Comments about ESP LTD EC-1000T/CTM Traditional Custom Electric Guitar:
If you are looking for an LP style axe and want to save some serious money, this is the axe for you. I have never been a fan of ESP because of the "metal" stigma it carries, but when I found this EC-1000T ctm Faded Cherry Burst and realized it comes with these amazing Duncan pick-ups I could not resist. I did much research viewing videos of this particular axe to hear the sound and was sold. However, once I received it and plugged it in, videos do not do it justice...I can not post any cons on this axe, everything exceeded my expectations...Solid body, great frets, amazing action, perfect neck and sounds thick and fat. From what I read ESP no longer makes this particular axe with these Duncan Alnicos pickups or color, it only comes in Black or Snow White with EMGs....so if you are thinking bout it, do not think too much...

Comments about ESP LTD EC-1000T/CTM Traditional Custom Electric Guitar:
I recently bought this guitar in Snow White because I was looking for a guitar with a fixed bridge and in a traditional shape.
I LOVE it! It is a gorgeous guitar, especially after I changed the black EMG's out with Gold covered ones to match the hardware.
This is easily one of my best sounding guitars (of 3 others in the 4 digit price range).
My only complaints are the hardware. The bridge saddle slots don't seem to have deep enough grooves. Also, the gold finish is already starting to wear off on the saddles(not even a week of playing yet) Additionally there is an allen screw that holds the stop bar on (when you take the strings off) that seems to work itself out all the time with string vibration.
I'll add that none of these things would have changed my mind on whether or not to purchase the guitar. These are all minor problems, I would highly recommend it! I'd say 4.5 of 5 Stars

Comments about ESP LTD EC-1000T/CTM Traditional Custom Electric Guitar:
I bought the faded cherry sunburst version when it was the stupid deal of the day and couldn't be happier. This thing is a breeze to play, looks beautiful and sounds beautiful through my Marshall stack. Setup was fine, although I did replace the strings. This is the third ESP guitar I have purchased, and I realy like them all. I own several guitars, Gibson's, Fender's, Epiphone's and ESP's and this guitar is as good or better than a Gibson in my opinion. Well worth the money!

Amazing Guitar! The only thing I had to change was the strings. And that's only because I prefer heavier gauge strings. Absolutely amazing quality for the price. You will enjoy this Guaranteed!!

Comments about ESP LTD EC-1000T/CTM Traditional Custom Electric Guitar:
I own gibson custom les Paul the is better or equal for a third the price and equal to my edwards les Paul I bought from Japan which is made in Japan by esp. I still love Gibsons but will only buy special models now to collect, most of my purchases moving forward will be more edwards and esps.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-1000T/CTM Traditional Custom Electric Guitar:
Where do I start? Ebony neck? Check! Double bound body? Check! Bound neck? Check! Monster tone? Check! Outright sexy? Check!! I bought the white one, and man is it beautiful! The EMGs roar! Weight is not too heavy not too light! This plays like a dream. Craftsmanship is near perfect! I get so many compliments on this beauty! And I didn't have to pay $2000 to get all this. I've played AMERICAN made guitars that didn't have this quality! Hats off ESP! I'll be buying another soon!

