it's hard to find a good value and quality in the same guitar.I was very pleased when I opened the case.Epiphone Elitist Les Paul's ARE the same or better than the Gibson's I've played.I highly recomend this guitar and with a little set up, new strings it ROCKSSS!!!!
