I bought this 4 years ago to upgrade from the little Behringer Strat i use to have. I love this guitar! The tone does not match that of a vintage fender or a gibson BUT its still a good guitar. I know some people have complained of fret buzz but honestly since getting new strings (D'addario Rock/Jazz stings) and tweaking the bridge a bit, i didn't have any at all. I use mine for all kinds of styles (punk, rock, metal, blues, etc.) Its defiantly one i wont have to mess with at. Good pick ups, great feel. I recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable LTD to purchase. As for fret buzz, take it to someone who knows more about guitars or mess with the bridge a bit. Its easily fixable.

I had saved up some money and was so happy to finally have a guitar I really liked. It played just fine for a couple months and sounded decent before it started having some serious issues. I had noticed a few spots on the neck where it was buzzing. At first it wasnt too bad but steadily progressed so I brought it back to get fixed. The place told me they set it up again, changed the strings and inspected it but found nothing overly wrong. I left with 40$ less in my wallet but was happy to have things fixed, or so I originally thought. The buzzing came back and steadily progressed to the point of being completely unplayable because of the neck having such a bad twist. Also, there is a nasty green looking mineral spot on the neck too right when I got it. I was a novice at the time but have learned to look closer at anything I intend to buy. sadly, the guitar now just sits and collects dust. I highly doubt I will ever buy from ESP again. Since then, I have bought an Ibanez RG Prestige and have been thoroughly happy, too bad I dropped close to $600 on the LTD to learn the lesson the hard way. Maybe I just got a "dud" but a guitar like that should not have left the factory.

Comments about ESP F-100FM Electric Guitar:
My "arsenal" consists primarily of high end and vintage USA made guitars. Gibson, Guild, Fender, etc. I also have some Japanese Ibanez models floating around. I feel that this fact is important, as I'm not just some psyched out 14 year old who just got his first guitar as is the case with many if not most reviews of this guitar. The ESP F100 does NOT have a flamed maple "top" or "cap," it is a veneer. That is the only remotely negative comment I have about this guitar (and it isn't worth mentioning aside from the fact that it is advertised as such). This guitar has very decent fret work, plays great, quality hardware (ESP relabeled Gotoh, perhaps?), nice finish (a couple of minor flaws), and great sounding pickups. This will be the guitar that I lean up against my couch and play daily. It is an incredible bargain at under $300. Most of my guitars get sent to a luthier for a setup, and most require some fret leveling done. Not this one. Most of my guitars get new pickups installed (the stock pups in my Gibson '58 Reissue Les Paul were terrible). not this one. This review is not gratuitous in any way. The ESP F100FM is a fantastic guitar and a great bargain, even for those with discerning tastes and high end gear.

I mostly play mid to upper range guitars but was looking for a decent axe that I could leave tuned down. For the money I paid for this guitar I was impressed. I didn't expect much so it was a pleasant surprise. I replaced the pickups with a set of EMGs and this thing is a solid metal guitar with awesome sustain. I would highly recommend this for the beginner or intermediate player. Or somebody looking for a very nice project to hot rod.
Comments about ESP F-100FM Electric Guitar:
It's simply what it is - awesome, especially for the price. It plays great. The action can be set perfectly, thicker strings work great if you want to tune it low due to the convenience of the string-through body, and it sounds very good, and mine stays in tune pretty well. For the price you can't ask for much more. The pickups are okay, but they get the job done. You could probably switch them out yourself with better pickups and may even need different pots. The only problem I had was the solder on the input jack. It was pretty poorly done. It's made in Korea, bound to be something wrong sometimes. But I fixed that myself no problem for a price less than dirt. It sounds better after the solder fix. I play this quite a bit, more so than my custom ESP, because my custom ESP can't go as low as this thing, and I love low tunings. Pick this LTD, especially if you are low on cash and looking for a sickly guitar.
Comments about ESP F-100FM Electric Guitar:
This guitar is amazing for any experienced guitarist. I've had this guitar for a good 1-2 years and its the only guitar i play today. The pickups could be better but they get the job done. The only issue ive actually had with the guitar had to be with tuning. After a year of playing with the stock strings they began getting out of tung FAST but other than that they are awesome. This guitar does weigh a little and it doesnt have an appropriate case you can buy on this website but im sure one is out there. If your looking for a guitar that you ABSOLUTELY love the second you see it arrive, then this is for you.

This guitar is awesome! It sounds good and looks great, and it's affordable for people who can't afford expensive gear! I was looking for a guitar for a while and was pondering about this specific one, so i decided to order it and i was sold! ESP for Life!
Comments about ESP F-100FM Electric Guitar:
Ok, I've played a few electrics; a Strat, a B.C. Rich Avenge, an Ibanez, etc. and I've got to tell you, this one beats them all. Don't know what it is about it, all I know is that if it gets damaged or just gets too old, I'm gonna be replacing it with another just like it. Good guitar, good price. It stays in tune really well, no slipping at all. The only problem with it is the nut around the imput gets loose every now and then, so I have to tighten it. But still, it's awesome, show me a guitar the same price and equal or better quality and I'll be shocked.

I just got this guitar for my birthday, and it is one of the best I have ever played on. I just have a Crate 20 watt amp, but this guitar still sounds great. It's the perfect guitar if you are in the metal genre. The pickups are decent, get some EMGs and you are set. It also looks like a friggin beast! Well, thats all I have to say. Get this guitar!

Good guitar, seems to be well made. Let a friend play it that really knew guitars and said it plays like a 4 to 5 hundred dollar guitar, I must agree with him.