Comments about ESP LTD EC-1000T/CTM Traditional Custom Electric Guitar:
I love this guitar, and if you're in the market for a Les Paul studio or Epiphone Les Paul, you'll love this too. Unlike other EC models, the Traditional one has full LP thickness and no back contouring or beveling, making it the heaviest of the EC lineup. Duncan Alnico II Pro pickups in bridge and neck very versatile. The LTD locking tuners are very nice. The finish is gorgeous and looks top dollar. The only complaint I can see by some is 22 frets vs 24, but I don't mind at all. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Comments about ESP LTD EC-1000T/CTM Traditional Custom Electric Guitar:
right off the stores rack you got an almost perfect guitar, ready to tour on any stage or in any club with the thicker body it'll handle low tunings like standard C or possibly B much better, this is more for the metal or blues player than the classic rock player. You'll either love or hate the thin neck , although they skimped on certain parts compared to say the EC-500 having 24 frets and an earvana compensated nut or the EC-1000 with real grover tuners and many variations in color and finish this is still one "heck" of a guitar. But I'm not a fan of 24.75 scale necks and 22 frets are limited those are the only down sides this has room to upgrade though to an extent so very much worth the asking price in fact this will go toe to toe with pretty much anything in the price territory.
so if you don't know yet this is the closest LTD has got to a gibson les paul custom on the market hence the CTM in the title, say it fast... custom! so compared to the regular 1000 this needed to come out it has a slightly thicker body so this isn't just for the blues or hard rock player who wants a nice gibson les paulcustom for a realistic price no this is also for metal players. Features are great but can be better, I'll start top to bottom, we got locking tuners this time around , we got extra jumbo frets for extended life, we got EMG 81/60s just like James Hetfield and so many others choose instead of the unoriginal 81/85 combination and this time around like I said before the body is thicker. Its still the same scale lenght , but the frets are 22 instead , the woods are the same except for the very lovely ebony fretboard , so I wasn't joking when I said it was close to a custom without paying Made in America prices, LTD will give a huge run for their money as the whole made in america isn't endgame for the perfect guitar MANY of you guys will find out if you have played as many guitars as I have. But an 8 because it needs a coiltap and or an EMG afterburner preamp for options to be in direct competition with the les paul standard from 2012. I'm very glad they fixed the thin body issue on this guitar because it made low tunings sound like crap and the thin neck you'll either love as they did it in the 60s or hate, personally I hated it but those with small hands will love it. This can be the ultimate beginner guitar just remember to switch the batteries in those EMGs every 6 months to a year depending on how serious you are as a player.
I've owned many LTD's this isn't my first guitar, these guitars are built like tanks the mirage, horizon, eclipse, viper and explorer series I've owned from various series and they are probably the most difficult to ding or scratch. The electronics never fail and the only issues I ever have with most but granted half are used is when the strings are insanely low they CAN but not always buzz depending on how well the guitar was taken care of as its not always the factotires issue. A bit of lemon oil will go a long way on the fretboard adding years onto your guitar. But never had any issues other than that even the ones I've taken apart or anything and they all sound great
you're not payinga lot for a set neck all mahogany guitar need I say more? thats your 10 right there, this has an ebony fretboard most gibsons won't offer and PRS doesn't touch. You got EMG pickups right off the bat so no upgrading even though they're not X or coiltapped series are much better but still great for the average player. although the tuners aren't real grover locking tuners like the regular 1000 or an earvana or tusq nut but this just goes to show you don't need to spend an insanely high amount of money to get an amazing tour ready guitar. If you have played for under 3 years don't get an ESP get this instead , the whole made in america is just sales pitch to get more of your money too , many will agree on and off here that some imports like LTD are as good if not better.
Comments about ESP LTD EC-1000T/CTM Traditional Custom Electric Guitar:
Overall if you are looking for a les paul but can't come up with the cash consider this guitar. It's a modern version of a time tested guitar. Build quality is superb, tones are great from heavy to light. I've never had any issues with any ESP I've owned in the past. I've had an H, another EC, still have an ESP V and I have been beating on my 401vf for a while playing shows and it hasn't failed me in 2 years. This is an upgraded version that I expect will hold up just as well. Get one.
I have the Faded with the Alnico ll pickups. Awesome tone for many styles. I run thru a Madison Divinity 2 head and marshall 4x12 cab. Metal, hard rock, ska, alternative. Covers it all. Sweet cleans and with distortion you can hear every note no matter how much gain you kick in. Locking tuners are nice for quick string changes too. Nice big frets are nice too. But what I really like is the full thickness of the body. Most of the ec's have the cut out in the back that lightens them up alot. But the Traditional has that nice heavy solid feel that I like. It sustains forever.
Quality is awesome. Ready straight out of the box. No it's not made in the USA. But who cares. I own a 401vf as well. And you just can't go wrong with these things. No issues whatsoever with frets, nut, tuners, nothing. Rock solid. And finish is sweet.
Value wise it can't be beat.
