I bought the this guitar over 4 years ago and its still my favorite guitar over an ibanez. My only complaint is that the treble pickup is a tad overwound. But that is a minor issue as all you do is roll off on volume a bit and your good. I highly reccomend to any beginner guitar players. Even seasond players looking for a cheap axe that can churn out some hard rock and metal and still retain classic rock grit and mediocre cleans, this is a great choice.

I used to own one of these. "Used to" is the key phrase here. Once I bought a guitar made of a decent wood (swamp ash / mahogany), I realized how horrible agathis sounds. For the price, the workmanship is excellent, and the hardware gave me no problems. However, the pickups and electronics in general are horrible. You can put an Earvana nut on it, strap locks, new pickups (the Hot Rodded Combo works good in this guitar), new pots, a new input jack, and upgrade the bridge, but by then you've spent too much on an unworthy guitar, and your resale value for what you've spent is not going to improve. Take this as a life lesson: buy something with decent wood if you plan on upgrading. Otherwise, money spent on a good but used guitar, or on any guitar that's not agathis, would be money better spent. ESP's workmanship and quality are good, but the wood is the worst player on what is a losing team. Get something else.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:
One of my cheapest ($) guitars but is the one I use all the time. The factory Pickups sound ok clean, but muddy with overdrive or distortion. I change them for a pair of seymour duncan seth lover SH-55 and it sounds grate. No problem with the hardware but might change the tuners and the saddles. Over all a grate guitar for the price and with the right pickups it can stand next to any other.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:
I have multiple guitars including a gold top les paul and a RR series jackson and i would rather play this esp ec100qm than both of those. the neck feels great and the pickups sound find to me, much better than the emg camo set in my les paul. Very good buy, i havent had any problems with the tuning, bridge, pickups, or anything, this guitar has worked perfect for me. i did have to adjust the truss rod a little but that is it.
Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:
The EC-100QM was the first electric I ever bought, and to this day I have not found a guitar that feels more comfortable to me than this one. The pickups have a really beautiful tone if you use them through good amps and stuff like that, and the neck has the most amazing feel ever. If you're looking for a guitar to start playing metal, this is definitely a great way to go!
Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:
I bought this guitar about 2 years ago and it still plays like its brand new for what its been through. It has a great sound and has fast neck action it feels all around comfortable to hold. My only problem with the guitar is the bridge falls a lot and is hard to keep in one position but other wise i can't complain and love playing it.
Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:
I got this guitar as a gift and the pick ups are trash, the first string after the fifth fret is hit or miss, more miss than hit. I put it back in the box and put it in the closet, I wish I had the receipt to return it. I would not recomend it, go to the next one or save and get the EC1000.
Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:
I bought this as a x-mas present for my friends and of course I had to play it before I gave it to him. Beautiful guitar but... OMG the pickups are possibly the worse I've ever heard(even through a Soldano and Mesa boogie tube half stack!). The neck is really soft/flexible(not good). The tuners are absolute junk(doesn't stay in tune). The volume and tone pots(knobs) started crackling after the second day and the 3-way toggle switch is trash. I am a big Esp/Ltd fan and I would rather have a cheapy Squier or Epiphone than this guitar. I own a couple of Esp/Ltd's and my recommendation is that if you really want a decent Ltd don't go any lower than the '200' series. The '400' series are the best in my opinion. the '400' series has great woods, pickups, tuners, and electronics.
Comments about ESP LTD EC-100QM Electric Guitar:
My first rig was a Kramer Strat copy(which was complete garbage). This was my second guitar, and it changed my whole persective on playing. First off the action is low and the frets emit no buzzing. The Duncan designed pickups are high output and they seem to find every single ounce of sound out of the strings and your playing. Hook this up to a metal master effects pedal and the feedback from your amp comes in like a tidal wave. Now..with that said, the clean settings on the guitar are just Ok, and playing anything else but Hard Rock and Metal on this guitar, doesnt work at all. But for the price, you can afford to buy other sound specific guitars. I bought mine almost 7 years ago and it still inspires me today to rock!
