Best value for the dollar in a new guitar period

Comments about ESP LTD Xtone PD1 Electric Guitar:

For the price this is a steal. I got one on black just because of the price and I'm very impressed. I have a fairly large collection of "vintage" type guitars, and really needed something with a modern feel and sound....this is perfect. Pics dont do the black one justice, the trim looks like it could be "too much", its not...very classy in person and the abalone MOT trim plays off the dual tone inlays perfectly.

I've had trouble getting used to the huge frets ESP/LTD uses in the past...no issue with this one, plays fast and easy and the neck has some girth to it, very comfortable for extended play.

The body contour makes it a very comfortable fit as well....great budget alternative to a G-USA LP Axcess IMO.

Only major knock wich arent major given the price are the cheap mini pots and no EMG quick connect system, and two volumes would have been nice,

As for sound, the 81 does what its supposed to, the 60 was a surprise, very versatile and great sounding pup IMO, I've mostly dealt with the 81/85 combo and IMO the 85 is useless outside of high gain....the 60 can get a nice full vintage tone about 3/4 volume and sounds great clean or with just a bit of dirt.

I bought this thinking it would be fun for a bit and an easy flip...she's a keeper. Only mod I've done so far is put Gibson style silver speed knobs on (they look wicked cool on the black model), other than that I may upgrade the pots and switch but thats all she really needs IMO.
Individual vvolumes would be nice but no deal breaker
Has the standard MIC mini pots and doesnt feature EMG's quick connect system for hassle free upgrades
Real EMG's, classy dress and excellent build quality for MIC , for under $400 you cant beat it.

Comments about ESP LTD Xtone PD1 Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar when they were on sale and what a deal. The guitar is so playable and with 2 emgs you just can't go wrong... You just won't get a better deal than that on this guitar. Its big and heavy and has a thick thick tone that sustains for days.... buy it

Comments about ESP LTD Xtone PD1 Electric Guitar:

I was very impressed when I got this guitar. Workmanship and quality are outstanding. Beautiful flamed top and abalone inlays and binding. Frets are smooth and even. Set up and intonation was right on. Comes with 10's which is what I use so I was happy about that You cant beat the price for a guitar like this.

Comments about ESP LTD Xtone PD1 Electric Guitar:

I have been and ESP Fan for years. I have a 400VF, PS-1, and A couple of ESP Bases. Since getting the PS 1 I have enjoyed what the Xtone Brand brings to the table. So When this little Beauty Got here I was Jazzed Man! Got the Pearl White and the Finish is Top Notch. Active Pickups bring a lot to the value. 499 is a steal for this AXE! Musicians Friend Does it again! BAM!

Amazing feel!

Comments about ESP LTD Xtone PD1 Electric Guitar:

This is my first ESP and I was really impressed. The neck feels like glass and this thing is truly beautiful. The knobs have a real nice, smooth feel to them. This guitar is also outstandingly beautiful - considered the black to show off the mother of pearl insets, went with red, though. Now the playability and sound - well, they're EMGs, so the sustain is awesome, the tone is awesome. The body is pretty heavy - you might want a pad on that strap if you are playing a long gig. Also, this guitar is pretty big. Good for me - I'm tall with long arms - but if you have a smaller build, it might be more of a problem. Too bad they are discontinuing this model.
