I bought mine almost 2 months ago and it has become my No#1.go to guitar . I can not believe that a Les Paul can sound this darn good for such a low price. I got mine brand new and was pleasantly pleasd at the quality of this fine instrument. The stock Alnico Classic Humbuckers cover a wide array of sounds ranging from Blues to of course, Metal . Once set up properly, the Grover tuners will keep this baby in tune forever and the weight of this is very light for a Les Paul, which is a comfort to somebody of amy age ( 54 ). I am playing it through my vintage 1989 Peavey Bandit 112 along with my Digitech RP-50 and I never get tired of playing it . This guitar with the amp and processor I just listed, make a deadly combination and will blow the smoke off of anybody's eardrums within a mile. I love the Celtic Cross outline and the Roman numeral XII inlay on the 12th fret which IMO, make this guitar stand out from your standard Epiphone. All in all, this is one great deal for either a beginner or someone who is on a low budget who always wanted a Les Paul . Great job Epiphone on a great guitar !

This guitar feels like it is made of plastic. Some parts ARE made of cheap plastic. Any reviews calling it "heavy" are out of touch with Les Pauls. I have been shopping for a good Les Paul for several months now, so I have a pretty good base to compare. To me it felt small, lightweight, the head & tuners felt plastic and cheap. The black finish is not nearly as bad as some state. My fingerprints easily wiped off. Having said all of this, if you are not expecting typical Les Paul feel, but want the Les Paul look with some edge, then this is an economical choice. I mean, yes it functions as a guitar and can give you a good metal sound. So that's good. But if the "feel" of the guitar matters to you AT ALL, then I would suggest saving a bit more and grabbing a black epi les paul standard or custom. I really wanted to like this guitar, was prepared to buy it, but I just couldn't handle how cheap it felt.

I wanted this guitar since it came out. Finally got it and couldn't be happier. Epiphone has came along way and i hold them to the same standard of any other brand. I honestly don't have to change anything on this guitar.

Comments about Epiphone Goth Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

A good sounding guitar. Substance to the tone. The problem? Fret problems at or above 12th fret. Fret out or dead spots. This is common with Epiphone. I had the same problem with my ES339 P90 Pro. I sent it out for a fret dress....it was worth it...plays like butter now and is one of my best sounding guitars, even over my Gibsons (SGs , a Firebird)....I will do the same with the Goth Les Paul...love the look of no position markers....

Comments about Epiphone Goth Les Paul Studio Electric Guitar:

I thought I would buy this guitar as a back up guitar; It looks cool and is priced right. I was very surprised at the quality of it right out of the box. It is solid! The tone is awesome and the feel is great. This is every bit as good as a Gibson Studio. I don't care much for the cut out switch, it isn't to my liking; but that is a very small con. I would recomend this to anyone on a budget who wants a great rock or metal guitar. You won't be disappointed!

Great guitar but shipped in two pieces. T the neck was broken off the guitar completely. Kudos to musicians friend for handling the damage claim so well. If not for the shipping drama i would give this Guitar five stars. Is a great instrument.

I purchased this guitar for 149.99 and for the money, you can't beat it. The parts alone are worth it. I bought this for learning my parts when I'm lazy and don't want change strings on my other axe's. The quality and price were awesome. I'll get plenty of use out of this axe. For 149.99, I wont worry about the little scratches like I do on my other 2500.00 guitars. This one just as well a great tone. I couldn't be happier.
