To give some quick background, I have 40 years playing experience, solo and in bands with some professional/recording experience. I wanted another electric to compliment my Strat and was looking for a double HB setup. I played a lot of guitars, including Shechter, Epiphone LP's and the ESP's. The LMQH in Reindeer Blue (yes it is actually purple) went on sale. For the cost I couldn't pass it up. Playing it feels like you are playing a much more expensive guitar. The neck pickup by itself is a little muddy, but I can live with it. Put on a good pair of EMG's or Seymour Duncans and you would swear you have a guitar worth twice or three times as much. I had to do a very slight setup. The action was just a little, and I mean very little bit too high for my liking. A couple of twists of the screwdriver and that settled that easily. The cleans out of the bridge p/u are really nice, almost LP sounding, with a bluesy feel to it. But this guitar likes to get down and dirty. It has definite metal roots, and I absolutely love it! Leads just rip, with a fast neck and easy access to the higher frets.

I managed to find one of these a few towns over after they went out of stock online. They said it was the last one in stock, and since I didn't want to wait until april, I ordered it. Just got here, and for 300, I'd expect better. Nasty fret buzz, can't tell if the frets needs to be shaved or if the neck is bent. I can forgive the Epiphone box they mailed it in, I'm guessing it was a display model and they no longer had the original packaging.

Also, the picture looks nothing like it- I thought it would be a blue-purple mix, and from looking the color up on google that's how it normally is. But on this one, it's lavender, lilac even. Nowhere even close to blue. I bought it specifically for that color, so I'm pretty bummed about how far off the actual model was. If you're drawn to this one by the color, you should see it in person first to make sure you really want it, because if I had, I'd have passed over it and bought a different one. For 300, they can at least get the color right.

Straight out of the box, the action and intonation were right on: not so with many I've gotten. Easy to play, love the quilt maple looks. Plenty of sound through the P/U's--controls and switch are smooth and quiet.

Comments about ESP LTD LMH100QMNT Quilt Maple Top Electric Guitar:

Great guitar for the money! Mine didnt have any fret buzz so thats good. The neck has an unfinished feel and I like it. The frets feel comfortable and they dont hit your hand while sliding up and down the fretboard. The pickups are alright but mine have been replaced with the SD Dave Mustaine Livewire set. My only complaint is that the quilted maple top isn't as highly figured as the one in the picture on here. I guess you get what you pay for. Overall I am very satisfied with mine. The purple color looks cool too!

Comments about ESP LTD LMH100QMNT Quilt Maple Top Electric Guitar:

I switched stock pickups to Seymore Duncan Distortions. This thing sounds wonderful now. Still have less than five hundred invested and it sounds like a $1000+ guitar. Only issue is I need to tune it so much more often than my Kramer or Peavey Wolfgang Special. Doesn't like to stay in tune. Other than that it is a great guitar.

Comments about ESP LTD LMH100QMNT Quilt Maple Top Electric Guitar:

Excellent instrument, fast delivery, fantastic service. I tested their price-match guarantee and was very pleased with how painless the process was, considering that I'd already made the purchase before finding the lower price, elsewhere.

This ESP LTD may lack some of the features that drive more expensive models, but it makes up for that by being highly value-oriented for the price (and looks/sounds as good as any one of the more high-end axes I've seen/played).

I'll certainly be shopping this site's inventory again in the near-future. Horns high \m/

Love this guitar!! The purple color is beautiful. I'm just learning how to play but this guitar is comfortable and fun to play. Stays in tune and has good sound quality. I haven't had any problems with fret buzz like other reviews have suggested. Completely happy with my purchase :)

Comments about ESP LTD LMH100QMNT Quilt Maple Top Electric Guitar:

Bought this for my students and found myself jammin' on it for about 2hrs. Set up was pretty good right out of box. I had to file one fret slightly and a few other minor adjustments and this thing became a serious axe for beginners to semi experienced musicians. And as a stupid deal , it made it that much better of a deal. Students are loving it . I could have handed them a Les Paul Black Beauty and it wouldn't have made them anymore happy maybe less happy. They say they feel like a rocker.

Comments about ESP LTD LMH100QMNT Quilt Maple Top Electric Guitar:

I jumped on it when it was featured on "Stupid Deals". YOU CAN'T GO WRONG! I was expecting to spend hours on it adjusting the bridge height, intonation and neck bow but I was pleasantly surprised that it was 100% playable out of the box! (Had to tune it of course) Another big surprise was the quality of the finish. It rivals that of guitars costing much, much more! It was not what I expected IN A GOOD WAY! If there's anything to complain about, it's the pickups. They're hot. WAY TOO HOT. And they lack any warmth. Compared to my other guitars,
it sounds more like a bandsaw than a band instrument. Nothing a pair of Duncans can't fix...All in all, the quality of workmanship far surpasses my expectations! Personal preference: I think gold hardware would look much better than black or gunmetal on a purple guitar...Now, to swap out the pickups. I think I had a JB and Pearly Gates laying around somewhere....
