Combines two of the most distinctive guitar shapes into one.
With its double-cutaway SG upper body allowing for complete fingerboard access and its radical Flying-V bottom for extreme attitude, the Epiphone Zakk Wylde ZV Custom guitar has an aggressive look like no other. The body is carved from solid mahogany and fitted with a glued-in hard maple neck for a deep, rich tone with added brightness and sustain.
To complement these tone woods and provide the kind of high-output necessary for Zakk's style, the ZV Custom is equipped with a set of EMG-HZ humbuckers including HZ-4 pickup in the bridge position and HZ-4A pickup in the neck position. Controlling the two pickups are a bridge pickup volume, a neck pickup volume, and a master tone with 3-way pickup selector. This combination allows for almost infinite tonal variations. Adding to the sustain of the electric guitar, the ZV Custom uses Epiphone's patent-applied-for LockTone Tune-O-Matic that locks the bridge on the posts and makes string changes a breeze while a string-thru body design ensures ultimate string resonance.
Zakk Wylde has always preferred a natural satin-finish neck, and the Epiphone ZV Custom is no exception. With its SlimTaper neck profile, it's as smooth and as fast as Zakk himself. Both the neck and the Grover equipped three-on-a-side headstock are bound to create a smooth and finished appearance while Les Paul Custom mother-of-pearl inlays adorn the headstock and the 12" radius rosewood fingerboard. Epiphone's StrapLocks are standard equipment making sure that this beast stays on its leash—even under the most extreme stage situations. To add the final touch to this one-of-a-kind axe, a custom-designed, fitted hardshell guitar case with ZV-inspired artwork and metal chain handle round out the package.

the guitar itself is amazing im really glad i bought it i have the zakk wylde spiral one, but i put seymour duncans in to replace the current passive pickups, i was thinking active but then my friend suggested i use seymour duncans pickups... i have the dimebucker and a jazzmodel in the guitar and it sounds amazing

I waited about 3 months to get this guitar because of a big demand there was a big back order. It was worth the wait I can't say one bad thing about it. The whole design looks great and the neck is perfect for solos and rhythm parts. The pickups sounded good but I switched them up for the active EMGS and that made a bigger difference. I have the camouflage bulls eye guitar and i love that guitar also. The price is right for this guitar

For myself I have to say this is the perfectly designed guitar. The weight, balance, and comfort of playing either sitting or standing is the most comfortable guitar I've ever played. I have the bullseye which I really like, but even more so it is a hit with the fans. They will remember that guitar(Maybe not the player;). Another review mentioned the case. It looks awesome, but I wouldn't advise letting the guitar go down into an aircraft hold in that case. If on the road get a more sturdy case for it. Current case will protect scratches but not much more IMHO. The EMG pups grew on me. Very happy with the top EMG, was indecisive about the bridge. I'm a Dimarzio SD guy from way back, but if you put a EVH Frankenstein pup, Dimebucker, etc.(Whatever your taste is) in the ZV, I think you'll have a monster. Only mod I did was reverse wire the volume pots. I like having the bridge pup volume knob on top and easily accessible. I really like it since I did.(Did the same mod with my Hamer) I cannot say enough good about this guitar. I have 9 guitars and this is my favorite. The fans will love the design(As do I), super comfortable to play either out or in the studio. If you buy this guitar, I think you'll love it. I could easily add another.

Being the huge Zakk and BLS fan that I am, I bought this baby as soon as it came out. It's light, extremely comfortable to play and the neck is nice and fast. The stock pickups were good but I replaced the bridge with a Dimebucker that sounds much better. The neck pickup has a great clean sound. The look of the guitar and the finish are to die for! The only real complaint I have is the hard shell case that comes with it. While it does serve it's purpose of protecting the guitar well and looks very cool, it's made of cheap material including the leather covering that is very easily damaged.

Wow this guitar is amazing. It has a beautiful silk neck and it is great with distortion and clean. It's a little pricey but worth it. The case is sweet. Great decals and it protects the guitar. buy it.
