If you buy anything from musicians friend, make sure they actually inspect it before it goes out. Dont fall for the fake discount code that does not work on their site that they have listed on the home page. Call them and demand the discount.
Smooth neck. Emg pick ups are great. Coffin case is cool and tight. The epiphone check list is a joke. The first guitar was sent back due to a crack that was caused by the tremelo system being set to close to the face of the body. Also it had 3 dents in the face of the guitar. For this being prechecked, it was eveident that they will let anything go from musicians friend and epiphone or the have a blind person doing the inspection
After spending an hour with customer support, the first guitar was sent back for a replacement. 3 Weeks later I recieved the second guitar. Epiphone will preach that their guitars are set up during inpsection. Must be the same blind guy that does the set up. Action on the 22nd fret top string was set 1/4 inch higher than the bottom string. Allen wrences and allen heads were not tightend from the factory. They were all easy to find because they were all stuck the the EMG pickups.
Great sound and action is great once you set it up. Sounded good on my marshal stack and was great to play with on Rock Smith.
I will never sell this guitar. But the ods of purchasing another guitar from musicians friend is a concern due to the customer service.
Comments about Epiphone Zakk Wylde Graveyard Disciple Electric Guitar:
I received this guitar as a birthday gift. I liked the look of the Graveyard Disciple from the first time I saw it. It's definitely a "love it or hate it" style guitar, and some folks just won't like the coffin shape. I do. It has the old cigar-box flavor, but a bit more style. I had big expectations for this guitar, and it did not disappoint. The fit, finish and playability were very good. Much better than I would expect at the price! The sound is very deep and rich. The ONLY thing I would change is to put in the active EMG's like Zakk uses. Not that the passive pickups are bad, I just would like it to be the same set up as he uses. All-in-all, awesome job Epiphone!
