Good tonewoods, perfect joinery, good (not perfect) finishing, adequate hardware, nicely balanced sound. The electronics seem to be an afterthought: the parts are stuck on with double-sided tape that had let go when I received it; the volume control is hard to get to quitely. The case is OK quality, but can't be air shipped as is. The instrument benefitted tremendously from a good luthier's setup, which added to the final price. At that price, it's still an excellent value for your money. Recommended.
AFter owning a Gibson J-200 flat top for 14 years,- I was reluctant to go nylon. However, the EN-546CE has a loud punch without hooking-up the amp! I'm really impressed with the deep low bass & rich treble tones. It is beautifully crafted;-no flaws what-so-ever. It sounds great with a flat pick, finger picks & of course, raw finger-picking. I can even drop-tune with no problems using D'Addatio's EXP extra hard tension nylon strings. With it's great price (cool case included)-it's a must for anyone.
This is one beautiful guitar, maybe not for a classical purist, but for someone looking for the nylon sound and flat fingerboard. The neck is a tad narrower that a "true" classical guitar. It's perfect for someone who plays jazz, bossa nova, or folk styles. The pick-up sound very good, and the workmanship, fit and finish are second to none!
