Dwight Yoakam lays his Bakersfield groove onto the Casino.
The groove on the the Limited Edition Elitist Dwight Yoakam œDwight Trash Casino literally starts with a Beveled Reverse Firebird-style headstock “ a Casino first. This allows bass strings to have a slightly looser tension and treble strings to have a higher tension. Lead players who love to play melody lines on the low strings will have a deep, articulate twang while still maintaining the chiming, bell-like treble tones the Casino is known for. Dwight Yoakam' signature is on the back of each headstock. The 5-ply laminated maple body has a SlimTaper mahogany neck. Gibson P-90 pickups supply all the twang and snarl you'll need.
Limited Edition Elitist Dwight Yoakam œDwight Trash Casino Outfit! Dwight Yoakam' combination of Bakersfield country and Mersey Beat pop brought rockers to country and honky tonk to pop music with smash hits like œGuitars, Cadillac', œFast As You, œLittle Sister, and œTurn It On, Turn It Up, Turn Me Loose. Dwight broke out of the incredible Los Angeles country punk scene in the early 80s with a dash of Buck Owens, a dash of Beatles, and a whole new attitude that shook up country and rock and roll. And his influence still resonates today. We™ve known all along that Dwight was a big fan of the Epiphone Casino. So together, in collaboration with Dwight and Epiphone' design team, we bring you a Casino that is just like Dwight' music, a breakthrough combination of a familiar tune with a whole new groove, the Limited Edition Elitist Dwight Yoakam œDwight Trash Casino.
Guitars, Cadillac', and Casinos! Dwight Yoakam fans know the Kentucky native is a serious rhythm guitar player as well as a hit singer, songwriter, and actor. Yoakam' classic cover of Johnny Horton' œHonky Tonk Man featured an acoustic guitar solo--not something you hear everyday! Since then, Dwight has been known to turn up the volume on stage, often using Casinos in his live act and in the studio. Now, thanks to Dwight' incredible attention to detail and quality, and through special arrangement with Epiphone Japan, the Limited Edition Elitist Dwight Yoakam œDwight Trash Casino Outfit gives longtime Casino fans some new and startlingly original features while keeping the Casino' legendary sound just as you remember it.
Breaking New Ground: But it' at the headstock where the œDwight Trash breaks news ground. For the first time in the history of the Casino, Epiphone and Dwight Yoakam collaborated to give the œDwight Trash Casino a Beveled Reverse Firebird style headstock. This allows bass strings to have a slightly looser tension and treble strings to have a higher tension while still retaining the Casino' personality. For fans of the Dwight Yoakam sound who seek a low, almost baritone quality from the low strings but want to stay in standard tuning, the Reverse Firebird style headstock is a huge plus. Now, lead players who love to play melody lines on the low strings will have a deep, articulate twang while still maintaining the chiming, bell-like treble tones the Casino is known for. Dwight Yoakam' signature is on the back of each headstock along with the Elitist logo. The truss-rod cover is 2-ply black/white in the traditional Firebird shape with œEpiphone Dwight Trash in silver silkscreen. And to top it off, the œDwight Trash features Mini-GroverTM 14:1 ratio tuners. Totally cool. Totally original, just like Dwight.
Hillbilly Hollowbody Deluxe: The œDwight Trash features a 5-ply laminated Maple body that follows the time honored lines of the historic Casino. The 24.75 scale SlimTaper Mahogany neck is hand set with TiteBond glue. The Rosewood fingerboard features parallelograms with Yoakam' trademark "Snake Eyes" dice inlay on the 12th fret. A 1.68 nut width gives proper string spacing for comfort and tuning stability.
Elitist Electronics: The Epiphone Elitist series offers players the ultimate Epiphone experience and the œDwight Trash is no different featuring a Gibson USA P90T Dogear pickup in the neck position and a Gibson USA P90R Dogear in the bridge position. The tone and volume controls are classic vintage style with gold metal inserts with pointers and the 3-way Switchcraft toggle is set up for rhythm, lead, and both pickups.
Honky Tonk Style: Along with superior electronics and a breakthrough design, the œDwight Trash comes in two eye catching finishes new to Epiphone, Jackpot White and Roulette Red. Jackpot White features a beautiful pearl white finish with a fine metallic shine, thin black/white/black binding on the top, and double gold sparkle binding on the body and neck. The Jackpot White also features all gold finishing on the pickups, tailpiece, and toggle switch. The Roulette Red is a deep, cherry-like red with beautiful hints of maple grain showing through the finish with all Nickel hardware, pickups and Mini-Grover 14:1 tuners.
Classic Epiphone Hardware with a Twist: The œDwight Trash features our standard gold Tune-o-matic bridge with a classic Epiphone tailpiece. The pickguard for the Jackpot White is gold ABS with inlaid œsnake eyes dice while the Roulette Red is a 3-layer pickguard (white/black/white) ABS with inlaid œSnake Eyes Dice.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Elitist "Dwight Trash" Casino Outfit:
Beautiful guitar. Sounds fantastic, very playable. Impeccable build quaility, lovely details and excellent components.
Reverse Firebird headstock takes some getting used to for quick tunings or alternate tunings, but not a problem anymore.
People will comment on the finish and appearance, and they will love it or hate it. I love it and was attracted to the embellishments-- gold trim, gold hardware, dice inlays.
Very happy with the purchase.
Exactly what you would expect from a Casino. If you want a true hollowbody guitar with P90 pickups this is it.
No complaints about quality. Even the case is nice in a different kind of way with the purple lining.
Quality every bit as good (or better) than my Gibson Les Paul Standard.
Hard to comment on value. There is a premium price, but reasonable for a limited edition guitar.
