The Jeff Hanneman signature guitar is perfect for playing Slayer's heavier-than-heavy style of music. Neck-thru construction and an alder body give it endless sustain. Active EMG pickups with SPC control give it the output to blow walls down. The Kahler trem lets you dive-bomb screaming targets without losing tuning stability. It also has the look--dark and deadly with an ebony fretboard and black hardware, while white eagle inlays and white neck and headstock binding accent its black-on-blackness.
SPC
The SPC or "Strat Presence Control" is often called the fat control. The original intent of the SPC was to turn the tone of a single-coil pickup into a dual-coil. This is accomplished by boosting the gain in a broad mid-band fashion and reducing the highs. The result is a fatter, louder tone from any single coil pickup, but you can also use it on a humbucking to give you a high output, really fat tone that's great for slide guitar.

I own the lower priced model of this (JH-200) with a bolt on neck, EMG LH300 pickups and a Kahler X-trem and it's pretty impressive. With this guitar being the upscale model I'd say if you've got the cash then splurge because it's going to be the greatest metal guitar investment you've made. Slayer hasn't kept going for as long as they have by playing shaddy equipment. You know it's got to be good.

I do not own this guitar but I currently have 2 esp guitars. I like this guitar for 3 main reasons. Ebony fret boards are getting harder to find these days and are much faster then rosewood because of the finer grain. EMG's, and the Kahler 2315. I have only had floyds on my others guitars. I my opinion the Kahlers are much better. I am very happy to see them back in business. As many ppl are aware of if you go up in pitch on a floyd the strings fret out on you last fret if your action is set up to low. Not with the Kahler. Plus the Kahler allows for setting individual string height. Most original floyds are made for 10 inch radius necks. So if you have a 16 inch radius the D and G strings are really jacked up off the fret board. PPL say the floyds have better feel but Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman are the gods of the whammy bar and they both have always used Kahlers.

Ok the first obvious thing about this guitar is that it has a Kahler 2315 tremolo. I've played this guitar and I abused the kahler and it was still in good shape and the strings were still in the right tuning! The action and playabillity are both really good, it has a really low action (preferred for speed and soloing), and another bonus, EMG active pickups! Do yourself a favor, if you want a guitar thats good quality and will last you forever... buy this!

This guitar is probably ALL I could ask for except for a Floyd Rose but the Kahler isn't a HUGE problem, you can still work just about as well with it [the Kahler] just that I have more experience with a Floyd Rose. The pickups are great, the inlays look SICK! This guitar is good for just about blues -to- death metal, with thrash, hard rock, classic rock, punk and more in between.

I am an experienced musician and this is by far one of the best guitars i have EVER played. The fretboard is nice and comfy to play on especially those who like jeff hannemans style. This does not have a Floyd Rose trem, it has a Kahler which i think is alot better than the floyd. It can pull off the same stuff, and it's more robust. The hardware is nice, and it's real tough and sturdy overall. The EMG's are what really makes this thing work. Advice: if you have enough money and are a huge fan of Slayer, this is a MUST. BUY THIS AXE!!! YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT!!!

Both of these ESP JH guitars are great, but the urban camo graphic(blue,grey,white) version of these 2 guitars would draw in Jeff Hanneman and Slayer fans.There are very limited amounts, though.
