Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci JPXI-6 Electric Guitar:

As the title states, IF I could only have one guitar, hands down, NO pondering. I would put this in the case and never look back. I picked this guitar up a week ago from GC and have NOT been able to put it down. When I'm not playing it, I can't wait until I can play it again. With very few exceptions, I've been an Ibanez guy. No lie, since I bought this guitar, I can't even imagine playing another guitar and have posted my Ibanez collection for auction. The Piezo system is awesome... this is the guitar I have been searching for. I run it into a HD500X into a Marshall Bluesbreaker amp and I'm in tone heaven. Best sound I've ever had and FINALLY (I'm 42) my search is over. I have found a guitar that I have NO complaints about. Perfect neck, perfect tone, perfect weight, not too heavy but not too light. This guitar is a tone machine. It is THE perfect guitar. (I never thought such a creature existed) Thank you Mr. Petrucci

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci JPXI-6 Electric Guitar:

This is a very finely-crafted guitar with excellent build and sound quality.

The ebony fretboard is super-smooth, and it sounds great for both clean or distorted tones. The piezo pickup is a nice addition for added versatility as well.

The sustain is also great, especially considering it has a tremolo bridge which actually stays in tune pretty well for general vibrato and minor dive bombing.

Any adjustments to the neck are simple with the awesomely designed truss rod and bridge saddles. Very little adjusting goes a long way on this guitar.

I also noticed a lot less hand fatigue with the slimmer profile neck, and the 20" radius makes soloing effortless.

If there was any complaint (and this is extremely minor) the guitar is so clean and perfectly polished when it's new that it kept sliding off of my leg when I first started playing it. Over time this has not been and issue, but players may want to use a guitar strap when first pulling it out of the case.

I am 100% satisfied with this guitar and I very highly recommended it to anyone wanting to move up to a superior quality guitar. The versatility of it will pay off for you even if you don't play any music like John Petrucci.

This is worth the price, great sounds and plays like dream. I used it for two totally differet types of gigs this last weekend, raging from Country to Hard Rock sounds and it covered them all.

        Awesome

        By Eric

        from Jersey

Comments about Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci JPXI-6 Electric Guitar:

If the price wasn't so high, it would be a 10. Its def worth around 1800-2000 but not above. I love the wood combo's they use in this guitar with the semi-chambered body. This guitar sings and vibrates beautifully. The piezo system is awesome. The range of tones you can achieve with this guitar are almost endless. The PU's are top notch. Although I think a Dimarzio Evolution would sound better in the bridge IMO. If you have the money and extra 500 to spare, def get it. You won't regret it.
Great pick-ups, great quality, comfortable feel, gorgeuos looks. Only draw back is the heel is kind of thick. But if you don't mind that like me and can work around it like a strat, then you'll love it too.
Its Ernie Ball, special reserve too.
I think its a tad expensive.
