Stunning Les Paul looks matched with professional guitar appointments.

Epiphone's history and association with Les Paul dates way back to the days when Les, working at the Epiphone factory on 14th St. in New York, created the world's first electric guitar. Over the years, Les continued to work closely with Epiphone by reviewing new product ideas and offering suggestions. The Epiphone Les Paul PlusTop PRO electric guitar combines the best of Les Paul's original design with new features that set this Epiphone guitar apart.

    Professional Electronics
The Les Paul PlusTop PRO uses Epiphone's 4-wire, nickel/silver base humbuckers with newly tooled, USA-style bobbins. In the neck position is Epiphone’s chrome-covered ProBucker-2 with warm, thick vintage tone. It's uniquely paired with a chrome-covered ProBucker-3 humbucker, an inspired by version of Gibson's BurstBucker-3, that features unevenly wound coils and Alnico-II magnets that replicate that "Patent Applied for" airy tone. To top it all off, both volume controls feature push/pull potentiometers allowing you to coil-split each pickup for single-coil sounds. Combined with the 3-way toggle, you get 6 unique sounds from one great Les Paul guitar.

    Premium tone woods
The Epiphone Les Paul PlusTop PRO guitar has a solid mahogany back with a gorgeous, carved flame top. Its solid mahogany neck is hand-fitted and glued into the body for excellent neck-to-body contact and resonates almost like one continuous piece of wood.

    Loaded with add-ons
Other features on the Epiphone Les Paul included quality Grover tuners, a traditional cream-colored pickguard, and LockTone™ tune-o-matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece.

    Features

    • Mahogany body
    • Carved flamed maple top
    • 24.75" Scale set-in mahogany neck
    • Rosewood fretboard
    • 22 Medium jumbo frets
    • ProBucker 2 humbucking neck pickup with coil-split
    • ProBucker 3 humbucking bridge pickup with coil-split
    • LockTone™ tune-o-matic bridge
    • LockTone™ stopbar tailpiece
    • Grover tuners

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul PlusTop PRO Electric Guitar:

Great Guitar, picked it up during MF's Tax sale and couldn't be happier. Right out of the box this guitar was set up pretty well. Only issue I had was tone/volume knobs were on a bit crooked, but is easily fixed. The Probuckers on this thing are great, nice warm vintage sound. This things sounds awesome clean or dirty, just the way an LP should, not to mention sustain for days. I picked mine up in Desert Sunburst and was so glad the rep from MF pointed me in that direction, the color is gorgeous. The pictures on here do not even come close to how beautiful this guitar is. If you're in the market for an LP, this is the guitar for you. The price could not be beat and MF is ALWAYS a pleasure to work with.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul PlusTop PRO Electric Guitar:

UPS just dropped it off and I'm in shock. I purchased the desertburst model and let me tell you the pictures don't come close to doing it justice, because the guitar is just stunning. Tuned it up and plugged it in and was again surprised at what it can do. I recently sent back an Epiphone Standard because I didn't care for it at all, but not this one, this one's staying. Set up seems to be on the money and it justs sounds fantastic.I have an American Special Strat at twice the price that can't stand up to this guitar, again I'm really happy with this purchase. Incredible guitar for the price, Wow
          Thanks Musicians Friend.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul PlusTop PRO Electric Guitar:

I got the Desert Burst finish and it looks beautiful, no flaws in the finish. Setup out of the box is another matter. Epiphone's "Pre-Pack Checklist" showed that someone had checked off on everything, but I kinda doubt it. All 4 volume and tone knobs were barely on the shafts and wobbled when you turn them (not a real big deal, I just had to push them on, but seriously, no one noticed this??!!) Intonation was a disaster, but again, I can do that and it is now perfect. All in all, once I get the nut cut down a bit, it will be a really nice instrument. It has great tone and sustain, and I would recommend this to a friend.

The pics online don't do it justice! The desert burst is outstanding!Feels and sounds like a les paul of a higher price. Had two friends who have Gibson les pauls and they both said the sound and feel were on the money. The pick up switch is jacked and only allows one pick up or the other to be used. I don't need them both to be on at the same time so it is not a factor for me. Should have bought one of these YEARS ago!

I was looking for a guitar that would sound like the ones we played back in the sixties and seventies and the probuckers really give you the full bright tones from back then. The finish and look of the guitar is fantastic. I got the desertburst and it is absolutely beautiful.
