I'm a Versitle Player! From Zakk Wylde and Dimebag, to 70's KISS. I'm known more for my fast metal riff's and screaming Pinched Harmonics- This Ax Deliver's the sustain needed for those styles- and with the push pull coil tap- allow's me to also do that soft rythm for clean riff's- Overall It's a Beautiful Guitar, This is my first Floyd Rose, and I'm not impressed! It's more trouble than I thought! This guitar is really hard to get in tune! But once it's there it's locked! The speed of the neck is sweet, and the weight of the guitar is a bit heavier than I had thought it'd be! Overall I'm not 100% satisfied, but it's a sweet ax! If your lookin for something affordable, & tuff! This is overall an okay buy! Over all 4 out of 5 because I feel they could have done better on the over all quality! I'd prefer the Floyd Rose to be set up better! But I received it with no scratches or dents and I love the body and color! I feel I should maybe return it, but for the price, and the wait I had to withstand, I'm keepin it because it looks wicked for onstage presence, and it does get the job done! *Hint! Not For Recording! This ax just doesn't stay in tune good enough!

at 53 I've owned alot of guitars over the years and the esp f-2e not only looks awsome but out of the box this ( after tuning it up ) play's awsome, before I even plugged it into one of my amps I was getting volume, sustain and supurb tone!I plugged into my line6 spider3 valve, and I can honestly say (well for me anyway) I have no reason to change out the pickup's . this is one guitar for the price you can't go wrong with.do yourself a favor, buy it!!!.

Best all around guitar!!!!!!

Ive had this guitar for about a month now, and couldn't be happier. Everything on it is amazing, the floyd-Rose floating bridge with a locking nut, ESP pickups (hottest pickups Ive ever played), and single-coil switch, make it the best all around guitar. (not to mention the beautiful cosmetics). The action on the neck is super fast, and it stays in tune even after dive-bombing all day long. All I can say is, get this guitar if you can afford it...the most beautiful guitar ever..

i bought this guitar about a week ago at my local music store, and hands down, the best guitar ive ever played. sutain, tone, versatility, playability its got it all.it can get crunchy metal rhythm to fender cleans. w/ the coil tap on in the middle position with a bit of overdrive you can get a great SRV tone. ebony is a bright sounding wood, like alder tonally for those wondering. by the way, 5=good, 1=bad.

This is an awesome guitar if you are into varied styles and like to play fast. I knew I was going to get this guitar as soon as I laid eyes on it, but the pictures really do not do it justice. The pickups are great, of course, for actives. The coil tapping is nice, stays in tune, I really can't think of any downsides to this guitar. I still have the factory strings on it but I am about to change them, I have to say that right out of the box this thing is pretty amazing. Must have if this is in your price range!

Beautiful Guitar!

I'm always a sucker for a guitar with a natural finish. This one is georgeous! All the laminate work is very nice. The pickups are a bit lifeless & will be replaced with Duncan Blackouts. Overall the workmanship on this guitar is pretty decent, straight neck, nice tone, good playabilty, etc. The only flaws I found were a small chip in one spot on the clearcoat on the body, and some sagging finish on the edge of the fretboard. There are also a few spots on the edge's of the fretboard that were a bit rough as well.

This guitar is awesome and built like a tank. This is heavy and had great sustain. I wish the pick ups had a little more output. Seem weaker then I expected, or its just mine.

Great axe for the advanced musician

By MarcoStick

from Oakland/SF Bay Area

Simply a BEAUTIFUL GUITAR!!! One of the most asthetically pleasing guitars I have ever seen or played. The solid feel and weight are like a security blanket for sustainers. The sound from this instrument is astounding. I saw mine at the local pro audio shop and fell in LOVE at first strum, well I fell in love when I picked it up. I bought it without even hooking it up to an amp, you see I have faith in ESP this is my 2nd LTD and Im even more impressed with this one. I was blown away by the sound when I got it home. As for the hardware, well for the first time Floyd Rose owners, you have to get the entire tremolo system set up right and it will stay in tune. This mainly involves getting the spring tension perfectly balanced with the string tension. Once you get it set correctly, use the SAME strings every time! SAME MANUFACTURER, same gauges. The price is extremely reasonable, this is a quality guitar in every respect. I would recommend this model to anyone who wants a high quality guitar with a very high quality feel.

esp f-2e guitar

By shorty-ka1Ud

this guitar is awsome. the things i like about it is that is is neck-thruogh construction, it has emg pickups, its natural gloss makes it lokk outstanding, it has doted inlays, 24 frets with a thin u shapes neck, and the fact that it has a temolo just puts the cherry on top. this is my dream guitar!!

GREAT AXE! SWITCH PICKUPS THO!

By vagrant idol

from im a vagrant

To start off, I'd like to say this axe is beautiful in person. The edges are a lil more red than the pics hint, and the top is very dark. It is solid and hefty but plays well sitting or standing. I dig the classic look with the sharp edges. Only bad thing is the stock pick ups are weak..I'd recommend some duncan PA-TB's or distortions.

Great guitar, couple problems though

By James Mitchell

I got this guitar a couple weeks ago, and Its great. I love the coil tap. The guitar has a great sound and its very versatile. This was my first guitar with a floyd rose so I wanted to make sure it was adjusted correctly. So I took it to a guitar tech and he found the tension screws were bent so when he adjusted the screws they wabled . So I replaced the screws and and the claw was protruding from the cavity. So what I figured out was that the factory workers drilled the holes wrong and set the springs, the claw set too high so they hammered it down to get it to fit in the cavity. Also, The ebony fretboard has small cracks in it. I love this guitar, Im not having second thoughts. I recommend the guitar, just make sure you check the tension screws if they're messed up return it. It was a pain to fix mine.
