My wife got me this for my b-day. What a nice guitar! I got the natural one - with the later look Lennon version with the stripped off natural finish and gold Grover tuners in place of the vintage ones. The tuners are better than the standard tuners - but they are gold and all the rest of the hardware (bridge, pickup covers, strap buttons) are chrome so they don't match. But - that's how Lennon's looked after he had it stripped. I love it but it may bother some. The pick guard is NOT on it but they do include it in the case if you want to put it on. I prefer to keep the natural finish uncovered. The P90s are great - real Gibson P90s instead of the usual ones on the standard Casinos. THey sound a bit punchier and hotter and I think they are Alnico IIs but not 100% sure. Very smooth and great for blues and classic rock-n-roll. I love the flat, matte finish. It's almost like bare wood but with just enough to keep it from getting dirty. You pretty much can't use any kind of cleaner on it as it would mess with the finish. The included case is really sturdy and lined with an olive green velveteen material - very classy. It's the nicest case I've seen other than Gibson cases. Comes with the wrench for truss rod and a manual and the pick guard and a few other goodies. It has "Inspired by John Lennon" on the back of the headstock in gold and a small original Lennon drawing under that also in gold. Very nice and not too large - just enough to make it authentic. I give this one a 5 all across the board. Good job Epiphone!

This is a great guitar. It has incredible tone and an awesome natural acoustic sound unplugged. I read Clapton's bio and he said that in the early "poor" days, he practiced with his 335 unplugged and he loved the natural acoustic sound. I suppose this applies to any good hollowbody. This is what you get in this guitar. I have the plain jane Epi 335, which I think is the most fun to play; the Delonge AVA which rocks because of the true Gibson pickup; and the Riviera P-93. The P-93 is a better value for the price because of the bells and whistles. There is a lot of attention to detail with the Revolution, but it is pricey. I peeked at the pickups and they say Epi-USA P9 I wonder if these are indeed the same on the U.S Revolution. In this case, for true fans only because I think too much effort was made to imitate the original, which I thought took away from the completed product.

Comments about Epiphone Inspired by John Lennon Casino Hollowbody Electric Guitar:
I've wanted this guitar since it came out, being the Beatles fan that I am. Musician's Friends 20% coupon made me order now! What I didn't expect was the Fast Free shipping. I ordered Thursday afternoon, and had it in my hands Tuesday morning.
Now for the details:
I play rhythm and bass, retired from bands, I play for myself and do a little home recording and guitar repair as a hobby.
Out of the box this guitar played OK. Neck relief was .015. String height at 12th fret was .094 to .078 low to high. Nut height was .035 to .020 low to high.
I left the neck alone but lowered string height at the bridge and nut, as well as made minor intonation adjustments (it was close as is)
The nut had some sharp edges that I touched up with 600 grit sandpaper and cleaned the grooves with nut files.
I have not adjusted the pickup height yet, as I like the sound as is. Though I tend to start with Gibson specs and fine tune from there on all adjustments so I may tweak them later.
Like most guitar players I try to get the action as low as possible with out buzzes. With this guitar from out of box to now, only small minor adjustments were needed to satisfy me.
The only negative would be the protective plastic film and stickers I had to remove. Though Epiphone made that easy, and left little if no residue behind.
This is a very well built quality instrument in every way, that came shipped in a very nice quality hard shell case.
I was also impressed with the acoustic volume and sound unplugged, great for practicing anywhere.
Through an amp I was worried about feedback due to the hollow body, but none so far, even with distortion and high volume, trying to learn "Revolution" of course!
To sum it all up, I Love This Guitar!

Comments about Epiphone Inspired by John Lennon Casino Hollowbody Electric Guitar:
I grabbed one of these in Vintage burst in a trade, not because I'm a Lennon fan(although I am,) but because I love the tone of hollow and semi-hollow guitars. I've owned many Epiphones and Gibsons, and I can always tell where Epi is cutting corners with the workmanship. This is not so much the case here, these are USA Gibson pickups and electronics and it shows. The only thing I would caution is that the fret access past the 16th fret or so gets a little difficult, so if you want to play lots of high notes, you may want to get a 335/Dot/Sheraton. This guitar sounds full and fat, but will also do the 60's jangle just fine!

