This is a great sounding guitar, the humbuckers get a great distortion, the neck pickup isnt muddy, and it looks cool with alpine white. I expected this guitar to be slightly thicker than it is based on the other les paul models i have played, but it is still a good thickness for me. it is not excessivly heavy, and it plays wonerfully. I usually use my hollow body for my cleans, but this one is still good. i can get nice jazz tones out of it through a fender, but dont buy it for cleans. it is important to realise though that this is still an epiphone, not a gibson. It is a wonderfull guitar, dont get me wrong, but people are saying it is just as good as a gibson which is not true. People were also talking about a fading issue with the gold hardware, i have not encountered this yet and i have had mine for roughly 3 months now so i hope i dont but it is too early to tell if it will be an issue. I hooked up to my friends peavy and tuned it down to drop c with 11 guages and i got some nice metal tones out of it. It is a perfect guitar for anybody who is playing on a budget, i would highly reccomend it for a first/second guitar,if you are still experimenting to find your tone and i absolutely love mine. Have Fun!!!
nice tuners and wiring. not excellent though
slightly off mill work. no biggie though
this is one of the best values that you will find in an lp style guitar

Minus the issue i had with the bridge, this turned out to be a very good buy. I have used this guitar in the studio multiple times because of its tonal clarity. I would reccomend this to intermediate players looking to up the souond quality of their performance.
Its got every feature a Les Paul has to offer. As is the nature with most les pauls, this is on the heavy side, so use a reliable strap.
This is where it got rocky. My tun-o-matic was rather sharp...by this I mean that I was breaking strings on a daily basis. After further analysis, I noticed every string had broken at the bridge. Running my finger along the contact point, it came to my attention that the slots had not been filed since casting, leaving a sharp metal seem that periodically broke strings. This was not difficult to fix, but i was upset that I had to go through the trouble to fix something that should have been caught during inspection. Im not saying this is a problem with every guitar off the line, but if it happens to you, you have been warned.
If you want Les Paul tone on a budget, this is definatly the way to go.

I purchased this guitar this summer.I really like this guitar.its a lot lighter than the Epiphone Les paul I had.its got a very comfortable feel.and nice tone .but they say it has a slim tapered neck, but it feels a bit fat I guess its just something I have to get use to.they did a good job on the finish.I got a good deal on it I guess Ill keep this guitar for long time!!!

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

My fiance got this as a starting out electric guitar. She loves les pauls but soon felt that this guitar wasn't built for her. (She's small). She gave it to me to do what I want with and boy was my work cut out for me. There were various issues with the set up, neck, and tuners but I'll take it slow.
First was the neck. It had a mighty hump. The previous owner was a friend and he didn't play it much so it lived in it's case. Through that time the neck had gone bowed to the fretboard side where I took a ton of time and elbow grease making it right again. I got rid of the hump but a new problem arose... intonation.
The tune-o-matic bridge is easy enough to decipher but it seemed that no matter how my measurements came out, the intonation wasn't close enough to play it without having a power chord start to phase as you play up the neck. And when I did get it in tune, the tuners slip! If I breathed a sigh on it I'd be 2 whole steps down from what ever I'm tuned in! I fixed it but it was a days worth of fighting and cussing the thing out. After all the mess I thought I was done. Plugged it in and found a personal issue.
Now this is just my opinion and a personal preference but the pick ups on this thing were bass driven as Barry White. I thought maybe things would be different as I was playing thru an orange 35LDX practice amp. I plugged it in thru my Marshall ADT150 head and to my surprise the tone stood on the bass side still. Flipping up the pick up selector to the neck made it only worse. It creates an endless fog of fuzz and farting through a pop can.
When unplugged, I love it. Sadly there's still a ton of work I would like to do to it and I've owned it for a solid year now. Plugged in I have my reserves and these are personal reviews. Maybe someone got luckier than I did but now I understand why my friend sold this to my lady at such a good price. If it gets stolen? I'd laugh and put my money into another telecaster as a solid back up.

Comments about Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Studio Deluxe Electric Guitar:

Extremely surprised that my level 2 "used" Les Paul came in with factory stickers on the pick guard, and pickups. This must have been an immediate send back if someone purchased it previously. Very great sounding guitar, surprised at the deal I got. If you get a chance, don't hesitate getting a level 2 used instrument from MF.

I got this guitar a year ago so I could branch of from acoustic music to some rock and roll. Iinstantly fell in love with this guitar. There are some minor flaws like loose bolts that are easily fixed.it is great for just jamming around on almost any amp. I highly recommend it. ROCK ON!

I use the Epi for Jazz. Although most Jazz players may not agree-it has a really good Jazz sound and the smaller, solid body is much easier to play than my larger hollow body jazz box.

Great cleans and with a little overdrive sounds like Tom Scoltz through my Marshall. At this price you should buy one as a conversation piece for the living room, better yet play it you'll love it!
