I bought mine almost 2 months ago and it has become my No#1.go to guitar . I can not believe that a Les Paul can sound this darn good for such a low price. I got mine brand new and was pleasantly pleasd at the quality of this fine instrument. The stock Alnico Classic Humbuckers cover a wide array of sounds ranging from Blues to of course, Metal . Once set up properly, the Grover tuners will keep this baby in tune forever and the weight of this is very light for a Les Paul, which is a comfort to somebody of amy age ( 54 ). I am playing it through my vintage 1989 Peavey Bandit 112 along with my Digitech RP-50 and I never get tired of playing it . This guitar with the amp and processor I just listed, make a deadly combination and will blow the smoke off of anybody's eardrums within a mile. I love the Celtic Cross outline and the Roman numeral XII inlay on the 12th fret which IMO, make this guitar stand out from your standard Epiphone. All in all, this is one great deal for either a beginner or someone who is on a low budget who always wanted a Les Paul . Great job Epiphone on a great guitar !

Okay, so I thought this was the guitar I had to get. An Epiphone Les Paul, looked great and stylish, and the reviews seemed nothing but great. How wrong was I. This is my first electric guitar, but I've played on countless others. And when I started playing this guitar the second I got it, a million things I discovered made me realize that this was called "studio" for a reason. The first thing I realized was how damn heavy it was! It actually broke through two of my straps' leather bindings. After I dealt with the weight, I plugged in and was aggravated some more. Strings are stock and standard, get different ones. These don't play well at all. But over the weight, and over the horrible strings, I can't say anything ticked me off more than the length this beauty would stay in tune. To this day, I can't get through one song without it falling out of tune. Very aggravating, indeed. Again, I play metal and punk, so the velocity of the picking might affect the string tuning more than anything, but then again, this guitar is labeled "goth." ...who's not going to play a bit of metal on this?Simple:Looks great. Strings will need to be upgraded. Humbuckers pick up like any other Gibson, great. You won't want to play with this live because of its weight. You will also need to have a live tuner in order to tune after every song. This is a studio guitar. Meant to be played for one quick song while being recorded and while sitting down focusing on the music. Remember: studio.

Comments about Epiphone Goth Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

I thought I would buy this guitar as a back up guitar; It looks cool and is priced right. I was very surprised at the quality of it right out of the box. It is solid! The tone is awesome and the feel is great. This is every bit as good as a Gibson Studio. I don't care much for the cut out switch, it isn't to my liking; but that is a very small con. I would recomend this to anyone on a budget who wants a great rock or metal guitar. You won't be disappointed!

Great guitar but shipped in two pieces. T the neck was broken off the guitar completely. Kudos to musicians friend for handling the damage claim so well. If not for the shipping drama i would give this Guitar five stars. Is a great instrument.

I purchased this guitar for 149.99 and for the money, you can't beat it. The parts alone are worth it. I bought this for learning my parts when I'm lazy and don't want change strings on my other axe's. The quality and price were awesome. I'll get plenty of use out of this axe. For 149.99, I wont worry about the little scratches like I do on my other 2500.00 guitars. This one just as well a great tone. I couldn't be happier.
