Epiphone

A striking. striped semi-hollowbody with Gibson Dirty Fingers.

The Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 is built to the exact specifications of Blink-182's guitarist, Tom Delonge. This cool new archtop combines semi-hollowbody design with the raw power of a USA-made Gibson Dirty Fingers™ humbucker pickup in a one-of-a-kind signature model. The Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 features a mahogany center block for robust sustain wrapped in a laminated maple body. A solid mahogany neck joined at the 17th fret and the unique and instantly recognizable Tom Delonge "paintjob" featuring an eye-catching cream-colored racing stripe down the center of it's brown gloss finished body makes a bold statement.

Powerful Looks, Powerful Sound! Aside from the head-turning color-scheme, the real horsepower is under the hood and powered by one Humbucker pick-up. But it’s not just any solitary Humbucker mind you! As Tom Delonge prefers for himself, this semi-hollowbody has one super-HOT Gibson USA Dirtyfingers™ Humbucker pickup right there at the bridge for sound that’s guaranteed to cut through. Described as the critical union between power and dirt, Tom chose this pickup because "It's awesome. It sounds so good. It has so much more clarity and volume and a much wider sound... I instantly fell in love with it." Turn it down with the lone volume knob and turn your amp up for a clean, vintage tone, with a hearty breath of smoke. Turn both the guitar and your amp up and smoke the neighbors with Tom’s signature tone!

Still Packed With More Value: Other details include a rosewood fingerboard with traditional “Dot” inlay, quality electronic parts including a full 1” 500K Ohm potentiometer and heavy-duty output jack. It also features chrome hardware including premium 16:1 ratio Grover® machine heads for superior tuning stability and accuracy. Also included as standard equipment on the Epiphone Delonge Signature ES-333 are Epiphone’s exclusive LockTone™ locking Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece which pump out even more sustain and make string changes a breeze.

Always There For You: The Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 is protected by the Epiphone Lifetime Limited Warranty featuring Gibson 24/7/360 Customer Service and guarantees the instrument against defects in materials or workmanship.

Let me preface this with saying that I've owned a very wide range of guitars, mostly Gibsons, through the years. In general, you get what you pay for. Long story short, this wonderful guitar delivers like a high end Epi that is frankly better than many low end Gibsons. I really couldn't be happier with the sound, quality and construct. Just be sure you understand what you are buying here: semi-hollow, rounder sound with more distortion/feedback from the strategically selected dirty finger pickup. If you are playing pop punk or modern country with a hard rock edge...this is the guitar for you. If you are looking for a smooth jazz sound, well...you probably wouldn't be here shopping a Tom Delonge model anything. LOLThis guitar is really am amazing value and a performance guitar quality. Very fine for gigging, and only just just short - as you'd expect for the price - for the most demanding studio work.

as big a fan as i am of blink 182, AvA, +44, and box car racer, i cannot say that this guitar is that great. the finish is great, but very easily scratched and chipped so be very careful with the guitar, i mean like REALLY careful. i got a pretty good chip in mine from my guitar cable accidentally swinging into it, with not much force might i add. the action on this guitar is horrible. i got a tune up for mine at a local guitar shop, and they guy literally told me "there's not much we can do....". the action is bad for anyone who likes solos or fast picking, sweeping ect., so if your a versatile guitarist, do not buy this guitar. otherwise, the action is manageable for chords and simple punk riffs. the single dirty fingers pickup makes the distortion on this guitar amazing, its some of the best distortion tone ive heard, very thick and warm. but the clean tone is as well very fat and bassy, with some tweaking you can make it sound alright, but the only way to get good clean tone is with pedals. tuning this guitar is like tuning any other guitar, but you have to do it a lot, and if your a gigging musician, you'll have to worry about this thing going out on stage, which is something a guitarist shouldn't have to worry about with a guitar. also, my volume knob has gone loose, and i have never abused it in any way, and really because its the only knob, i have only touched it like twice, but easily fixable with a tightening of a screw. but im just emphasizing that because this guitar is made over seas, like many others, it isnt exactly put together well. overall, if you want to play anything other than blink or punk, do not buy this guitar. but if your content with playing just blink and punk style music, you will probably be more than happy, although for the money, id go for something better, in case you get sick of punk. decent guitar, but not versatile at all.

Amazing Guitar

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

This guitar sounds amazing... distortin, clean, with or without effects... A lot of people says that this is an exclusive punk rock guitar but I think you can play several genres on this...although poprock is the way to go with this guitar.
I own this guitar and also Tom DeLonge's statocaster. I gotta admit that I love them both, this guitar sounds awesome with distortion, dirty finger pick ups are for that... Although I do like this guitar for cleans too..I prefer my old Fender for that. Up to you.

The only thing was that mine came with a problem with electronics...remember this is a guitar made in china so maybe you'll have to give it a tune up first... chance the strings, check the electronic and pieces... but it's a great guitar. I highly recomend it...

(sorry for my bad english)

A Joy to Play!

