Having played with Bigsby trems before, the first thing I did was replace the bridge with a Schaller Roller bridge. My Wildkat stays in tune even with alot of tremolo use. I found that to be the norm for Bigsby fitted guitars. Also the spring tension has to be adjusted by someone familiar with Bigsby trems. I have played Gibsons with the same problem.

Changed bridge to a Schaller roller bridge. Installed humbucking pick ups and all new electronics. Tightened loose screws, a bit of fret work and set up. Now I love it. The bones of the guitar are very good. It is a beutifull guitar. (mine is 2011 natural finish). I am considering buying a wine red now. Likely will need the same mods.

Comments about Epiphone Wildkat Hollowbody Electric Guitar with Bigsby:

I wish that level 1,2 and 3 damaged items would have a detailed list of what is damaged. My purchase was in need of the pick up casing to be soldered. I had to open the front of the guitar to find what needed fixing. The guitar otherwise would have a constant clicking noise when played.

Comments about Epiphone Wildkat Hollowbody Electric Guitar with Bigsby:

This guitar was something I was trying out to see if I could get away with not buying a gretsch, unfortunately it just doesn't measure up. It looks the part, is small, comfortable, it should have been a perfect match. But it just isn't, the electronics are so visible through the F holes that it was sad, guy behind me was returning his at GC because it just didn't have the depth and growl of a gretsch. Itd be great to hang on a wall, but that's it, the frets were junk, all at different heights and popping out unevenly. Pickups are weak at best. Dont be cheap, spend the extra cash on a gretsch and youll get the tone youd want out of this, and wont have the excess problems this one had.

Comments about Epiphone Wildkat Hollowbody Electric Guitar with Bigsby:

Beautiful guitar but hated p90 sound. Not my taste. Some love em, I dont. Too dark and hot. Installed GFS fat mini's. Required new ring. That's hard part to find. Found what I needed at tvjones.com. Put on graph tech nut. Now she sounds sweet.

Comments about Epiphone Wildkat Hollowbody Electric Guitar with Bigsby:

Opened box and was immediately blown away by looks. Sweet. Time to try it. Keep in mind back of headstock has sticker that says inspected and set up in USA. Action extremely high. No problem but cant consider this "set up". Next, I went to plug in cable and what the heck, no input jack. Jack was insid guitar. No nut to hold it in place. Not a problem, right? Try fishing jack out of hollow body. I have extra parts but no jack nuts I had would fit it. I could fix no big deal but it's new I need to call MF. I told problem and asked them to send me a jack. They figure it would be best if they rushed me a new guitar and sent first one back?.....??? Probably many $$ in shipping costs instead of sending me jack. OK. If that's what they want to do. We will see what new one brings. Otherwise beautiful guitar. Wine red. Nice flame. Chunky neck. I'll tell about sound when I get one with input jack. Remember set up and inspected in USA.

beautiful guitar. the price was the lowest anywhere. well built quality guitar and for those of you who complain that it's not in tune when it comes out of the box or you have to do a little set-up, then this guitar is not for you. it plays very nice but you have to know how to play for it to make music. great tone. you gotta play around with it till you get it to do what you want it to do. will be a collectable some day!!!

Comments about Epiphone Wildkat Hollowbody Electric Guitar with Bigsby:

This guitar is a great value. Looks amazing. I got one in the natural/chrome finish. Tone is very warm and round, but also versatile too. It can handle searing Smashing Pumpkins songs as well as chill, mellow Radiohead. My biggest complaint is how noisy the P90 pickups are. This is my first experience with P90's, and I don't think the tone is worth the low hum that is always present. It's also very tempermental feedback-wise. Think twice about stomping on your high-gain overdrive pedal, because this thing will shriek like a hellhound, and not in a good way. It's not a serious dealbreaker, but it will make you think about purchasing a noise gate. Still, for such a low price tag, you get a great guitar that will turn heads. I say go for it!
