Just piced it up 12-22-09 and this is my first LP and I have to tell you that this sounds much better than many of the Gibson LP's I have listened to. I was looking for something with some warm sounds as well as bite and this Epi LP has it with the Alinco Classic Plus pickups on it. I had the original Starfire, 70's Gibson 335 TD, Peavey T-60, Harmony single cutaway from the 60's and a few others. But this beats them all for tone and playing. I had to set the string height and touch up the intonation. I put a set of Slinky Classic all nickel wound 10's on it and man it is ever sweet. I have no complaints about this guitar. All I have to do is lay my fingers on the strings and the balance is fantasic it stays where I put it. The right solid body archtop for the job I want it to do. If you buy this I don't think you will ever regreat it. You should really play one for yourself that is what sold me on it.

Overspray/slight finish rippling on the back, slightly mis-set TRC,slight overspray in the binding.Just for this,I think it should've been a blem, but oh well.It played "unwell" out of the box,but I mananaged to get it do-able for the show a few days later.Played it for a coupla' sets, sounded like a LP,Fat & Hot.Most of the appeal was/is the construction, maple top/mahogany neck. It's pretty much a glamourized Standard.Took it to the gig next week,no output from bridge p/up.Upon further review,it seems a coil has opened in the br p/up,without any major jostling of it.Should've bought used, too late to return.Just had to play/have one so my Gibby can be used for recording.Been playing 25-ish years,it'll be pretty OK after a set-up/dressing,I already have pick-ups,although my brief encounter was rather pleasant.Like I said,Underwhelmed, but hopefully a good once-over will iron out the bugs.Still have to contact Epi about the p/up,hopefully that won't be to much of a PITA...

excellent buy

By arcl1ght

from renfrew,pa

I recently purchased this guitar, and.. wow! This is an excellent buy, and not just for the price. The neck and fret action are fabulous the tone's great and it sounds great amped or not, and its just as pictured. The only thing I'm not that pleased with are the pickups. They sound great clean but, w/dist they're a little too crunchy sounding (I use a marshal mini stack, zoom 505, and eq. pedal). But overall its an ecellent buy, and personally I'm glad I didn't buy the gibson I was comparing it to (LP standard).

I'll probably always love this guitar.

By MusicallyObsessed

I bought this Limited Edition Les Paul Custom about 4 years ago as my very first guitar. Although I admit I had nowhere near as much idea what I was looking for then as I do now, I still love this guitar. I now have 7 guitars ranging from Fender Tele, to ESP Explorer shape, and Ibanez RGA which are all amazing but this one keeps up right along with them all. Over the years I've kept it in many tunings, I now keep it in a standard B tuning and even that low it still sounds awesome. I also really like that its not as heavy as many other Les Pauls I've played, but don't be fooled. Its a solid guitar. It doesn't have some of the features I've grown to like over time such as coil-splitting, but for the regularly available features of a Les Paul, I love it.

WOW ! ! !

Wow what an axe. I got this last year, and wow it never fails to amaze. The looks are stunning, and the sound is even better. The action comes pretty good and the bridge allows you to adjust it to whatever you want. The only downside is that the body has a very nice finger print collection and the body is a little snug in the case but thats not a bad thing I guess.

O.K. I love Epiphone Guitars And When This model came out I was In love even more. But I have ordered 2 and both have had Crooked Diamond Inlays on the Headstock and Also They had no Limited/ Custom logo on the Back of the head stock. I could live with out the logo but Who wants to look at a Guitar that has Obviously Crooked features!

Nice!!!

By G//itAr |)ude

I just bought this guitar and arrived yesterday, I have to say it looks even better in RL (real life ). Over all nice guitar, I was expecting more, I had to make minor adjustments, and you are definetly gonna have to change the pickups if ur a lead guitarist. It sounds amazing clean, thats its best quality, Action is a bit stiff, in my opinion or maybe I just have to get use to it. The neck feels great... PERFECT!!!

Got it for Christmas

Been playing accoustic since the 60's. This would be my first electric. Running it through a VOX VR15. Sounds pretty impressive to me. Can't find a review on the amp either. Wish someone with more background in electric would review this. Chinese Les Paul, Chinese VOX, what's the world coming to? I just said thank you and Merry Christmas, Darlin'.

F'n Great

I have another les paul with gold hardware but the silver just looks so much better to me. Next to the les paul with the gold, the gold just looks more generic. The sound, tone, and feel of the guitar is just plain awsome, out of the three that I have it is my favorite. I had planned on replacing the pickups when I first ordered it but the sound of the guitar changed my mind. At this price for a les paul custom, its a steal.

Amazing Guitar

By Seattle

I just bought this guitar last summer, and I have been impressed every time I have played it since. It looks amazing, especially with the chrome pickguard included (I don't think its shown in the picture, but it looks great) and the finish looks great altogether. The action was slightly high for my preference when I recieved it, but some simple adjustments make it perfect. The tone is great, especially playing classic rock or jazz. This guitar is a great deal for a beautiful, amazing guitar. Don't pass this by.

Les Paul Custom A Real Buy

By Old Time Rocker

from Macomb, IL

I play primarily classic rock and the Les Paul Custom is certainly up to the task. It looks great and has a more powerful and wider range of tone than I would have expected. It is a big advance over my old Les Paul Standard. Excellent value for the price.
