OVERVIEW

Get semi-hollow acoustics with EMG aggression.

As lead guitarist for American mathcore band Dillinger Escape Plan, Ben Weinman requires a diverse yet distinctive instrument. So, in turn, ESP has produced for him the BW-1, a semi-hollow electric that's as unique as it is a bargain.

It offers a chambered mahogany body with a flamed maple top, maple neck-thru construction, 25.5" scale and 24 extra-jumbo frets with an ebony fingerboard on a thin-U neck. A pair of EMG 81 (B) & 85 (N) active pickups pushes killer tone down your signal path. An Evertune bridge anchors the strings to the body while LTD locking tuners keep everything cinched down and in tune through heavy crunches and string-stretching leads.

Comments about ESP LTD BW-1 Ben Weinman Electric Guitar:

great guitar for a decent price.

I own a les paul 57 VOS, a jaguar Johnny Marr and a lot of different guitars a long the years and this one is really great and really the evertune is amazing and when it's setup properly stays in tune. I play hard on my guitars and this one is the best for that. Amazing for live and recording purpose. Doesn't sound as classic as a Les Paul but it's close and it's possible to change the pick up.

Comments about ESP LTD BW-1 Ben Weinman Electric Guitar:

This guitar is probably the most versatile guitar I've ever picked up. I'm a fan of Dillinger Escape Plan, but that's not the reason I got this guitar. It was because of the variety of options you have with it. EMG 81 and 85 sound better than expected, and actually sound a bit better with the chrome covers. The EverTune bridge is the highlight of this guitar. So simple to setup and intonate. WILL NEVER GO OUT OF TUNE! The F-hole makes for a more resonate bottom end, which is good for clean or distorted playing. Locking tuners make string changing a breeze. This is a huge value for the price.
