I've owned the MH-50 for over a year, putting alot of miles on it along the way.For the price it's a decent guitar it seems to stay in tune relativly well, and has nice action/playability.While the pickups are kinda cheap they seem to get the job done. Also the guitar seems very reliable, I haven't had any problems that would render it unplayable. On the other hand, the neck doesnt seem very stable, meaning truss rod adjustments often, and I still end up with some string buzz. The biggest problem is the fret work, there is a gap between the fretbord and ALL frets on the high E string side of the guitar. So if you happen to get the high e pulled off the top of the neck (it happens) the string gets caught in the gap and can cause some troubles during a song/gig.The only other thing is the finish on the hardware, not great but OK for this price range. All in all I recommend this as a beginners guitar for someone who wants to play metal and hard rock on a budget, but beware you'll probably end up upgrading eventually.

Awesome axe for the money

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I wanted to buy a decent quality guitar for a Metal style pickup upgrade. What I got far exceeded my expectations. What a fabulous instrument! Unparalled quality for the money. The pickups are decent too. (I threw some SD Blackouts in mine, and this guitar is now a total BEAST!) The Floyd Rose takes some patience to get used to, but once you figure it out, its all good. Out of the box, this is a great intermediate level guitar for Hard Rock, or Metal styles. This was my first experience with ESP, as I usually play Les Pauls, and I was blown away by my MH-50. Buy it with confidence.

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

This guitar is fantastic. I've been into a few music shops and the guitars just didn't feel right. Got this one shipped. There's no going back... Great rockabilly sound. If you play Doom metal, this guitar gets crunchy and filthy. I highly recommend this guitar if you don't have alot of money. GET IT!

    Very Pleased

    By lovetheltd

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I have had this guitar since 2007 so I speak of this instrument with some experience. Right out of the box mine was set up to play fairly well however not to my liking. I am experienced with Floyd Rose bridges so it was no big deal for me to adjust it and its been fine ever since. I had no issues sound wise from the stock pick ups but did upgrade them to SD's. No problems with the truss rod or neck, in fact I haven't had to make an adjustment yet. The finish on the hardware does fade a little but I have had no issues with it going to bare metal or rusting. The finish on the guitar it self is bullet proof, good old poly finish. I love the body contours very comfortable to play, standing or seated and the neck is slim and fast. If you have issues with the neck "sticking" while you move your hand around the fret board just hit it with #0000 steel wool. Listen I've played the sh!t out of this guitar for almost 4 years now, heck I even took it to IRAQ for a year and this thing is still kicking @ss. I would recommend this guitar to any one, any time any where. Buy it, you'll love it.

Just got it & opened her up2 check'er out! It's not really 4 me, my daughter wanted a sweet blk gtr, well I'm sure she's gonna freak! I'd gotten her the Washburn Hanna Montana elec gtr a couple years ago & she grew outta that HM phaze, so neglected her practice, but I'd given her my Little Martin acc/elec that she's been progeressing on. I'll tell U what, this is better than the 1st real guitar I got 4 Xmas. Enitially, I'd thoght, the blemmish was between the bridge & the pick-up, but was actually @ the base of the f/r bridge, wow what a steal, tho! I'm kinda jealous...
Except 4 the blemmish, which I knew was there b4 buying, was the bomb digety!
    killer!

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

The guitar does have a lot of potential. I got it used and in "very good condition" Not true, I had to refret the guitar since half of frets were almost out at treble side. When I looked inside the trem cavity the previous owner made a huge wood cut probably to allow the trem's block to float a lot more. The Floyd Rose special is really cheap and poorly made. The low e saddle screw was stripped,so I had to replace it too. Now after a couple of hundreds more. The guitar is back in shape.

I bought this guitar and as soon as i plugged it into my amp, I knew that I wouldn't be able to put it down. Love the floyd rose, great for divebombing. the shredding is amazing and the tone sounds good even on my 15 watt crate. i strongly recommend this guitar. Don't waste your money on a more expensive one. This is an amazing deal.

I love it. Get it. It's the best guitar I've ever had. The whammy bar lets me bend notes like never before and the guitar stays in tune. I've never had the small fine tuning wheels before and I love having them there. I can very quickly make slight tuning adjustments while playing. The fretboard feels good. The guitar is beautiful. The electronics are solid. There's no hum when I'm close to my recording equipment. The only thing that I haven't been able to create as much as I would like to are pinch harmonics. But I imagine that I just have to find the right settings on my other equipment. Anyway, if you're trying to decide which guitar to get, this one will make you happy!

First off I want to state that I am a Schecter person, but this is the first guitar I've owned with a floyd rose. I have owned this guitar since 2012 and it is still an awesome guitar!! Pick ups sound awesome, no fret buzz what so ever, great quality feel for the price! The weight balance on this guitar is amazing! I have owned guitars that have to light of a body versus a neck and vice versa. Only thing I would change is the floyd rose for a better quality one. Other than that I love this guitar all around. Great for musicians who want to start off on the floyd rose. Also awesome for experienced musicians. Great job ESP!

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I bought this at a local store and so far it's been the best I've owned yet. The tremolo is pretty sweet since I just learned how to do whammy harmonics. Stays in tune pretty well. The only problem about this is that when I tune it to drop C, all the strings start buzzing which is really annoying so I have to stay in drop D or standard. Overall this is an awesome deal and I'll definitely buy another ESP for my next guitar.

This guitar for the money is a GREAT buy!! For the price this guitar stacks up to Professional Grade instruments ranking in the thousand range. The only complaint i had was i had to adjust the action when i recieved it is all. The pickups are good for stock pickups but if you got the money drop some EMG's or Dimarzio's in it...But other than that it is GREAT!!

This guitar best guitar I've ever played other than a couple of les pauls... As soon as I took it out of the box it was already strung, tuned and ready to go. So I plugged it in and immediately started jamming on Master of Puppets, It sounds fantastic!!! The pickups aren't that great, but I plan to repalce them with the EMG Zakk Wylde Set it a month or two. This Guitar is fantasitic! 10's on everything great job ESP! :)

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I have recently bought this guitar as an extra for a diferent tuning so I wouldnt have to keep chaging the tuning on my LTD jh-200. But anyway this is a really nice guitar, the neck is decent for speed, but the thing I really like is its is really good for rhythm guitar. But dont get me wrong it is good for lead too. If you are looking for a good quality cheap guitar, I would recomend it as a good choice.

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

This guitar was so good considering the price. The tremolo rules! the body is very slick and the neck is thin and very easy to grip/move. the locking system is very useful and you won't have to tune it much (if you stretch out the strings when you get it). The pickups so incredible with my mt-2 Metal Zone distortion pedal. But if you wanna get this guitar to its max potential then either get some EMG 85/81 active pickups or some SDs. this guitar will last a long time too so buy now!!!

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

The MH-50 has to be the best valued guitar on the market right. I just recently purchased this guitar, and I have to say this is one of the best guitars I have ever bought. I've been playing guitar for 22 years, and the only other guitar that is better is Steve Vai's Jem; but without the hefty price tag. The only drawback is the pickups, but they're pretty good, although the sound is a little thin. The other features are excellent. Most modern guitars come standard with 24 frets, so if you're a serious "metalhead" or "shredder", you'll love this guitar. As an added bonus feature the MH-50 comes equipped with a Floyd Rose locking tremolo system, great for extended periods of play without having to retune. ESP surprise me with this wonderful guitar. I played everything from Fender, Gibson, Jackson, Ibanez & Paul Reed Smith; ESP is just as good if not better than any of them. I'm proud to own a ESP.

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

When I first got the guitar it looked alot better than it played. I was getting crazy buzzing from the low E. The neck was not set right on the body and had to get it honed and shimmed and also had had to shim the locking nut. Now that the buzz is gone it screams. Love the pickups and action. I'd say it plays and sounds like a thousand dollar guitar now.

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I was not happy with the ESP MH-50. It's an axiom that you get what you pay for but the mh-50 I got had some serious fret buzz. Adjusting the truss rod didn't even help fully. I ended up returning it. This is a guitar for practicing, not for playing shows.
