Dark seductive looks for dark drop-tuning.

The EC-407 7-string with 25-1/2" scale has the classic single-cutaway maple top with a traditional mahogany body shape dressed up with top and back binding. The set maple neck has a rosewood fingerboard with 24 extra jumbo frets, and Thin U Neck contour. Active EMG-81-7 and 707 humbuckers give you plenty of power and low note definition. Black satin hardware and Grover tuners are pro refinements.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-407FM Flame Maple Electric Guitar:

Had this delivered a month ago and used it for a gig just a couple nights later. It feels much like the neck of the Gibson Les Paul Studio, but the fingerboard plays like the 7-string Ibanez models I have used. Quite a comfortable scale for soloing, especially if the Gibson Les Paul feels a little tight on the high end of the neck.

I was skeptical of the active pickups because I have been using passive electronics for 20 years, but I was pleasantly surprised at how responsive they were to picking styles and knob changes on the guitar itself.

Within the top 5 guitars I have ever played.
