This guitar arrived pretty much in tune but with the action a little high. This didn?t bother me as I intended to take it in for a setup anyway. After looking over the finish, I could not find any blemishes. Volume and tone pots very smooth with no crackling, and push-pull coil tap works fine. The first thing that struck me about it is how light it is. You can stand and play for long periods without having to re-distribute its weight; as you would with a Strat or Paul. The body is probably about 5-10 percent smaller than a Strat. The neck is very fast indeed and probably the most comfortable of any guitar I?ve played. It is quite thin though, so if you prefer wider necks this guitar may not be to your taste.I like the pickups, they?re beefy enough for my needs and I don?t envisage swapping them out - pinch harmonics are easily done. Using the coil tap feature produces an excellent single coil tone (but also the inevitable hum that comes with it). Not sure if I?ll use it much, but nice to know it?s there.I have a bashed up old Ibanez RG that I played for years; and this thing just shoots it down in flames. The string-through design is a welcome relief from any Floyd Rose nonsense at string changing time - they come off and go back on faster than you can say Ernie Ball.In conclusion, I believe this guitar represents excellent value for money. It?s a high quality instrument that ESP could probably charge more for. It?s my first ESP and I?m very happy with it.

I bought this guitar recently, and will be returning it. The description says it comes with EMG HZs, but it didn't. It came with ESP LH-300s. I could have dealt with the pickups not being what was described, but even worse is the action on the guitar. Even with professional adjustment, it was a beating to try to play it. Even the technician suggested returning it. On the bright side, the finish is beautiful, and the overall looks is immaculate. Also the weight of the guitar is excellent, very comfortable to have on a strap while standing up. Just wish the action wasn't on par with lower end guitars. If you like lower action, then I do not recommend purchasing this guitar.

I've had this thing for a year and a half and I still love it. I've played LTD stuff for years but this thing just kills. Bought it after a hiatus from playing and was looking a other models costing up to a grand. My only gripe is the pups I just can't get enough for my style out of them. other than that just go buy the thing already you won't regret it.
This guitar is very sexy. It handles with ease distortion (like hi gain pantera type-y stuff), and has the most beautiful cleans. IT HAS A COIL TAP. It can be used for any style of music. I use it in my thrash metal band, and also in my classic rock band. It owns most guitars normally used in both genres. Get this guitar spend $1000 more and get a guitar of the same quality.
My first guitar was a Schecter, but when I saw this guitar on the shelf i couldn't pass it up, it just looked way too appealing. I took it home and played some of my jams and could have never been happier, 2 thumbs up all the way
I feel like if you are going to buy this guitar you should not go by reviews that just talk about how great the product is and not why. First thing I noticed right out of the box is that the finish is more beautiful then the picture shows and happens to be a bit darker. No question this guitar is a nice axe to look at, but more importantly how does it play. Before I bought this guitar I was using and epiphone g400 sg. This blew it out of the water, The stock pickups are not bad at all, it puts out more then decent harmonics and very little to no buzzing at high volumes. The high frets are very easy to access as well. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
i bought this guitar about 3 or 4 months ago and i love it. the distortion sounds amazing going through my boss pedal and my peavey 212 special. the push pull coil makes a real nice clean/accoustic sound too. the only down side to this guitar is the jumbo frets. if you push the strings down hard they make the sound go sharp a little bit. you dont notice it unless you play with another guitar. i play with two other guitars as back up and i play lead and it is very noticeable. i would recomend this guitar to anyone with a budget wanting a nice solid light guitar with a powerful distortion and crystal clean sound.
So I fell in love w/ this guitar b/c you won't find a very good-quality instrument w/ neck-thru construction for this price. I bought it new, and as soon as it came out of the box, I was amazed. Stays in-tune, can hold its own in any kind of tuning, personally I go from D, to Drop C, to regular standard tuning. This guitar can deff rock out anything for ya. I can cover anything from Blink to killswitch w/ this baby, and I do. Get it!
I just bought this guitar from one of the local shops and I absolutley love it! It looks even better in-person sounds excellent and is THE MOST comfortable guitar I have ever played. The neck-through body allows great access to those 24th fret so solos are easier and effortless. The EMG's provide creamy cleans AND hardcore distorsion! I wanted a guitar with active pickups, but I'm totally content with the passive HZ's. Oh yeah! The string-through system makes string changes a breeze. I used to play floyd rose tremelos and put up with the 4 hour string changes which are so annoying to the point where I dreaded breaking strings! I play through a Line 6 Spider II 112, and these two put together is an excellent combo. If you're into hard rock and metal, this is the guitar for you.
Phenomenal guitar - beautiful looks, wonderful playability. The sound is amazing. The coil tapping feature is really a nice touch that makes this guitar useful for every kind of music. The ESP/EMG humbuckers have a nice thick sound that will crush your skull if given the opportunity. If you're thinking about buying this, you need to stop thinking and just buy it!.
I recieved this guitar about a month ago, and ever since then i haven't been able to put this beauty down! The action on this guitar is amazing! I have 6 other guitars, and some costing double the price of this guitar, and this beastly thing kicks their butts! This is the best deal ive ever seen for a guitar this incredible. I recommend it for anyone whose looking for a great guitar on a budget.
A couple months ago i asked my local music store "what is the most versatile guitar you have?" Heres the deal... i play in a cover band. i have to switch back and forth between rock, country, punk, and classical (acoustic). Not to mention, i need to be able to play rhythm and lead. He handed me the MH-250NT. First i was kind of skeptical about an esp. But i plugged it in and it was AMAZING. The clarity of the sound was unlike anything i have seen in an esp. I was shocked at how easy this thing is to play. the neck is incredibly fast and the 20-24 frets are very easy to reach. My favorite part of this whole guitar is the coil tap feature. Noraml i can get screaming distorion like a Les Paul, and tapped i get mellow clean very comparible to a Strat. I run it through my boss acoustic simulator and my frontman 212r and it is perfet. My only complaint about this guitar is that it does not have active pickups. Its not that important to me but if you play really heavy music it might be an issue. Also, the finish looks darker than the stock photo on this site. Otherwise i would recommend this to anyone. I cant wait to gig with it. For me it is like 3 guitars in one.. I used to carry a Les Paul, A strat and an acoustic. Now i just use my MH250NT, and my boss acoustic simulator and i am all set. Beautiful guitar. Excellent bang for your buck.
