Comments about ESP Xtone PC-2 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I've had a PC-2 for about seven years. In the meantime, I have bought and sold several more expensive guitars, both solid and semi-hollow. There doesn't seem to be anything it can't do. It's a natural blues guitar. With the ESP thin C neck and jumbo frets it also shreds like an Eclipse. Right now I have it strung with Tomastik light flat wounds for jazz. The SD pickups (HB and Jazz) are solid and will give you almost any tone you want. (Too bad there's no coil-tapping switch.) I bought this guitar on a whim but am glad I did. ESP does good work.

Comments about ESP Xtone PC-2 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

unbelievable tone and playability in this model.... slight fret buzz here and there that should work out over time as i have a chance to work in the setup.. only drawback is that the volume pots do not roll-off consistently -- very sharp roll-off around the "3" position... some may consider swapping out with other pots if they like to work the volume pots...

Comments about ESP Xtone PC-2 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

This is a very good quality and great sounding guitar. It looks goos grate neck and the body contour is creatively fresh. This is my first ESP and I struck gold with this choice. the color and subtle but stage worthy. This is a nice change from the strat-LP lineup

Comments about ESP Xtone PC-2 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

This is a first class guitar. I am a Fender/Vox/Gibson guy, but this guitar would not let me forget it. So I took a chance and I tell you it plays great and feels fantastic. The neck is butter and the body like a babe. The pickups are clear and thick and the setup was right on. My only con was that this guitar did not come with a hard shell case. For this price a case is to be expected. This is my first ESP and it is a great one.

Comments about ESP Xtone PC-2 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

I purchased this guitar as a "stupid deal of the day." I thought to myself, "I would be stupid not to..." I am very glad that I did make the purchase! This guitar sits perfectly on me; it is not body or headstock heavy, so it doesn't wander up or down while wearing with a strap.

Did I mention the tone? It has a very rich tone and a very long lasting sustain, which really comes through the Seymour duncan pick ups.

The fit and finish are top notch and I would not hesitate to make the purchase again.

Comments about ESP Xtone PC-2 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Honored to do the first review:) I can highly recommend this Xtone PC 2. I've been a big fan of Esp's for about 5 + years I own 1000EC Ltd to Eclipse and GL 56. Me and my son both have a Ps1 and Pc2 black Korean versions 2005 and 2007 which are amazing players even with Esp pickups. This model (Indonesia ) comes with Seymour Duncan's and a awesome paint finish it was really a no brainier for me I had to have it. The paint is not too flamboyant and the cream binding helps to tone it down. Besides nothing wrong with some glamour on stage:) Very good set up right out of the box. Slim neck plays very fast and comfortable and the body is perfect thickness not too thick. The sound I know you can get from this XTone are: All Jazz, Rockabilly, Blues, Country, Beatles, J Brown, BB King, Radiohead, S Moore (Elvis), J Page and so on.
Ps There are similar XTones with bolt on neck from China I would stay away from.

Comments about ESP Xtone PC-2 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar:

Guitar feels amazing. Very similar to the both Gibby and Epi LPs I've played. Build is significantly more solid than one would expect from a production model guitar. Made in Indonesia rather than Korea like most LTD guitars, I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Setup on arrival was good. I used it exclusively at band practice that night. Slight fret buzz, but after some minor tweaking by my luthier it was perfect.

Sound is very similar to a chambered maple cap Les Paul I played at Guitar Center recently. Thick with some not overly harsh bite. It definitely has more acoustic resonance than the LP, but not nearly as much as say a 335 or some of the larger Schecter and Ibanez semi hollows I've played. I would say it splits the difference between a chambered guitar and a traditional semi hollow. Brighter than the former, but thicker than the latter. Feedback is also much more manageable than with the other semi hollows I've played in live and practice settings in the past. It's actually only been at all noticeably present in practice, and even then extremely manageable.

I have only two complaints. The finish, which honestly still looks great, but is more of a very light champagne than a silver. Also there are a few spots where there is glitter on the binding, not at all noticeable under very close inspection. My other complaint is that the pickups are not really for me. If I were actually using this guitar for what most consider a semi hollow is for, ie. Jazz, Blues, etc., they would most likely work just fine. That being said, for my taste they lack the thickness for high gain rhythm work.

All in all I have been extremely pleased with this guitar, and after I put the new lace nitro hemis I ordered in I believe it will be my favorite guitar that I have ordered thus far.
