I have owned this guitar for over 3 years now and seriously it was one of the best investments I have ever made. It has one of the smoothest actions I have ever played on, and with its emg pick ups it has one of the clearest sounds, with no feed back what so ever. I play a lot of shows and I generally choose this guitar to play on, over my RR3 Jackson and my Black Beauty. If there was one thing I could change on it how ever, it would be that it had a Floyd Rose Bridge, that would make this guitar truly perfect.
I have owned this guitar for about 4 years now and it is my favorite. I have always been a fan of the f-series and when I saw this come out I knew I had to have it. I love the design of the guitar and features such as emg pickups, neck and string thru, and the tribal inlays. This guitar sounds awesome no matter what style I play. I also love that it is a very simple guitar no floyd rose to mess with or a bunch of knobs to figure out. If you are going to purchase a guitar or thinking about buying this one, DON'T THINK just buy it you won't go wrong.
After replacing one of the 81's for an 85 and getting it set up for the lowest action you've seen, this thing became the most amazing guitar I've played, I run it through the metal muff and a Peavy ValveKing 100 half stack and it SCREAMS, the shape is brutal and the flamed maple top gets people's attention!
This is an awesome guitar, enough said. this thing just screams heavy licks, clean tones sparkles, you can get nice crunchy classic sounds, it stays in tune very good, and it plays so easy.
this is one of the best guitars i had ever played its neck is lightening fst i had elixer polyweb strings on there and that was the smoothest neck to go up and down on great pick-ups didn't really like the shape that much but one of the best guitars you could ever buy
I was going to get a PRS Paul Allender guitar, but was referred that the ESP would be better suited for what I wanted to use the guitar. I went to the music shop a few miles from where I lived and tried several ESP guitars like the Viper 400, EC 500, MH 1000, and a H 1001, but I fell for the F400. I like the way it is made, the fretboard is smooth at the edges and has a thin neck, it is light, the tuning pegs keep the guitar in tune, and the active EMG 81's give a metal sound that I craved. Also, the wicked design, sweet color, and cool tribal design were just icing on the cake. Too bad this model doesn't have a trembolo, but my Fender Stat does, so it is no big deal. The F-400 is a great sounding quality guitar, it is a must have for any headbanger of any age. I can't seem to put it down.
Im somewhat of a new musician but I know quality when I see it. This guitar is absolutely incredible! The finish is beautiful as are the inlays. It plays even better than it looks as well. Its very easy to move up and down the fretboard quickly and you very rarely have to re-tune it, even when putting on new strings. For the price I might just have to buy another one, cause I dont see how it can get much better.
Had this for almost a year, it's my favorite guitar. So much in fact I'm not sure whether I should play it all the time or leave it alone cuz I don't want to hurt it. Perfect for metal, the inlays are beautiful and the see-thru black finish is great. I love the EMG's. I use this for my solos because it's so easy to fly up and down the fretboard on this guitar. Comfortable sitting or standing, there's not a thing wrong with this guitar.
This is the best guitar I have apart from my Jackson WRMG. I wish I could give this a 4.9 cuz of the dual EMG 81s. This doesn't have a floyd but I don't need it for the C standard tuning I play.
I bought this guitar about 2-3 years ago, and it has never given me a problem. There is only one word I can think of to define this guitar; wiked!!!!! Seriously man this thing is nice. Its got a wonderful finish, the inlay on the fretboard is of great quality. As well as all the hardware. The EMG's are perfect fore some dark shreding. And the action is amazing, you can get it so low, and there is still no buzzing. The neck is slim and fast. Its a great guitar if you know how to play it. Before this all I had was a Fender Strat Mexican (good guitar), but after I got the F-400 I couldn't go back. The only thing that I didn't like too much were the extra-jumbo frets. Don't get me wrong they're great for fast playing, just a little too big for me. All in all, this is a great buy for the price.
