I bought this recently and it's pretty decent. As far as the looks, the picture doesn't do it justice - the quilted top is fabulous and looks a hundred times better than the photo. This is my second ESP LTD guitar. Mine has a minor flaw on the side of the neck where they must have had a problem with one of the frets. It looks like they just filled it in with wood filler. Doesn't affect the playability at all. Stays in tune fairly well. I love the fretboard. Neck is smooth. Sounds ok. Basically a good intermediate level guitar that can't be beat for the price.

I bought the MH-100QM as my first guitar. It looks great and ESP makes a great guitar. I was also limited on choices here because I'm a lefty and wanted to buy through Musician's Friend.2 major flaws/mistakes The first mistake was my own fault. The floyd is a horrible idea for a beginner. Any bending is going to throw you off and tuning/changing strings is slightly more difficult. Any experienced guitarist can compensate by pushing on the trem when bending, but for a beginner, I highly recommend not going this route. The second major flaw is that my guitar has deeper frets than it should. I always sound a little off because of that and it took me too long to realize it.Combining those 2 issues I recommend 2 things if you're interested in this guitar. Spend a little more for a better constructed model AND avoid the Trem.

There isn't really much to say except that it's an amazing guitar.
I got this guitar as a graduation gift and it's been amazing since I received it. It plays really well.
All in all, the quality is great.
In my opinion there couldn't be a better guitar for the price!

This piece of hardware is one Heck of a deal. First off, the ESP pick-ups, although stock pick-ups, are pretty hot and give plenty of tone color. The finish is gorgeous and doesn't have a flaw on it. The Floyd Rose slips a bit here and there, but that was expected. The only real issue I've had with this guitar is the screw that keeps the tremelo arm in the system slips loose from time to time, but nothing a bit of tightening won't fix. Long story short, I highly recommend this guitar to new users of a Floyd system and to veterans alike. If they release anything like this again, you can count on me getting it.

The ESP MH103 has a good feel and a good sound. However, anyone considering this should be aware that the color of the guitar may not be quite what is suggested by the Musicians Friend picture of it. The one I received is a lot darker and had a STRONG greenish tint mixed with the blue. It doesnt look bad, but its not like the picture. If you want to see what I mean, go to wikipedias list of colors. The Musicians Friend picture of the mh103 is a vibrant patchwork of Cobalt and Midnight Blue. The one I received was a more understated blend of Prussian Blue and Deep Jungle Green. Also, the pattern was not as artistic as the pattern in the picture. If one is OK with these things, he should like this guitar.

I Been Playing Over 26 Years and I own The George Lynch Snake n Skulls ESP Model,I bought back in 93' Back then LTD's Were not even out,and I own the Skull n Bones ESP model, and I bought this Guitar and Have played it For the Price it's a Great Guitar,I have always leaned more toward Ebony or Rosewood Fretboards,But Given the way this one Sounds and Plays Very Nice,I would Recommend it more for Guitarist that are in there 3rd year and up of Solid Playing,Unless you are a Beginner and your Style is inDef. need for a Whammy and Floyd Trem. Because I have to have mine,So Much my style Like Lynch's I use it Alot. But for the Average Player it Would be ok.

I replaced the pickups with Dimarzio's. An AT-1 in the bridge and Cruisers in the neck and middle and now this guitar is absolutely amazing. The build and quality are good. The action was good and the maple neck is smooth and easy to play. Since replacing the pickups the sound is exceptional. The Floyd on it is average and is great for small dives and vibratos. Not really great for super dives but for the price you cant expect it. I love this guitar and have had guitars ove the past 22 years in price of up to $2600 that I dont think was as good as this.

very good guitar for amature or begining guitarist has a nice classic/hard rock sound to it but also a really nice clean sound. Ive had it for about three years and sense then the value has gone up. I would recommend this guitar for anyone who is playing live or just as a hobby. for how much this guitar cost me it was definitely worth it this was for sure a Five Star guitar

Comments about ESP LTD MH-103 Quilted Maple Electric Guitar:
I have a really nice '70's Strat, a classic Les Paul, and an Ibanez ART 100 in my guitarsenal. This ESP MH-100 QM makes them irrelevant. While all guitars with multi-position pickup switches have them for differing tones, the switch on the MH-100 QM is like different guitars. The tonal separartion from one position to the next like hanging up the Strat and grabbing the Les Paul. Every position on the p-up switch is a completely differenty axe, none of which I owned before I got this miracle in luthier-ness. You know all those really cool, epiphany-evoking guitar sounds you hear from time to time, but can never seem to find or re-create when playing? Yep. All of them, right here in one seminal, Rock History changing chunk of maple and guts. ESP has outdone themselves, and everyone else. Paul Reed Smith wishes he could make a guitar as good. He can't.
Comments about ESP LTD MH-103 Quilted Maple Electric Guitar:
I was shocked when I first saw a guitar with a 24 fret maple fretboard. I returned several times to the store to try it and had to have it. This guitar flat out rocks! I had been playing an LTD M-100 for 10 years. This one is in a similar vein, but the neck is thicker and has H-S-S pickups instead of H-H. The extra thickness did not bother me at all. The finish is a thing of beauty. It has great sustain and sounds good clean or distorted. And yes, it stays in tune. I did, however replace the whammy bar with an old one from an M-100 since those come up higher. The price can't be beat either. It also has openings in the back so that you can adjust the springs without taking the back plate off. ESP has truely outdone themselves with this one. This could be the best purchase I have ever made!
