Comments about ESP LTD EC-330 Flame Maple Top Electric Guitar:

I've owned and played Gibson's, Fender's, and Ibanez. This is my second ESP LTD. I am a permanent ESP fan. The craftsmanship is top notch. ESP makes every guitar with top quality finishes. The black cherry burst finish is awesome in person. Pictures don't do it justice. I may change the pickups to EMG 81/85. So far the pickups sound as good as my EMG h4's.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-330 Flame Maple Top Electric Guitar:

This is a GREAT guitar for the price. Let's face it, it's just a little more than a cheap pawn shop guitar, and this thing can stand up to a standard Les Paul. There's no binding on the body, but the neck and headstock are beautiful, as is the finishes on these. My only two complaints are that it doesn't come with a case and the flaming in the maple top is a little dull. Otherwise, it sounds great, plays great, and is a great value for what I bought it for. Great for METAL \m/, and through an old 90's amp I can get the clean arpeggio sound from classic grunge artists. Overall, I'm satisfied with this buy and would recommend. ESP is a great brand.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-330 Flame Maple Top Electric Guitar:

Out of the box, my purple EC-330 was basically ready to play. The feel is nice as is the low action. The finish is beautiful, although I would prefer an unfinished neck for easier sliding. That's just a personal choice. I have never owned a guitar with active pick ups. Although, I have to say that I really like the sustain they seem to have. So far, my only issue is that I had to tighten the nuts on the tuning pegs due to some minor buzzing in the head. Other than that, I really enjoy this guitar.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-330 Flame Maple Top Electric Guitar:

Good overall guitar. The finish is awesome. Appointments are of high quality. Setup is spot on. I wish it had coil taps and duncan pickups, but for the money I cant complain. The active pickups may grow on me.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-330 Flame Maple Top Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar (In Black) without even trying it out first. That is because I've never played an LTD that I didn't like(cheap or expensive). I must say that I am extremely happy about my purchase. It is exactly what I was looking for. Although it is a cheaper model LTD, it does not look or feel like a cheaper guitar what so ever. It is built extremely well, the finish is very nice, and even the hardware is good and strong too. The stock pickups sound great in my opinion. I can get all of the gain and tones I need to out of these pickups. If they are not for you, they can always be replaced with something else such as EMGs or whatever you prefer. I play mostly metal so I am always looking for guitars with good action and this one has it. The only work I had to do on this guitar out of the box was lower the bridge a little but that was it. So if you're on a budget but still want a nice guitar I highly recommend the EC-330.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-330 Flame Maple Top Electric Guitar:

I got the Blue Burst guitar a couple of months ago and I love the look and feel of this guitar, I did not like the strings that came on it, but once I changed them to a set of EB 11's, it made a big difference in the sound. The only thing I would change and still may is the pickups, for active pickups they are not quite as high gain as I expected, I have a passive SD Invader in one of my other guitars that have a higher gain output. I am not saying that the sound is horrible, it is far from it, I just like a little more output. Other than that I love the guitar, the neck plays very smooth, and feels good to hold. I would recommend getting one if you are considering it.
