Been playing for years on a Gibson LP, I wanted an inexpensive backup guitar for live gigs. I've always loved the SG, so when they came out with this LE model, I grabbed it (let's face it, the wood grain is nifty). Sure it feels a little flimsy, the tuners could be better, the nut is like a plastic chopstick and the pickups could have more character, but for the price I shall not complain! It's a totally decent, fun piece of machinery. I wouldn't want it as my main guitar, but I'm absolutely pleased with it for my purposes.

My playing is limited to say the least, but I own several nice and several less nice guitars. I can how ever hear and feel the quality of a guitar and if I have any doubt I watch which guitars the regular troup of next generation rock stars reach for as they wander in my house. They love the sound, action, and they love the natural looking finish. They play everything on the SQ from punk, a little country, and of course they dream of being called Angus. Short of wanting to play my 62 SG or an Explorer this kids on this street say this thing rocks. Simple guitar, good price, great sound. How cool is that?

If Target made SGs (not a bad thing!)

Of all of the guitars in its class none compare to this beauty no matter if you buy the Limited Edition or the regular one it is a wonderful starter guitar I own the Ebony regular model it was my first guitar and I love it so much now after buying much more expensive guitars I am going to make some changes and make it my #1 guitar again it is a good project guitar as well.

Wood grain rocker

Wow! I was impressed with this guitar right out of the box. The guitar arrived with a plunky first fret, but after a set up and string change, it could'nt be a better deal. The wood grain is beautiful, and the sound compares to it's higher priced cousins.

Sweet for metal

I just got my guitar yesterday and couldn't be happier with it. It was everything i expected and more. I love it so much that I couldn't put it down the whole day. I played it for at least 4-5 hours. I only recommend a string change before you really begin to play. This guitar can really pump out metal especially thrash like Metallica or Slayer. But turn it on to clean and the tone is clear and perfect. Definately worth the money.

I've Been Playing For 15 years and always loved the Sg's, this Sg in particular is one of the funnest ones i've ever had the pleasure of holding and playing, it sounds excellent, and is more than beautiful, if you're just beginning, or have been playing for awhile, this is the guitar for you!

METAL FINGERS

By RIVER TROLL

from Edmonton,AB

Wow! what a deal!! I've had mine for 2 years and it keeps suprising me!! I love the smooth thin neck. It allows for some serious fast shredding!! A-1. I have another SG model and note for note this guitar blows it away. Even with only a single volume and tone knob I am able to get great tonal variety. I recommend this guitar to any one interested in an SG.

I bought this guitar when I saw it in a musican's friend catalogue, because I loved the price, the look, and the uniquness of having a limited edition guitar. Once I got the actual guitar, I fell in love. It has a beautiful sound, a beautiful look, and an amazing feel when it's being played. It is extrememly light, which is wonderful for switching between guitar and vocals, and keyboard and vocals. This an overall wonderful guitar and I'd recommend it to anyone from intermediate to advanced players.

Pretty nice

By Metalguitarist

from Flower Mound, TX

This is a great guitar cheap and good looking. The sound that comes out of this thing is pretty good and it's really light for the wood its made from. The sustain of the model is pretty good for it's price. The palm muting sounds beautiful and I find it easy to palm mute with the tune-o-matic bridge. This is a great guitar especially for beginners.

nice looking

from Undisclosed

I play bass but wanted an electric to mess around on so I looked for something cheep. I really liked the look of the sg with the zebra humbuckers and the price is pretty cheap. It isnt being used for shows and the sound doesnt even compare to a gibson or even the G-400s but it looks nice sounds ok and the Limited edition is pretty cool.