By Don Salvatore

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

The satin-finished neck is fast and feels solid without feeling too chunky. It's got insane sustain. The Dirty Fingers pickup delivers the amps! I am able to dial-up to an aggressive Punk tone without having to plug in my pedals, and at mid-volume it's focused enough for soloing. It's a cool looking axe and I have trouble putting it down. The hollow-body sound really comes to life when strumming near the bridge. Fun guitar!
This is probably the most comfortable guitar I've ever played. The satin finish on the neck is super fast and the balance is terrific. I LOVE the volume-only control setup. It lets you go from clean, vintage semi-hollow sounds to crunchy/punchy Punk without having to juggle a bunch of variables. The hardware is all solid and beautiful. It stays in tune for weeks at a time!
I'm more of a covered-pickups kinda guy, so I wish the pickups were a liiiittle less exposed, but everything else on this thing is solid. It's got a comforting heft without being heavy or unbalanced. The hardware is all excellent Epiphone quality.
Man, for this price you get a LOT of guitar! This is my first sem-hollow and it gives me the versatility of that vintage quasi-acoustic sound and the ability to punch back into Punk without having to reach for my Les Paul. It's got class, it's got style, it's got attitude. A solid all-around primary guitar (especially if you can't decide between an or an electric) or a great secondary axe to add some flavor to your act.

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

i used to have the fender tom delonge strat, but i could never really get the sound i wanted from it. i tried a used tom delonge epiphone and i loved the way it sounded, so i sold my fender and bought a new epiphonewhen i first got it, i wasnt sure about the paint job, but the matte finish has grown on me. i would like it if they offered other color options, but oh wellwhen the guitar came from shipping, it was set up perfectly from the start and i didnt have to adjust anything other than changing the strings to ernie balls.at first i thought the guitar sounded a little too washed together, but leaving the volume at 10 will have that effect. i learned to adjust it (i keep the knob at about 5-7) and now i get great tones. with delay and some phaser you can get sounds exactly like AVAthe semi-hollow body adds a nice sound to it as well. it produces a more full tone overall, especially for palm muting. as for the construction, i have no complaints. like i said, it came set up perfectly, the neck feels great, and the tuners are also pretty goodit is a little neck heavy, so if youre not holding it and moving around, it will tip, but youre getting a lighter body (which is very nice), so its really not a big deal once youre used to it. overall, if youre looking for a nice rock guitar, this is a nice option. i never played the gibson version, but this works great for getting that AVA and Blink sound. note: i thought about getting an epiphone dot and putting a dirty fingers at the bridge because i really liked the natural finish, but after playing both guitars its clear this is a better product. the neck is noticeably thinner and feels like its higher quality overall

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I bought a used ES-333 from this site and they ran out of them. So, they sent me a NEW one for the price of the used one! The service from this site and company is amazing. As well as the guitar. I love how different this guitar is and how it stands out. Im new to playing guitar but from previous knowledge with bass, i know what to listen for sound wise. This guitar is amazing and will catch the audience in mid sentence.

Awesome Guitar

By Darkdays441

from Avon Lake, OH

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

i just got my es333 yesterday and i will have to say, its not bad at all. i opened up the case and i will have to say though it does have some flaws. The strings are very stiff and hard to get a good sound right away. dont quote me on this because i might just need to break the strings in and get used to them. but at the moment it has been kinda hard to. another flaw is that it goes out of tune so easy and i'll have to tune it back again. So i will have to customize it and change the tuners so i dont have to worry about it going out of tune while im in the middle of playing. i have heard people complain about how it doesn't have a lot range which is true, but you have to remember that this guitar is made to play Blink 182, AvA, boxcar racer ECT. so if you dont want to play any of these, i dont recommend buying this guitar. on the better side, it has a great rich sound, the semi hollow body makes it so light. with the single volume control just turn it up and your good to go. ANd everybody loves the dirty fingers humbucker it comes with. lastly the finish on the guitar makes it look sick. aside from the small flaws i found, it was worth every penny.

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I have had this guitar for over a year, and it is great! Tom Delonge inspired me to play since 1998. After listening to AVA for a bit I finally decided to purchase the signature guitar. This guitar, when plugged in to my amps gives me the perfect tone for playing newer blink songs and AVA, not to mention Boxcar Racer.Every last bit of tone sounds like the studio recordings tom played! I bought it used and received a new guitar, only reason it was "used" was becasue the plastic plate for the electronis was scuffed from the factory. I reccommend this guitar, for anyone who loves blink and likes to cover blink songs with friends. Down side is not much feed back if you like playing LOUD PUNK, and tunning if you a hard player.

Decent price, great features.

By elxglenn

Comments about Epiphone Tom Delonge Signature ES-333 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I own a Tom DeLonge es-333 that i purchased second hand. This guitar has traditional Gibson Semi Hollow woods, that is, a mahogany neck and a maple body. The quality of the wood, at least on my guitar, is very good. The neck on this guitar is actually easy to play, granted, you won't be able to play 6 string sweep arpeggios like you're playing a jackson, but still. The dirty fingers humbucker is a pretty fierce pickup, yet it isn't extremely hot, so your clean channel with actually sound like a clean channel, whereas other pickups might give you a mild overdrive. The bridge and tailpiece are also of good quality, the tail piece locks onto its posts, which is good. one thing to note is that the nut on mine chipped off a bit, this was my fault however: i was trying to put a heavy gauge string into the low E slot on on the nut, I should have been gentle, instead I was forceful and a piece chipped off. I glued it back however, and now it's fine. upgrades to consider would be: a bone nut (or uprgade nut of your choice) and maybe a locking bridge and tailpiece. I don't have a locking bridge on mine, but might add one in the future. I don't think it needs it. All in all, this is a great guitar for the price, I rated it 4.5 in quality, simply because though this is great, I am sure the Gibson version of this blows this out of the water.
