I had been looking at this guitar for a while now, but the regular list price was a little too steep for me. When the price dropped on the limited edition, I jumped on it, and fast. The guitar rocks. It looks fantastic, with the beautiful orange finish. It's a semi-hollowbody, and it feels nicely balanced when strapped on. The pickups sound great in all three positions (played clean through a Fender Champ 12). The fretboard is fast, and the controls are well-placed. Out of the box, the intonation needed some fine-tuning, and using the Bigsby requires tuning up more frequently, but that's to be expected. All in all, I had been pining for a guitar to replace my beloved red Gibson ES-335 which I had to sell a while back. I've played many guitars looking for a suitable replacement, and with the Wildkat, I think this is the one.
Just got my Wildkat a few days ago and I'm pretty happy. I don't know how long this guitar is going to be on sale, but it is a STEAL at that price. Let's see. Grover tuners, Bigsby Tremolo, 2 P90's. Right there it's worth the money in hardware alone. The guitar itself is well crafted and the sunrise orange finish is gorgeous. For this price I was surprised to see attention to details such as the F-holes have binding (as does the body and neck) and the back of the neck is finished with the sunrise orange stain (often times, the back of the neck will be plain or black). My only complaint about this guitar is that the body is slightly smaller than what I was expecting, but that's minor to me. All in all, this guitar is a great value.
