OVERVIEW

Easy on the eyes and the ears.

The ESP E-II ST-1 features an alder body with a quilted maple top, a bolt-on maple neck, 25.5-in. scale and 24 extra-jumbo frets on a maple fingerboard on a thin-U neck. And a trio of Seymour Duncan TB-5 (B) & STK (M) & (N) pickups launch notes down the signal path. A Floyd Rose Original tremolo bridge allows for all the 6-string dive bombs and squeals your brain can conjure while Gotoh tuners keep everything cinched down and in-tune through heavy crunches and string-stretching leads. Includes hardshell case.

Comments about ESP E-II ST-1 Electric Guitar:

Bought the guitar as used in 'good condition' and shipped to South Africa. The neck was somewhat skewed and had to be reset. After that the guitar was capable to set up at a very professional level, with very low action and zero fret buzz.
Amazing variety from the pickups with each position really producing different tones.
Also incredible finish! Love the maple bindings!
Again, really a pro guitar and certainly a real ESP..

Comments about ESP E-II ST-1 Electric Guitar:

I recently bought my 3rd Suhr HSS strat, and a day later, I found an amazing deal on the ESP E-II ST-1, so took a dive and bought it too. I'm very familiar with ESP and LTD Elites, and have been to ESP custom shops in Japan, so I know them well. This is an exceptional guitar. Not only are the aesthetics extremely pleasing, the action, sustain, and intonation are spot on. The Pearly Gates wouldn't necessarily be my first choice for an Alder body bridge pickup, but this particular pickup combination in this guitar works very well. The previous LTD Elite ST-1 model, featured a similar pickup set but with a TB-5 Seymour Duncan Custom. That's a little hotter pickup with a ceramic magnet. I liked that one a lot too, but the Pearly Gates really shines in this guitar. The maple neck is not too thin, and it's very snappy with a nice, warm midrange. The gloss finish on the neck is very well done, so it doesn't feel like one of those over-glossed Fenders or something.

I'm very stuck on stainless steel frets, but these have extra jumbo fretwire which last years and years. I don't think this is the German Silver Jescar fretwire. I'm pretty sure it's Dunlop 6100 which is harder and lasts longer. The tremolo system has great intonation and stays in tune very well. There is nothing to criticize about this guitar. It's extremely well-made. The tone and playability are outstanding. It's not really just a shredder's guitar. It has a nice radius on the neck, and the neck isn't as thin as an Ibanez or something, so it lends itself very well to a lot of blues and rock styles. Clean tones are immaculate.

I recommend taking a chance on this guitar if you're unsure. It will not disappoint you in any way. There is practically nothing you can reasonably criticize about this guitar.
