Ok So I bought this guitar today and I must say I am very impressed with it. I have been playing for 20yrs and I am an active musician and this is a great guitar for the money. I have read some of the reviews on hear where people did not like this guitar for one reason or another but I believe that just boils down to personal preferance and knowledge about guitars. for those of you with problems keeping it in tune go get a proffesional to set it up for you!! a guitar that is not set up properly will have those problems exspecially with a floyd rose on it!! as far as for mine it stays in tune no matter how many times I dive the whammy bar!! it has a great sound and feel the neck is nice and thin and very fast the guitar has a great sound geat action and a great look. the clean sound with chorus is really nice.I play southern rock to metallica and this guitar works great for me. this is my second ESP I also own 3 les pauls an SG and a shecter I love all my guitars and this kirk hammett signature ESP is a welcome addition to my ax collection!!

Well this was my second guitar, in terms of quality and price its great,the stock pickups were horrible, the neck is amazingly comfortable, not too heavy, the main thing thats bad about this guitar is the floyd, it wont stay in tune no matter how you tweak or fix it. If I do a simple divebomb the guitar will go COMPLETELY out of tune I mean its not worth it unless you change it to a original floyd or a kahler or something. Overall its great for beginners and such but if youf above beginner level - pro do not but this unless you willing to spend a lot of money changing everything.

Can't go wrong with this guitar, I have had 100's of instruments and this TOPS them ALL....
Opening the box was an exciting moment, Seeing this guitar for the first time gave me chills.... The Floyd Rose was already dialed in, The guitar was practically in tune, I am getting a fret buzz but this can be adjusted and I am sure it will disappear. LOOKS AWESOME, I am 30 years old and I have wanted a Kirk Hammett guitar since I was 12 years old, To any MetallicA fans or guitarists, BUY THIS GUITAR, It is light weight and plays like a pro!!!!
ESP logo is everywhere but the headstock, They put good parts on this BEAST!!

Mindblowing. Absolutley mindblowing. Get this guitar.
I must say, this guitar is a dream come true. I've had it for almost a year, and I haven't looked back ever since. It was my first guitar with a Floyd Rose, so I had some temper issues with it haha, but other than that. The playability is fantastic, the neck is just superb. Now, the pickups are hot and they give good signal. Pair it up with the right distortion, and you got yourself a stairway to metal. The Floyd Rose Special is a pain at times, but it's honestly worth it when you get it just right. I can do Dimebag-sounding pulls on it (Ex. Cemetary Gates outro) and screaming divebombs with it. But keep the saddles and locking nut clean, 'cause it'll put a ringing sound on the strings. If you're a MetallicA fan, or just an aspiring metalhead who wants a killer axe, I'd recommend this to you, and just about anyone else. LONG LIVE HEAVY METAL.
Just about everything I could ever ask for in a guitar.
I bought mine used off Ebay so..this price is a bit high. But it's still worth it.

I'm gonna start off the bat, I do have minor tuning problems involving the Floyd Rose, but that's nothing a little inotation can't fix. The pickups are nice and hot, the bridge screams while the neck is a nice warm. It has great action with the Floyd Rose. The divebombs sound great. Overall, I love this guitar, and would recommend it to any aspiring metal fan who's looking for a good upgrade in guitars. Hope you people found this useful.

I've always wanted this guitar because it looks bad ass, ESP is a great guitar company and I'm a Metallica fan. This guitar is not just a crappy guitar with a stars name on it. It really shreds, the sound is pretty good, the neck feels nice, the pickups are pretty good & stays in tune pretty good if you tune it right. Very happy.

Got it a couple of years ago and I am happy with it. Changed the passive pickups to 81 and 85 and the sound is much better. The bridge although not floyd rose keeps the strings in tune. The price could be better (I got it from musiciansfriend for $420), but still it is good value for the money

The guitar is great no doubt about it. The pickups aren't emgs but the are just knockoff esp pickups. The 24 xj frets are great for my big hands. Stays in tune really well, divebombs are great because of the floyd rose and stay in tune with the locking nut. The only reason i have it is because i got it on sale for $250 and i was impressed a little. Depending on the amp you use you will get good tone i would suggest a marshall or peavey for this bad boy. This is a great guitar for those who are above begginer and is even an good back up for the pros!
