OVERVIEW

An exquisite crunch machine with a choice of finishes and pickups.

Pick up the ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar and you'll believe this lightweight beauty can do it all. It's purposefully built for maximum crunch with its mahogany body, set mahogany 24-3/4"-scale neck, and rosewood fretboard (ebony on vintage black). Abalone flags plus the model name at the 12th fret give it distinction. The TonePros locking bridge and tailpiece keep tuning rock-solid. It features a flamed maple top and a pair of active EMG-81/60 pickups, except the amber sunburst model that sports a Seymour Duncan JB/59 passive pickup setup. See-thru colors all have quilted maple tops.

I LOVE THIS GUITAR! I have had it for 2 years now and i could not be happier. I play it through a Line 6 Spider III 75-watt and it sounds killer. Even with the less-than-pro effects of that amp, the versatility of the guitar shines through. The bass is full but not muddy and the high end cuts through without being too harsh. It can go from heavy shredding to mellow blues to twangy country without missing a beat. It doesn't quite have the fullest tone, but it's really pretty good for a solid body. i could not recommend this guitar more

I give it a 6/10 for all the trouble, but a 10/10 for the sound. If your lucky and live near a music store with one in stock, highly recommend getting your hands on one and making sure its okay.
The features are AWESOME on the amber sunburst model. I'm not a fan of EMG's so I went with the one with seymour duncan JB's and trust me, those things sound SO crisp and clear. I love how it sounds.
The quality however, is terrible. First one i got had uneven frets and half the notes would play out of tune no matter how perfectly in tune the guitar was. I sent it back since that shouldn't happen on a brand new guitar and they sent the next one and, well...it was a bass. This wasn't musicians friends fault, it was ESP's. After sending that back and getting my third model, everything was fantastic...except one of the volume pots is busted and you cant turn the knob all the way or else the sound completely cuts out. So I'm gonna have to send this one back as well and hopefully we can get a working one soon. I love the sound, but 3 mistakes in a row shouldn't happen, ever.
Great guitar for it's price, however...like i said i went through 3 faulties so far, possibly more down the road.

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:

I really love this guitar! Made for metal but great for other genres as well which is what a look for in a guitar. I love the EMG 81/60 combo which gives the guitar a very full sound and I love the ebony fretboard. I just wish the guitar was a bit easier to play sitting down since the bottom cutaway is a bit too small to rest on your leg. Overall amazing guitar.

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:

I picked this guitar up and a Guitar Center brand new for 800 not to long ago and I'd say that it is the best guitar that I have played or purchased. It was love at first sight because the guitar was on the wall with a broken string, so I didn't play it.. I just took it off the wall, bought it, took it home and started playing! The minute I plugged it in and started jamming out I fell in love with it, it plays great, it has a very fast neck, the EMG pickups really give the guitar a great tone.. Overall, if you are thinking about buying one, DO IT!! You won't be sorry.

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:

I was lucky enough to pick one up at a pawn shop for a steal. Vintage black. After a set of strings and a 9v battery, it was like new. Plays great. Action is perfect. Tuning is great. Mine came with gold Sperzel tuners. It's a definite for metal/hard rock players. Only con is a TINY bit of fret buzz, but nothing distracting or annoying. Basically, if you don't have one, get one.

Love the way it feels. The neck is a little bigger than my schecter research hellrasier solo 2. Smaller than my gibson supreme! Heavy but not like my gibson! I can't say anything bad except you might want a setup or a least new strings!

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:

These EC 1000's are legit. I have the amber sunburst with the Seymour Duncans. The neck on these guitars are sweet and easy to play. I use to have the vintage black but sold it before moving and had to buy another. I loved the vintage black with the EMG's too. I just ordered the MH 350 NT so I would have an LTD with EMG's. Basically I am obsessed with ESP LTD's and will eventually buy at least one of every model. Although these are known for metal, which they ARE perfect for, I use it for all kinds of styles. But mostly to shred. :)

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:

2012 Gibson Les Paul Studio Alpine White w/gold hardware = Muddy Sound, sticky nitro finish, very poor tuning stability, mine had bad setup, overpriced, Alternative wood products used among other issues.

LTD EC1000 Vintage Black = None of the above plus Tone pros bridge and tail also has locking tuners.

When I play my EC1000, a Gibson Les Paul was my dream guitar. Perhaps a standard or custom is better, I pray they are, but for you that are looking at both of these, go with the EC1000 please!!! I believe the price tags on these two guitars should be switched. 20 years experience here and very picky on quality!
