Quilted maple top, abalone inlays and EMG pickups give you beauty with sight and sound.
The ESP LTD H-1001 electric guitar features a set-thru 3-piece maple neck, mahogany body with gorgeous quilted maple top, and a rosewood fretboard. The thin U-shaped neck with 24 extra jumbo frets provides comfort and speed. An EMG 81 pickup at the bridge and an 85 at the neck provide plenty of power and note definition. Grover tuners and a string-thru-body bridge keep you tuned and intonated, so you'll sound your best. Volume, tone and a 3-way toggle give you options with simplicity. Black hardware, offset abalone block inlays and white with abalone purfling finish off a great look.
Set-thru neck construction is an innovative technique in which the neck is glued to the body (like a set neck), however the traditional bulky heel is carved away (similar to neck-thru-body construction). This makes access to the LTD Deluxe H-1001's upper frets and the neck-to-body transition much smoother. Just as on a set neck, you will get a combination of tone from both the neck and body with the set-thru construction. The sound will depend on the types of wood used, but generally will have a fuller, warmer tone when compared to most neck-thru-body guitars.

I bought this guitar as an upgrade from an epiphone LP standard. i started out wanting a well rounded guitar, because of genre varieties and i got the LP. After 4 years on the LP i've become quite the metal enthusiest and wanted an upgrade that would be well worth the money, so i found this axe in my local music store surrounded by esp standards. I've played both esp standards and ltd's and i can tell you that the only difference between a high-end ltd and an esp standard is the name on the headstock and cosmetics to make playability more comfortable. the tone on both are exactly the same. i definitely got my money's worth out of this guitar. its a steal for the price
This is an amazing guitar for any style of rock especialy. I love the pickups. The binding is beautiful and the fretboard is extremly fast and comfortable. The earvana nut combined with the locking tuners and locking bridge means this guitar is always in tune. I have never experienced a guitar that stays in tune the way this one does and I have owned and played hundreds of quality guitars. If you are looking for an all around great guitar look no futher.
I played this... and I own an LTD H-1000, the differnece in features was immediate to me, for one you dont have the sperzl lock tuners or the tone pros tunning bridge. On top of that the headstock is stubby and dumb looking,.. it sounds nice, but in the end it just doesnt have that amazing feel I get when I play my h-1000, for the price I'd go out and try to find a used H-1000 the value is just better.
