Comments about ESP LTD MH-350FR Electric Guitar:

One of the smoothest fretboards you could ever play on! I can't believe I got this guitar for only 700. It plays like it's worth at least 1300. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is just because it has some very small issues with buzzing and the bridge is not 100% steady. Nothing a little adjusting can't fix.

Great Guitar

By LTDFAn

Comments about ESP LTD MH-350FR Electric Guitar:

I own the older version of this guitar know as the MH-250. The only difference between the 2 guitars was the pick-ups. I just ordered Seymour Duncan SH-8 invaders to replace the pick-ups it came with. Over I am very happy with the guitar it feels great to play. The tremel, while it may not be an original floyd the special does the job just as well. I had bought the guitar a little after I had started playing and didnt really know what I needed or wanted in a guitar. Now I am very happy with this guitar. There are a few very minor cosmetic defect like the inlays not all being the same size but something that small doesnt really matter to me. So in anycase i would say buy this guitar if your into rock or metal of any type, it looks great and plays great.

Good Guitar

By Eric V.

from Oakland, Maine

Comments about ESP LTD MH-350FR Electric Guitar:

I needed an intermediate guitar to step up from my beginner guitar. Overall I like this guitar much better for its sound quality and playability. It has nice active pickups and produces good lead tones and full sounding rythm tones. I also like the string locking feature which keeps the strings in tune after giving the whammy bar a workout. This system of string locking gives you tuning buttons on the bridge which can be used to tune strings up or down a half step or so. This guitar has 24 frets which I like better than my old guitar that had only 21. This guitar is good for rock and metal, and has the capability of producing good hard, tight tones. Also the clean sound suprised me, and made this guitar more versilte than I previously thought. One thing I don't like about this guitar is some times low note power chords sound a little muddy under distortion. Also the bridge makes it a little hard to palm mute the strings, but not to badly. Overall, this guitar has good intermediate features and is a good sounding step up for an intermediate player. I would reccomend this guitar.

Great Guitar

By joninva1

from D.C. Metro area

Comments about ESP LTD MH-350FR Electric Guitar:

This guitar sounds great. I have another guitar with EMG 81/85 combo which sounds clear but somewhat muddy distorted- Not so with this guitar. Clear all the time. Great clean/blues sound as well as face melting metal. You can really hear the extra sustain and harmonic brilliance due to the neck-thru design. The bridge is solid and of good quality for a liscensed FR. The selector switch is also of good quality unlike others out there. I think more options with eq/tone could be utilized due to the active pickups so I docked a point for features. For the money I would expect some sort of x-over or boost, etc. but that's me being picky. The quality is that of an LTD. ESP's are pricey so the "Honda" version of the company as expected has very small quality issues but in no way affect the sound or performance of the guitar. For example, some of my unit's fret inlays have a small black gap between the inlay and the white trim along the neck. Its cosmetic. There is no void or cavity or anything, the inlays are sealed. just not 100% exact fitment in the neck. As well, the 12th fret inlay that shows the model number- model number is smudged a little between the 5 and 0 of the model # MH-350FR. little things. My FR brigde had a nasty resonance on the 2nd string which had to be worked out but that is not necessarily ESP's fault. Recording is a dream with this unit- I tracked a short exercise with it today and the output was very solid. This guitar unlike other passive versions is easy to get good clean levels from with full on distortion or less. It makes no difference and I am 100% pleased with my purchase. This guitar is priced right and anyone looking for a good guitar to use will enjoy it. Just make sure you keep the rest of your collection as with EMGs your tonal variety is limited to what the circuit board is set to output for each switch position.

Great valued neck thru guitar

By Superbeedan

from Mid-Michigan

Comments about ESP LTD MH-350FR Electric Guitar:

I was very pleased with ESP's MH-400 and MH-401 series with set necks and was ecstatic to hear of the the neck thru design returning to the lineup in 2010. Already having a 2003 ESP MH-301 of neck thru design I was already aware of the sustain capabilities. Having EMG 81/85 active pups just lets this guitar scream. This guitar is an AWESOME value for the price!! I have had zero issues with the licensed Floyd Rose trem on any of my guitars. Dive bomb away and keep your tune!! Definitely give this guitar strong consideration for purchase!

Amazing ESP!

Comments about ESP LTD MH-350FR Electric Guitar:

This guitar is perfect for anyone who plays metal or hard rock. The tone is beautiful and clear. The floyd rose is good quality, not a cheap licensed one. The neck-thru design adds long sustain to the already clear sound. Great guitar for advanced players looking for fast axe.
