Great Value

Features:

The guitar is as advertised....single pickup economy model of the Les Paul Junior.  Very basic in its features.

Quality:

First off....I read many of these reviews comparing an inexpensive guitar to the top of the line Gibson's.  For the price I can't imagine the quality getting any better.  The one I recieved had a straight neck, great finish and well built.  A fantastic value.

Value:

For the price this is a complete bargain.

Overall:

I have been a musician for over 35 years.  I own and have owned top of the line Gibson and Fender's.  I purchased this guitar to set up for slide.....I only play slide on a few songs so I didn't want to lay out a lot of cash to carry a third guitar into a bar.  I would not hesitate using this in either slide set-up or normal playing. You get much more than you pay for on this guitar.

Epiphone Les Paul Junior

Features:

Purchased this guitar for my 9 yr old daughter to use playing Rocksmith.  She has taken to it like a fish to water.  I've had no issues with it staying in tune and it is a very attractive guitar (Sunburst).  It is basic with the one pickup, but for a first guitar and its' pricing it is more than satisfactory.

Excellent value for money

Features:

Not much as as far as features.  One pickup, volume and tone pots, tuners.  Its about as simple as a guitar can get, but its expected in this price range.

Quality:

For the amount of money you pay, the EpI LP Jr. is built very well.  Bolt on neck, very sturdy.  Very reliable.  The only fault I found here are the tuners, where there is much more to be desired.  I suggest replacing them soon after purchase.

Value:

This is where it really shines.  There is no better new guitar for under $150 out there.  The only thing that competes is the Squier Stratocaster, which I find to be pretty lifeless.  The LP Jr has some "umph" to it, coming from its single humbucker.  Some might argue that since there is only one pickup, the range of tone is lacking.  The tone knob is very useable and you can dial in different tones using the EQ on your amplifier.

Overall:

Overall an excellent guitar for a beginner or someone looking for a base for a project.  Good quality, and good tone for the price.  If you can put together a few more bucks I would go with an SGR by Schecter, but you really can't go wrong with the Epiphone Les Paul Junior.

Rick on the LP Junior Special

Features:

I bought this guitar for my youngest grandson for christmas. I told him his great gramps was the last one in our family to play so it was up to him to carry on. When I saw the guitar I thought it was exactly what he would need to get started, it's basic and beautiful.

Quality:

I wish I could attach a picture of him with the instrument, he said it sounds wonderful and is built like a brick house.

Value:

I wish I could have owned a guitar like this when I was growing up, I'm glad I could find a Quality piece like this for the great price I paid.

Overall:

Great sound, great price, wonderful looks, what more could you ask for?

One of the best deals available

Features:

For this guitar's design, it has all the features it needs.

Quality:

The quality of this Epiphone Les Paul Junior is excellent!  After the strings stretched for a couple of days, this guitars stays in tune very well!  It has the finish and construction of a hand-built instrument.  The neck joins the body perfectly.  The finish is flawless.

Value:

I bought this guitar from Musician's Friend for cheap!  How can you beat that price for such a great-sounding and beautiful guitar?

Overall:

I've read other reviews claiming the tuners are cheap and need replacing to keep the guitar in tune.  This is certainly not a problem with the instrument I bought.  The single bridge pickup performs wonderfully. I bought the Cherry color, and it is absolutely beautiful!  The picture on the web sites cannot show this guitar's true beauty!
