Having played with Bigsby trems before, the first thing I did was replace the bridge with a Schaller Roller bridge. My Wildkat stays in tune even with alot of tremolo use. I found that to be the norm for Bigsby fitted guitars. Also the spring tension has to be adjusted by someone familiar with Bigsby trems. I have played Gibsons with the same problem.

Changed bridge to a Schaller roller bridge. Installed humbucking pick ups and all new electronics. Tightened loose screws, a bit of fret work and set up. Now I love it. The bones of the guitar are very good. It is a beutifull guitar. (mine is 2011 natural finish). I am considering buying a wine red now. Likely will need the same mods.

beautiful guitar. the price was the lowest anywhere. well built quality guitar and for those of you who complain that it's not in tune when it comes out of the box or you have to do a little set-up, then this guitar is not for you. it plays very nice but you have to know how to play for it to make music. great tone. you gotta play around with it till you get it to do what you want it to do. will be a collectable some day!!!

Comments about Epiphone Wildkat Hollowbody Electric Guitar with Bigsby:

This guitar is a great value. Looks amazing. I got one in the natural/chrome finish. Tone is very warm and round, but also versatile too. It can handle searing Smashing Pumpkins songs as well as chill, mellow Radiohead. My biggest complaint is how noisy the P90 pickups are. This is my first experience with P90's, and I don't think the tone is worth the low hum that is always present. It's also very tempermental feedback-wise. Think twice about stomping on your high-gain overdrive pedal, because this thing will shriek like a hellhound, and not in a good way. It's not a serious dealbreaker, but it will make you think about purchasing a noise gate. Still, for such a low price tag, you get a great guitar that will turn heads. I say go for it!

What a wonderful instrument!! It is of really solid construction. With some minor set-up adjustments this guitar is so playable and really comfortable. Many tone choices thru volume, tone, and pick-up combinations. For the price this kat cannot be beat.

Comments about Epiphone Wildkat Hollowbody Electric Guitar with Bigsby:

Beautiful Guitar. Wish the quality matched the beauty. Master volume control is scratchy, chrome finish is already coming off of the bridge pickup and I've only had the guitar for five days. It does not stay in tune with the Bigsby. I kind of expected that. It should have been equipped with a roller bridge. It was playable out of the box, but I did lower the action to make it more playable. I do like the sound of the P90's but there's way too much feedback. I'm going to change out the bridge to a roller bridge and maybe get some black or cream colored P90 covers. Maybe just let the Chrome covers stay on it and develop a road worn look. It is a cool looking instrument though.

Just got this guitar for christmas. After raising the action a hair, putting some wax in the nut, and putting a set of elixer 11's on it, it plays like a champ. It's so comfortable to play and the semi hollow body is quite resonant and combines well with the p90's. I love this guitar!

Comments about Epiphone Wildkat Hollowbody Electric Guitar with Bigsby:

This guitar is great. I would have given a 5 star rating except for the chrome pick up covers. they look great, but they cause terrible ringing and feedback, plus it's impossible to set the intonation low enough.
Pop those off, lower the bridge, and it's got amazing tone, less ringing/feedback, and the neck is super fast and playable.
