OVERVIEW

The guitar that brought "Yesterday" to life.

This Epiphone Acoustic Electric Guitar was inspired by the 1964 Texan acoustic made famous by a Sir-tain frontman of a British quartet that helped change the face of popular music, and much like his own instruement, this one is crafted for left-handers. With a solid spruce top and solid mahogany back it provides you with full, rich tone. The guitar's one-piece, 25-1/2"-scale mahogany neck is secured with a glued-in dovetailed neck joint and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. Proper tuning is assured by vintage tuners with small buttons.

The Epiphone guitar's rosewood reversed belly bridge has a traditional saddle. The Shadow NanoFlex pickup and preamp system is made for high-quality, all solid wood guitars. The preamp has volume, bass, and treble controls. Case sold separately.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Inspired by "1964" Texan Left Handed Hollowbody Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Having previously bought the EJ 200 the year before, I feared I would again need a special case as I did for the jumbo, but if fit nicely into my hard shell dreadnought case. The tone was incredible from the start and the action much nicer than the EJ 200. It had a little fret buzz, but after re-tuning a few times without messing with the neck- it seems to have gone away. I haven't played it out yet but jammed unplugged with my band. I also tried the pick-up-less moody than the versatile pick-up on the EJ200, but a clear acoustic sound. I bought mine new with a pre-Christmas deep discount and a free two year warranty. Can't say for certain I would recommend it at the listed price, but it is a great playing acoustic.
