Comments about ESP LTD LV307 7-String Electric Guitar:
This being my first 7 string purchase, I am very pleased with this model. The reason for the 4 star rating is the fact that I had to have a tech drill out the low b tuning post, file the nut and the bridge saddle out, and adjust the intonation for my preference in string gauge (.64 low B, .52 E). The store I bought this guitar at was gracious enough to do this at no charge, however. One should also make note that the guitar I purchased had ltd tuners, not grovers, however they hold tuning well, so not that big of a deal. The frets are HUGE, well dressed and seated, the playability is great, and the pickups sound really articulate. (This coming from a passive die hard SD user.) If you want a solid 7 string that doesnt look like a typical boring shape, go with this, you will be very pleased. However, If you want to go with thicker strings, be prepared to make some out of box adjustments that may cost about the same as a stompbox.
