Comments about ESP LTD EC-256 Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar because I thought it was beautiful. I had no idea how much fun it would be to play. I own a Gibson les paul, a fender strat, fender tele and such as well. But I love to play this thing. It looks great. The finish on it was high quality. The fret work was great as well. The pickups sounded great in humbucking mode. I was prepared for them to sound awful split, but they sounded great. My les paul is split as well, but doesn't sound as good split as this one does. I can use this guitar and get a usable strat sound and tele sound as well as a good Les Paul sound. I highly recommend this guitar to any one. You won't be disappointed.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-256 Electric Guitar:

Second one I bought first one came damaged they replaced it fast .. pickups are junk tone gone not warm at all my advice is to replace the junk pickups with Duncans or something with bite and tone . Second the intonation is off by miles needs to be set the action was ok but I lowered it it's much better now ..
The body is nice looks like a expensive guitar feels like it too awesome deal tuners are nice too the coil tap is useless with the junk pickups I'm sure once I add new ones it will be sweet .. right now it has little bite and sounds cheap no tone no warmth ok

Comments about ESP LTD EC-256 Electric Guitar:

Couldn't afford a real LP but there lower models are utter trash. So after playing some other brands that make an LP I went with the LTD 256. Love the color. Its on the heavy side but I like that. Gonna want to change the tuners and pickups. I did and now this thing SCREAMS. The frets will need a little sanding down. It will buzz if you put anything lighter than 10s on it. Sanding then down a little did the trick. But for 300, then like 200 for customizing, it will be a better guitar than any LP at the 1000 range

Awesome Ax.. and a lot cheaper then a 200.00 guitar
Sounded Sweet felt nice played great out of the box but I would lower the action a bit.
Other then it being sent damaged with a crack in the finish on the back its a really nice guitar ..
If you can't afford a 2000.00 Guitar this is the next best thing .. it's a Les Paul Copy ok .. Simple as that .. the good thing is they aren't Gibson pickups lol..

Comments about ESP LTD EC-256 Electric Guitar:

This ESP has the fit and feel of a much more expensive instrument. The finish is striking, the hardware is excellent quality and it plays wonderfully. I have owned many guitars over the years but this is my first ESP. It was such an awesome sale price right before Christmas I thought I would buy one and check it out.
I am happy I did! I am truly amazed at the quality for the price. It looks, feels and plays like guitars in a much higher price range. I have paid much more and gotten less in the past. Truly a great value. This guitar is much heavier than I expected which is a good thing. It has a nice tone and plays easy.
The only thing I have done is lower the action a bit and raise the pickups. The intonation was spot on even after lowering the bridge so that was awesome.

Small adjustments to this guitar help it quite a bit, intonation, pickup balancing, and bumping up to 0.010 strings improve it greatly. Very comfortable to play, good neck width, very good value!

Comments about ESP LTD EC-256 Electric Guitar:

I recently picked up this guitar from the used wall at my local Guitar Center. I now own the LTD EC-256 MGO (which stands for Goldtop.) The color is the only feature of my guitar that is different from the guitar seen on this website. When I first picked up the guitar, I noticed that the tone knob and push/pull pot on my guitar were ineffective. No big deal for me, as it's a pretty simple fix. And GC was nice enough to knock off 10% of the price because of it! The fact that the tone knob didn't work indicated that the wiring maybe isn't the best, but the guitar is pretty dinged up, so I don't know what it may have been through in the past. I love this guitar. being the versatile instrument that it is, I play this thing in a hardcore band (think Code Orange Kids, Full of Hell, etc.) and I also play it in an indie pop band. In my own spare time, I like playing experimental jazz. It delivers great clean tones as well as gnarly heavy ones. Plays very very well. Intonation is spot on. There is very minor fret buzz on the third fret of the low E string, but one cannot hear it through an amplifier, so it's really no issue. This thing is built like a tank. At shows, specifically hardcore shows, things tend to get thrown around some. This guitar holds up great! The ONLY things that I'm not a huge fan of are the pickups. They're just a tad bit lacking in the tone department, but like I said, they still sound pretty decent. For this price range, the guitar as a whole is definitely a steal. I may be replacing pickups soon, but that is the only thing I desire to change.
