Comments about ESP LTD EC-331FR Electric Guitar with Floyd Rose:

It is my privilege to be the first to write a review anywhere I could find about this guitar. I am the proud owner of two other LTD's, and this one makes me a proud owner of 3. I gave it 4 stars because the pickups, though active, don't have that great of output. Perhaps the battery is weak? It's new...I'm going to put some 10's on it because it would fill out the bass a little more. It plays very easily. Bends are a piece of cake. The sound JUMPS off the top of the guitar. I was a little hesitant about having a 24fret guitar with a 24.75 scale, typically they're 25.5. This gives the strings a little more slack and makes it buttery to play. Another reason for 10's...you can get away with heavier gauges and not kill your fingertips :) I really want two more and put them in Standard and Drop C. This one is in Drop D but can actually tune up to standard (thanks whoever set this up!) A solid buy, a couple of minor minor finish flaws, but you'd have that on the showroom floor of your local establishment. Hope this review helps push someone over the edge on buying this guitar. The snow white is what I purchased. Actually has a soft cream binding all around the top and down the neck and around the headstock. Has a volute too. First fret marker on the side of the neck....little touches that add up in my book!