I love my Inspired By Lennon Epiphone
Awsome ,Grover Tuners,USA Tribute P-90 pickups
I am amazed at the Quaility, I can't find anything wrong with this guitar, I've been playing for over 40 yrs lead-Rythem -and sing, I set up my own guitar's to my spec's . I had a Gibson ES 335 (sold it), the Casino seems just as good , I like it more and play it more (MORE Fun), I also have a USA Deluxe Fender Stat, and a USA Deluxe Fender Ash Tele, I play Gigs With these 3 the Strat-Tele- Casino, I love all 3, This Casino adds a hold new demention to our band, Shipped to me From the Memphis Asembly Plant (same place my es335 was sent from). I refuse to play Crappy Guitars
Thank you Epiphone for making This one
Great Value
Comments about Epiphone Inspired by John Lennon Casino Hollowbody Electric Guitar:
i have had two Casino Elisits and returned them for inferior craftsmanship. I have a 2008 Gibsone LP Standard and it seems to have been assembled by the folks reposible for the Elitists I returned. Very let down by Gibson.
The JL Casino is markedly better and remarkable for the fit and finish. Tone delivers. Don't be fooled. This thing can go way beyond The Beatles.
Comments about Epiphone Inspired by John Lennon Casino Hollowbody Electric Guitar:
Though I haven't picked this guitar up in a while, I have no intentions of letting go of it. As my preferences change, some of my gear tends to come and go. This one's a keeper, if only because I like to play a hollowbody from time to time. The natural resonance reduces the need for reverb, and it's fun to have a variety of tonal options on hand. Mine came with a white pickguard, which I removed to honor the instrument's namesake. If John Lennon didn't want a pickguard on his, I certainly can't have one on mine! I understand he liked his Casino so much he had it refinished, revealing the natural wood grain. Go figure. But it's a cool axe, and I enjoy it very much.
Comments about Epiphone Inspired by John Lennon Casino Hollowbody Electric Guitar:
I own the Masterbuilt Casino, the Inspired by JL, a stock Casino, and the real John Lennon NOS Casino that was made in the Gibson Custom shop (parts were made in Japan on the original Kalamazoo machinery after Yoko Ono allowed Epiphone access to his guitar to take as many crucial measurements as possible (and has the same serial # as John's Casino). I just ordered the 50th anniversary with the tremelo (this is very close to George Harrison's Casino). I bought the inspired by Casino in the revolution finish because my Lennon Casino is the NOS version. The first release with the Lennon serial # is by far the best of all of them and was priced that way, The inspired by isn't even close but a good guitar in it's own rite. Still it is a really good buy. The Elitist is an excellent guitar however it doesn't sound much like the Lennon guitars but it is a really well made guitar and has it's own tone that is closer to modern than vintage guitars. The big surprise is the new 50th Anniversary Casino with it's version of the 61 cosmetics and vintage tone, it is also the least costly except for the stock Casino's The Inspired by is not even close to a John Lennon Casino and I doubt it will be collectable but it is a decent compromise and fine for a gig or to just play more authentic sounding Beatles music and at this price I don't freak out at every dent or scratch.
Comments about Epiphone Inspired by John Lennon Casino Hollowbody Electric Guitar:
It is a beauty!! Not only for the eyes, also for the ears!!! Plug or unplugged sounds beautiful. I have been playing it through my CyberChamp and it is just heaven. Got it about 2 weeks ago and I have not played any other guitar in my collection (Les Paul, Strat, acoustic-electrics). Comfortable neck, better than my LP Studio, yet my Strat has a better neck. Beautiful tone, bluesy scent. Light weight. Always wanted a semi-hollow/hollow guitar yet did not want to spend a lot of $$$. Still not a bargain, yet," all worth it!!!Played it straight out of the box. It still has the ""new wood"" smell. The case is great! I did not install the pickguard (why ruin its looks!!).
For the money.

I've owned my Epiphone Casino for about 2 years now, and I have nothing but great things to say about it. It's a great guitar, at a great value. It has a rich full sound, great for rhythm guitar (chords)...it's easy to play, and it's easy to sound great with this guitar. If you know the Beatles sound well, you can hear it everytime you strum this guitar. I highly recommend it !
Comments about Epiphone Inspired by John Lennon Casino Hollowbody Electric Guitar:
I bought the John Lennon Casino sometime last year. Yes, it's an Epiphone and relatively inexpensive, but if it was good enough for John Lennon it's good enough for me. During the past few years I have noticed quality craftsmanship in Epiphone instruments made in China and set up in the U.S.A. As to the action and intonation, the John Lennon Casino suited me fine right out of the box. The only issue I had was that the instrument didn't stay in tune very well. So I set it aside, storing it in its hardshell case for several months to give the wood some time to set, taking it out occasionally to tune it. Today the tuning is much more stable. Patience comes to those who wait. Played through a Vox AC4TV at 10 O'Clock with both pickups active produces a nice rich, chimey tone. I have an Electro-Harmonics Holy Grail Reverb pedal, but the sound of the John Lennon Casino through the Vox AC4TV, a tube amp, is so natural that no reverb is needed.
