Comments about ESP LTD SC-607B 7-String Baritone Electric Guitar:
I just got this guitar today! Well, I used to down-tune my 6 string guitars to drop A in order to play deathcore/metalcore music and cover songs by Chelsea Grin, Whitechapel, and Suicide Silence. However, high soloing was impossible cuz of drop A downtuning. So, I decided to get this guitar cuz my fav bands use this guitar. I just wanna say that this guitar is great! It's really easy to play. It also sounds better (to me at least) than downtuned-guitars(drop A). As I read the reviews of this guitar before I purchased, I was worried about the placement of the middle pickup. Honestly, I don't find it difficult to play. To me, there's enough space between pickups and strings. I hope this helps if you're thinking to buy this guitar or switching from 6 strings to 7 strings.
Comments about ESP LTD SC-607B 7-String Baritone Electric Guitar:
I've been playing guitar for 17 years now, I made the switch from 6 string to 7 string back in the summer of 2008. Since then, I've been thru 2 Ibanez's, 1 Schecter, and 2 ESP guitars, all 7 string. This is the "end-all, be-all" for me as a musician.
I don't 'practice' when I play guitar, I 'train'. For 2-3 hours a day to be exact. I'll never need another guitar again. Hands down,
This is a high-performance killing machine, designed to rain fire from the speakers in your amplifier. I tried to perform at an open mic the other night and they stopped me, since fire is apparently against fire safety and building codes..yeah, likely story.
Ultimately, I think that any 7 string player should have this guitar as apart of their arsenal.
Comments about ESP LTD SC-607B 7-String Baritone Electric Guitar:
Overall I am extremely happy that I bought this guitar! I have been dying to have a 607b for years now so I had very high expectations... I was thrilled to find out it was everything I hoped it would be. I would HIGHLY recommend this guitar to anyone looking at purchasing a 7 string... especially if you like heavy music because this guitar is a BEAST! The ESP LTD SC 607b all around has stellar quality from looks to sound and everything in between.
The features on this guitar are fantastic! From the locking tuners down to shape, feel, inlays and sound I enjoy everything about this guitar! It only took about 20 minutes for me to get used to the new pickup placement and the feel of a baritone 7. Anyone concerned that a baritone might be too big has nothing to worry about... I was concerned a 27'' baritone scale may be to big for me since I have smaller female hands and this guitar feels completely natural and easy to play. The inlays are gorgeous and the over all look completely reflects the sound... which is pure AWESOME-NESS!!
Every bit of this guitar is VERY good quality.. I keep trying to find ANYTHING wrong with it but I haven't found a single flaw. The SC 607b is everything you would expect from Stephen Carpenter or any badass baritone 7 string... inside and out.
This instrument is worth EVERY penny! Reasonably priced, great quality, superior sound, killer looks... what more can you ask for!?
Comments about ESP LTD SC-607B 7-String Baritone Electric Guitar:
If you are into down tuning and want a clear resonating tone in tune down, this instrument is for you. The leads take on almost effortless quality to them in tune down and the long scale give a different feel to the sound.
This instument is great. The pickups are placed for a less bass sound and their sound has a well balanced active sound. I did not find the pickup placement on the instrument to cause any problems for picking or playing. The scale is long for a different overall sound.
The action is nice and low but could be a tad lower. The neck thru really adds to the tone and you definately will hear the difference. The pickups have nice long sustain and a bit on the treble end of the scale. Active sound is an acquried taste for some but they are right for this axe. You need to touch the tone dial and the gain setting on your amp for the brilliance of this instrument to come through. The problem is that a lot of younger players are afraid to dial down the tone when they hit the distortion.
If you can get it on sale, this is one quality instrument and 7strings gives you plenty of more way to deliver the riffs.
Comments about ESP LTD SC-607B 7-String Baritone Electric Guitar:
I have owned it for a about a year and it is great. For metal music it blows away anything I have ever played. The seventh string is great for the players like me that are always switching between drop D and E tuning. Stays in tune nicely, and I can say the only thing that I don't love about it is that at the start of my playing my pick it the pickups. Great value, worth the money.
Comments about ESP LTD SC-607B 7-String Baritone Electric Guitar:
This guitar is absolutely awesome. The baritone neck has allowed me to Tune down to F# with ease so I can get the Gallactic Low that bands like Meshuggah have. The neck thru design that ESP/LTD has perfected is second to none. Its a bit on the heavy side but the weight compliments the tone very nicely. I decided to switch out my EMGs for Seymour Duncan Blackouts even though the EMGs were pretty damn good. I love the non trem bridge aswell cause anyone who has owned a Floyd Rose knows how much of a chore it is to re-string and tune.I cant wait to get my grip on the New ESP SRC 8 string.
Comments about ESP LTD SC-607B 7-String Baritone Electric Guitar:
I bought this guitar because I wanted a 7 string and I had heard good things about this one. I have never owned a 7 before this. It is easy to play if you are used to a 6. The action is low and just feels like you are cutting through butter. The hardware on this guitar is very good and rivals the hardware of more expensive guitars. I love this guitar and can't wait to get home and play it. I have 2 complaints about it but it's not enough to make me not like it. First, I don't like the middle pickup in the position it's in. That is where I pick and I'm constantly hitting it. The other thing is the EMG pickups. They sound great for heavy music and have great sustain but if you want to play more percussive, "funk type stuff on the high end, they are too responsive and bright and hurt my ears. The guitar is great and I'm really enjoying it but keep those factors in mind.
Comments about ESP LTD SC-607B 7-String Baritone Electric Guitar:
I bought this guitar because I was looking for something very heavy on the bottom end than my Suhr classic. I was not overly impressed with the Ibanez seven strings so I went with the ESP LTD, they are made in Korea not Japan like good Ibanez 7 strings but the quality and workmanship is clearly obvious when you pick it up and plug it in, set neck, carved top, bound fretboard, jumbo frets, not to mention top of the line hardware, Tone Pros bridge, EMGs' etc. These Korean guitars have really come far, don't let the LTD label fool you. when I saw Lacuna coil at Ozzfest playing these same guitars I was blown away with the look, sound, clear tight bottom end without sounding muddy, very clear and articulate all around, clean or distorted. Also very natural to play when transitioning from 6 strings, when you crank this guitar it really wails! I couldn't be more happy with how good it looks, how versatile it is and how excellent it sounds. I'm glad I bought it, great guitar! great price! try it, you won't regret it. I can't say enough about this guitar now that I own it. Just what I was looking for.

This guitar is NASTY!!! I finally found a decent 7 string w/o a whammy bar. If you're looking for something like that.....look no further. I got the gloss natural, and it looks very awesome.

I've played with this guitar for 7 months now. before i got this monster, i've used LTD kirk hammet neck-through shit. i use both of them in my jammin and concert. boy, i love this shit... i like to play with drop A. the sounds comes out from this baby is a mass-destructive heavy... only if it had the floyd rose bridge like KH, i would use this guitar only... a great piece of an art, man. if you'll gonna buy the ibanez K7, think again. this baby will turn your music into a mass-destruction weapon.
