I LOVE THIS GUITAR! I have had it for 2 years now and i could not be happier. I play it through a Line 6 Spider III 75-watt and it sounds killer. Even with the less-than-pro effects of that amp, the versatility of the guitar shines through. The bass is full but not muddy and the high end cuts through without being too harsh. It can go from heavy shredding to mellow blues to twangy country without missing a beat. It doesn't quite have the fullest tone, but it's really pretty good for a solid body. i could not recommend this guitar more

I give it a 6/10 for all the trouble, but a 10/10 for the sound. If your lucky and live near a music store with one in stock, highly recommend getting your hands on one and making sure its okay.
The features are AWESOME on the amber sunburst model. I'm not a fan of EMG's so I went with the one with seymour duncan JB's and trust me, those things sound SO crisp and clear. I love how it sounds.
The quality however, is terrible. First one i got had uneven frets and half the notes would play out of tune no matter how perfectly in tune the guitar was. I sent it back since that shouldn't happen on a brand new guitar and they sent the next one and, well...it was a bass. This wasn't musicians friends fault, it was ESP's. After sending that back and getting my third model, everything was fantastic...except one of the volume pots is busted and you cant turn the knob all the way or else the sound completely cuts out. So I'm gonna have to send this one back as well and hopefully we can get a working one soon. I love the sound, but 3 mistakes in a row shouldn't happen, ever.
Great guitar for it's price, however...like i said i went through 3 faulties so far, possibly more down the road.

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:
I purchased my EC-1000 over 3 years ago, and this guitar is still playing like it was just purchased yesterday. After being dropped, drenched in sweat, and having beer spilled on it numerous times, she still rocks. Love the pickup selection on this guitar; the 81/60 combo is wonderful for metal and still sounds great for other genre's. Plays great.

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:
After taking a break from electric for a few years, I decided to grab one of these and start rocking again. I was torn between this ESP and a Gibson Les Paul. Luckily a buddy of mine had both, so I would get hands on before buying. I wanted to like the Gibson more, and tried to talk myself into it, but in the end the quality and feel of the ESP won me over. The weight of the ESP and the feel of the neck are great. I would still like to get a Gibson, but since I have the ESP I am in no rush. The only complaints about the ESP are that the volume and tone knob were not true, and I had to give them some nudging. Also the neck pickup needed some adjusting. I have a Fender Deluxe "Smokey Tweed" tube amp on order, and I cannot wait to plug this ax in to that!

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:
Beautiful finish. This was the first guitar that was in tune when I unwrapped it. There was a slight buzz @ 5th and 7th frets but that was quickly adjusted out. The abalone inlay is almost decadent, and the sunburst finish over flame maple is sublime. I do wish the pickups had a coil tap like my other two go to guitars. I'll get to that later though. You cannot beat this deal. It would cost you 10,000 for a comparable Les Paul.

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:
I purchased this guitar over 2 years ago and can hands down say that this is the best guitar I have ever owned. I have many guitars and have played just about everything under the sun but for me I need an ax that is versatile and a work horse.
This is my go-to number one guitar. I have used it for live performances and it has never let me know. I also use it to record.
It plays amazing, I love the neck and the fingerboard and what is amazing is that it stays in tune so well! I have gone from standard to dropped tunings all the way down to A to open tunings and this thing keeps in tune no matter what!
The sound is great as well. Very full with great harmonic response. and You can always change the pickups.
I also love how light it is and the strat style contour and thin body make it super comfortable and no tone is sacrificed!
the finish is also very nice and quality!
Bottom line is that this is the best bang for your buck. It beats out gibson les pauls that are more expensive! This is my go to guitar and my workhorse and I would buy 10 more of them!

I owned this guitar in vintage black for 5 years now. Still sounds as good as it did the day I bought it. Great for shredding metal scales. Very fun to play for metal and hard rock. Well worth the investment. This guitar never goes out of tune once the strings are locked in.

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:
Looks great, sounds great, plays great and stays in tune. I own a few guitars including a few Gibsons, but the Amber Sunburst is the guitar I now gig with. Rock, Funk, R&B. I have both EMG and Seymore Duncan pick-up models, and for me the Seymore Duncans give an incredible range of tones. I'm not a metal player and the EMGs don't work for me. Both guitars play exceptionally well and are much lighter with better access to the high frets than my Les Paul. Four pounds may not sound like much, but having it extra on your shoulder for a whole gig makes a difference to me.

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:
well i like the guitar its just the pick-ups, i perfer EMG's in a ESP guitar ...but JB pick-ups are usually for rock and hard rock or light melodic metal not anything thats like metalcore nor post. but overall the feel of EC-1000 ios great i love the binding and the color and the inlays makes me want to keep playing over & Musician's Friend for satisfactory.
