OVERVIEW

A professionally upgraded Les Paul Custom with looks that kill.

The king of solid body guitars, the Les Paul Custom made its debut in 1954 after the initial success of the Les Paul Goldtop. Les Paul himself suggested black as a great color for a new Les Paul because it looked "classy" and went well with a tuxedo on stage. Now with its ebony or antique white finish, the Les Paul Custom has often been referred to as the "tuxedo" Les Paul.

And with its gold appointments, fully bound body, neck and headstock and mother-of-pearl inlays, we think you'll agree that the Epiphone Les Paul Custom is "dressed to kill". Now featuring ProBucker 2 and ProBucker 3 humbucking pickups, gold hardware, multi-binding on body (top and back), neck and headstock as well as split-diamond pearloid headstock and fretboard inlays, it's as gorgeous as it is deadly. Case sold separately.

First Impressions:
The guitar in Alpine White is absolutely stunning! Every aspect from craftsmanship to the weight is perfect.

Meat & Potatoes:
This guitar represents what Gibson and Epiphone are all about! Aside from making my own nut and trust-rod minor adjustments, the guitar is great! I was a little skeptical about the ProBuckers and the split coils, but these things will play anything. The out-of-phase switch really makes a unique tone. The 500Ohm pods are very sensitive and a little adjustment goes a long way. There is simply no limitations of sound that this guitar can't handle. I play mainly digital equipment and I couldn't find one amp or music genre that I couldn't play this guitar on. A lot of people want to change these pickups out and they are CRAZY!
The only thing I noticed that caught my fingers was the frets. They seemed to be coated with a protectant. After changing the strings and rubbing down the fretboard with a neck conditioner it was gone. The body weights and feels amazing. Some people have shipping issues with minor things such as broken toggle switches, but I found mine in perfect condition. In fact, the guitar was packaged and shipped with great care to ensure the guitar arrived in mint condition.

Bottom Line:
This guitar simply cannot be over looked because it doesn't have a name your looking for!! Gibson's and Epiphone's quality really shines through on this guitar. It feels great, plays great, and is in a very respectable price range. I usually change out a few items on my guitars, but I can't see anything that needs replacing. Buy it-you won't regret it! I would take this guitar to any show without a backup hands down.

Recv first " second" restock,to save a little dough. Was a great option in the past , but this one? Was not very playable, set up was poor. tried to set up, but it was still poor. no ring, no sustain, dead fret near nut....huh? It's a Les Paul? Well sent it back , next one better. still a bit of neck backbow...maybe from poor storage, long shipping, etc. , unsure why. Corrected that slight issue, then new strings and setup. I like really low action, this one is close, but can't achieve the same action as my gibs'. Neck feels fatter,rounder...and seems narrow at the nut...did not measure, going on feel. Plays ok, little buzz, no dead frets, but even the upgraded p/u's sounded a little thin and brittle. Binding on rear of lower horn pretty iffy, but not usually seen. There may be better options in the price range, too bad-always wanted a L/P custom...Stared saving again. I will keep to use as backup or for outdoor functions. let my studio or std. do the real work...too bad. Picked up my studio right after playing, difference in playability and tone are light years apart. Spent the same dough on a Str@t mex and it looks and plays as it should, great. maybe look at some others, unless you too, really wanted a custom.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO Electric Guitar:

You can't go wrong with this guitar. It's hands down one of the best guitars Epiphone has ever made. The neck is smooth and has a lot of speed to it, the pick ups have so much clarity and are capable of producing any sound you want for any style of music you play, the craftsmanship is unbelievable and will keep you in awe every single time you pick it up and start playing it, it's incredibly beautiful!(I got the Ebony&Gold!), and the hardware is perfect!

If you're wanting a real solid all around amazing guitar for the perfect price, this one is for you.
I would put this up against anything, anytime, anywhere.

This guitar is worth every penny. Epiphone has truly made something special here.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO Electric Guitar:

I decided to order this guitar after looking at a lot of different images of it online and researched the pickups.
As a former pro musician, I've been playing Fender Strats for almost 40 years, but one of my first electrics when I was a young teen was an ebony Univox Les Paul from the early 70's. I'd been looking for a nicer version for a while and this one really caught my eye. Had to have it.
And after receiving it, all I did was change the strings and have at it. The guitar is solid, the tone is fantastic and the feel is really nice. Fit and Finish are top notch. I see no point in paying for a Gibson model, it can hardly be much better than this one is, at 1/4 the cost of a comparable Gibson. I find myself wanting to play this one over my Fender Strat when it's time to crank it up for a few hours, at least for now. I would not hesitate to recommend this guitar to a beginner or an experienced player.

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO Electric Guitar:

First of which this guitar is worth protecting so buy a hard case. The Epiphone ENLPCS worked well for me. I found the guitar to be of very good quality and sound. Was surprised of the smoothness of fret board, inlays, binding, neck, etc. and the playing action setup out of box. The pickups in standard forms are similar to their more expensive cousins sound and effects wise. The bridge seems not as loud as the neck. The coil tap and phase switching provides numerous sound/tone options. It sounds good through both Marshal and Fender tube amps. This is a high end Epiphone, not a 4 grand USA made custom LP but very nice LP of it's own. I purchased it to use for slide but it sounds and plays to good to limit it to a higher action I need to play that style. Very pleased!

I've had mine for quite a few years now....(Korean made). I love the feel of the neck and love the sound. I have customized it a bit more and feel this adds tons to the tone....
                    1) swapped out pickups for 2 gibson alnico 5 burstbucker pros-single most significant improvement in tone!
                    2) replaced bridge with wilkinson, high mass, roller bridge. More sustain, warmer tone IMO
                    3) Wilkinson kluson style locking tuners: prettier and this thing never goes out of tune
                    4) replaced neck pickup 500K tone pot with a 1MEG tone pot: I've always felt neck pu on les paul's sounds muddy.....a 1 MEG pot just gives it more brightness and edge..

                    Love this guitar!

Comments about Epiphone Les Paul Custom PRO Electric Guitar:
