Exact Replica

By Sman

from Los Angeles

Comments about ESP George Lynch M-1 Tiger Electric Guitar:

The George Lynch M1 Tiger is a an exact replica of the one used by George except for few minor details. I had the privilege of working/recording with George and actually played the real Tiger many times as we did our sessions. The Real Tiger is a Charvel with an ESP logo painted on the headstock (he is contractually bound to play ESP's hence the logo alteration) and it does at least these day's have a Floyd Rose installed. Another mod that the replica does not have is the "sustainer" bolted to the back of the headstock. It has a cord that can plug into it and a metal box that is about the size of a talk box that sits on the floor. I have only seen George use it in the studio, he has a Fernandes sustainer installed in one of his many ESP's hde owns for live. He claimes the one on the Tiger creates a different tone since it does not vibrate at the pickup but at the neck...As far as the wood, I never asked George what it was made from so I cannot comment on that. I have played both the original and the replica. The play and sound almost Identical...S~(The Lynch That Stole Riffness/Antholgy)

great guitar

Comments about ESP George Lynch M-1 Tiger Electric Guitar:

plays and sounds great for a one p/up guitar. Love it, just wanted to correct mr. scary from ca, in that the paint work is identical to the one he played on breaking the chains but that guitar he used back then was a CHARVEL, made of basswood with a non locking trem.

M-1 Tiger

By Lynch Fan

from Wisconsin

Comments about ESP George Lynch M-1 Tiger Electric Guitar:

First off I will admit for what you pay the features on this guitar are lacking. It's a totally straight forward rock guitar. However, what you do pay for is pure quality and looks. When I first pulled this guitar out of the case I was blown away, beautiful! Then I plugged it in an was further impressed. I threw every trick and lick that I knew at it and I could play everything. You are definitely not limited by this guitar as far as playability is concerned.Value...well, the big thing you pay for is looks and the fact that it's George Lynch's guitar. But it plays so killer that I feel it's worth it!

...Too pricy

By FeebleWeed

from Brownsville, TX

Comments about ESP George Lynch M-1 Tiger Electric Guitar:

This guitar has great sound, feels nice, but it definitely was NOT worth the price.Unless you have thousands to throw away, don't get this guitar. Buy a gibson or something. This guitar is more average than anything. I have many guitars, and of all the guitars I have that are in this price range were worth the price, and this one just isn't up to par. Would have been worth about 400$ max.

Great all around guitar

Comments about ESP George Lynch M-1 Tiger Electric Guitar:

The MI tiger, as with all japanese-made ESPs, is of the finest quality. Some may find it limited because of the single pickup configuration, but face it, if you know what you are doing as a guitarist, this is the lead guitar for you (it is also good for rythm). It has a suprisingly good clean tone. Mine was set up A-1 from the factory and has given me months of enjoyment. I have been playing for over 25 years and have a very wide variety of guitars (15 electrics). This guitar does what it is supposed to do (shreds) and does it well. Perfect neck width and radius for speed, nice bright sound thanks to the maple body/neck configuration. Sounds great on a track. I've read a few complaints about the price and limits. Grow up and play folks. This is a great quality guitar.

Comments about ESP George Lynch M-1 Tiger Electric Guitar:

This is THE guitar that i will be playing for the rest of my days.Remember the first Dokken album where lynch had the ugliest hair on the planet and by far the coolest looking guitar ever seen to mankind. Well...this is THE guitar that he played and to this day still does. the absolutely best tone. feel. and soul you will ever be able to find in a guitar. every body is talking about EVH and other 80`s guitar players. Lynch beats them all....
