This guitar arrived pretty much in tune but with the action a little high. This didn?t bother me as I intended to take it in for a setup anyway. After looking over the finish, I could not find any blemishes. Volume and tone pots very smooth with no crackling, and push-pull coil tap works fine. The first thing that struck me about it is how light it is. You can stand and play for long periods without having to re-distribute its weight; as you would with a Strat or Paul. The body is probably about 5-10 percent smaller than a Strat. The neck is very fast indeed and probably the most comfortable of any guitar I?ve played. It is quite thin though, so if you prefer wider necks this guitar may not be to your taste.I like the pickups, they?re beefy enough for my needs and I don?t envisage swapping them out - pinch harmonics are easily done. Using the coil tap feature produces an excellent single coil tone (but also the inevitable hum that comes with it). Not sure if I?ll use it much, but nice to know it?s there.I have a bashed up old Ibanez RG that I played for years; and this thing just shoots it down in flames. The string-through design is a welcome relief from any Floyd Rose nonsense at string changing time - they come off and go back on faster than you can say Ernie Ball.In conclusion, I believe this guitar represents excellent value for money. It?s a high quality instrument that ESP could probably charge more for. It?s my first ESP and I?m very happy with it.

I bought this guitar recently, and will be returning it. The description says it comes with EMG HZs, but it didn't. It came with ESP LH-300s. I could have dealt with the pickups not being what was described, but even worse is the action on the guitar. Even with professional adjustment, it was a beating to try to play it. Even the technician suggested returning it. On the bright side, the finish is beautiful, and the overall looks is immaculate. Also the weight of the guitar is excellent, very comfortable to have on a strap while standing up. Just wish the action wasn't on par with lower end guitars. If you like lower action, then I do not recommend purchasing this guitar.

I got this guitar a few months ago to add to my ESP Collection and i love it. I have Always played ESP Guitars, and will continue to buy and play ESP Products. All I own is ESP Guitars. Anyways, this guitar has a great feel to it, not to mention the construction and sound of this instrument. The pickups are really good even though they are not EMG's. The push/pull coil tap is a great feature to have on a guitar. The tone and volume knobs were loose when i got it, but thats common for an instrument being bought online. For the price, this is a really good buy, you will not be disappointed.
Ok I got this guitar many a month ago and I gotta say its awesome. For me at least, has a perfect feel about it.The key is how you set it up, I got mine and set it up myself so its running on 4 wheels now instead of 3.I gave 4.5 in Features and Quality because of: 1.The pickups suck (decent but still) and 2.The nut that came with it was not shaped right at the high E string side and I could tell (after a good observation) that the nut was twisted.I got rid of all those small problems and the guitar owns.
A couple months ago i asked my local music store "what is the most versatile guitar you have?" Heres the deal... i play in a cover band. i have to switch back and forth between rock, country, punk, and classical (acoustic). Not to mention, i need to be able to play rhythm and lead. He handed me the MH-250NT. First i was kind of skeptical about an esp. But i plugged it in and it was AMAZING. The clarity of the sound was unlike anything i have seen in an esp. I was shocked at how easy this thing is to play. the neck is incredibly fast and the 20-24 frets are very easy to reach. My favorite part of this whole guitar is the coil tap feature. Noraml i can get screaming distorion like a Les Paul, and tapped i get mellow clean very comparible to a Strat. I run it through my boss acoustic simulator and my frontman 212r and it is perfet. My only complaint about this guitar is that it does not have active pickups. Its not that important to me but if you play really heavy music it might be an issue. Also, the finish looks darker than the stock photo on this site. Otherwise i would recommend this to anyone. I cant wait to gig with it. For me it is like 3 guitars in one.. I used to carry a Les Paul, A strat and an acoustic. Now i just use my MH250NT, and my boss acoustic simulator and i am all set. Beautiful guitar. Excellent bang for your buck.
I've had this thing for a year and a half and I still love it. I've played LTD stuff for years but this thing just kills. Bought it after a hiatus from playing and was looking a other models costing up to a grand. My only gripe is the pups I just can't get enough for my style out of them. other than that just go buy the thing already you won't regret it.
I own this guitar and I find it pretty safe to say that I love it. I write a lot of music with heavy riffs in tunings like Drop C, Standard D, Drop Db and this guitar does it all. At first I had some problems with the 6th string buzzing in Drop C so I took it to a repair shop and had it fixed (all they did was replace the nut which was twisted at the 6th string side, probably some factory flaw and set up the guitar according to my specifications) Now the guitar is FLAWLESS in my opinion. It is beautiful and sounds great even with the stock pick-ups. For maximum performance, swap the pick-ups and put in some locking tuners.
I got this guitar a couple months ago. I love it, it has amazing pickups, they are not active, but I plan to replace them with emg's the neck is sleek and fast, but not crowded, overall, I replaced the strings with Black Beauties and it looks, and sounds amazing, the finish is incredible, I was looking for a guitar to look good and play great, and I got both! great, well rounded guitar for every playing style.
I feel like if you are going to buy this guitar you should not go by reviews that just talk about how great the product is and not why. First thing I noticed right out of the box is that the finish is more beautiful then the picture shows and happens to be a bit darker. No question this guitar is a nice axe to look at, but more importantly how does it play. Before I bought this guitar I was using and epiphone g400 sg. This blew it out of the water, The stock pickups are not bad at all, it puts out more then decent harmonics and very little to no buzzing at high volumes. The high frets are very easy to access as well. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
I am buying this guitar!! I played it in a store and it is pretty much everything i want in a guitar except for the pickups. They don't sound bad (They are actually very good for ESP brand pickups) but there are better ones. It is extremely light and is ultra-contoured in the back to fit anyone's playing style, whether calm or headbanging. This guitar, is epic win.
Beautiful Guitar with coil tap. This thing has a fast neck and can reach the 24th fret with ease. My only complaint is that the volume knob needs to be moved closer to the bridge. My finger hits it while I'm palm muting causing me to accidently turn the guitar volume down. I love the coil-tap feature. Just because the pickups say "ESP" don't think they are junk. If I was blindfolded, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between these and higher priced passive pickups!
I was in my local guitar shop just browsing< I was checking out an amp and I grabbed this guitar because it was the closest one to me. I quickly forgot about the amp and next thing i know the guitar was on its way home with me. I have not been able to put it down since. This guitar was just perfect for me (but we all like diffrent things) I usually play Schecters, I have a C-1 classic, a C-1 hellraiser, and an epiphine les paul standard. I prefer this little LTD over any of them. All I can say is pick one up and try it out for yourself. I would expect this guitar to cost hundreds more. very nice! Try one out!
