Comments about Fender 60th Anniversary Classic Player '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

This guitar is amazing. The feel of the neck and the tone are to die for. It defebtly fills that spot that was missing in my collection of humbucker and p90 equipped guitars. The included case was a very nice bonus. The fit and finish are perfect I looked it over for a good hour and couldn't find one flaw. Tldr this guitar is amazing you won't regret it.

Comments about Fender 60th Anniversary Classic Player '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

This is a wonderful Stratocaster. First and foremost, it sounds and plays wonderfully. The neck is very comfortable. The pickups are really amazing. It's all the awesome traditional Stratocaster sounds that you can think of - any Strat sound can be achieved with this guitar. It can sound warm and lovely or you can really push it with some gain and play pretty much any kind of music on this if you utilize all the controls. I know many players that just turn volumes and tones all the way up but you can really dial out the treble on these guitars to have a very warm and rich sound. This anniversary version of the 50s players Strat is gorgeous. I was shocked at how well setup this guitar was when it arrived. It was perfectly intonated and in tune when I took it out of the case. The nut is cut perfectly and the action is just great. This is the first time I have ever bought a Strat and not immediately taken some tools to it. I don't have to do anything but just enjoy the gorgeous looks of this guitar and it's amazing sound and playability. I might never play my American Standards again. I may never play any of my other guitars again. This Desert Sand finish is so unique. I don't normally like gold hardware but I think this guitar looks really great with this combination and in goes so well with the standard goldish tweed case. For the extra 200 for this model over the regular version you get a gold tweed case, beautiful nitro finish, gold hardware, gold anodized pickguard, medalion in the headstock, literature, Anniversary booklet and case candy, and a very special color that is just different than all other Strats. When you combine all that with the amazing workmanship on this guitar it is really an amazing value. It also came with a thing about the Master Guitar Builder and his profile and photo which I think is also pretty cool. There is a pride in workmanship with this gorgeous guitar that really shines through. I have never experienced that with an American-made Fender. Lately, the Americans just seem like they arrive having had no Quality Control or inspections and often have blemishes that are unacceptable to the players so they have to send them back until they find one that meets their standards. This guitar exceeded my expectations in every regard. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about my first Mexican-made Fender and so far, it is heads and tails nicer than my American versions of this guitar. I think about it when I am not playing it. I wake up in the night and can't wait to play it. I love to just look at it when I am not playing it. I think I am in LOVE!!!!

Comments about Fender 60th Anniversary Classic Player '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

My wife bought this for me on my 60th birthday party I have a 50th anniversary too. This guitar is an absolute monster of course i broke a string as soon as i picked it up so i only played one song.I then replaced the string and that is the only bad thing about this guitar it took me 3 hrs to restring one string till i figured out that you have to unscrew the post from the tuning peg put the string in turn it the opposite direction and then tighten the string wierd I took it to my next gig and was amazed having 6 strats this one has the sound feel and vibe and tone of none of my others the neck is so comfortable it like caressing a woman,my bandmate couldn't believe the sounds i was getting out of it just from full on clank pristine highs the color is gourgous the neck tint is beautiful the gold sets it all off i would recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a mid priced strat brand new I love it and will keep it forever!

First saw the original as a kid. When this copy came out I had to have it no disappointments. Can't believe this is a MIM. It easily compares to my two USA strats. Custom shop quality. 50's tone is a joy to hear. Love V necks. Prettiest Strat I've seen. It would be a great value at twice the price. Haven't put it down.

Comments about Fender 60th Anniversary Classic Player '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I love this guitar, it looks great sounds wonderful. There was however 1 small problem, the pick guard down by the lower tone control peeled back. This is an anodized guard, I would of never thought this thing could/would warp but that is what happened it came right back the screw remained "seated" in place. I took the screw out and put it back in- the PG is resting against the body now. The neck tint in this guitar is nice, the soft v is very comfortable to play also. Giving this 4 stars due to PG issue, other than that this is a beautiful guitar. this is my 3rd MIM Fender, and the 1st w/quality issues.

Comments about Fender 60th Anniversary Classic Player '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I loved this guitar. My first buying experience in musicians friend, and I´ll tell you that this guitar is awesome! The pictures don´t make justice to this guitar, it is very beautiful, shining, gorgeous! The tone is the classic Fender stratocaster one that you listen in several sucess, you can play sleepwalk like Jeff Beck, Another brick in the wall, Lights from Journey and you can listen that tone. I live in Brazil and I´ve paid 1900 U$ in this guitar, but I am pretty happy! I have other 1996 MIM stratocaster and I used to love the guitar, but I love the new one even more. I have friends that have american stratocasters and they love my MIM stratos, best feeling and sounding instruments. I recomend this guitar for newbies and experts, very good guitar!

Great guitar in every way, EXCEPT, broke two strings within a few minutes of play. Would not stay in tune. I expect 100-200 worth of set-up/adjustments/upgrades, will make this a great guitar.

Comments about Fender 60th Anniversary Classic Player '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

When I ordered this guitar, I worried that it might just be an overpriced MIM Strat. But this is not your usual MIM Strat. It is physically beautiful to behold, and comes in a very nice case. This is very much like the guitar I saw in a Pawn Shop in the late 60s, but didn't have the 75 shekels to buy it. After all those haunting years, now I own it!

But that's just the start. It played great out of the box. My guitar was set up impeccably. The V neck is wonderful. Very nice vintage Strat tones. I did break a string within minutes of playing, but Fender cannot be blamed for my vicious, violent playing style.

It appears this guitar is suited to all styles, except possibly, Metal.
              Thank you Fender.

Comments about Fender 60th Anniversary Classic Player '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

The guitar looks much nicer in person so if you think it looks good at all in the picture you should be quite pleased. The neck shape is the most comfortable I have ever played on a fender instrument. I like a gloss nitro finished neck but I realize that is just personal preference. The finish on mine is very, very good. Beautiful amber neck stain. The pickups are the vintage reissue ones and sound vintage (duh) which means if you want higher gain or more powerful dynamics from your strat you should probably look at other models. The fretwork on mine is immaculate, the nut is cut perfectly, the setup was dead bang on factory specs. The gold hardware is stunning. There is a nice anniversary neck plate engraving and also a small medallion imbedded into the back of the headstock.Plus you get what is usually a custom shop instrument case, tweed with a burgandy red interior and a very tasteful 60th anniversary logo embroidered into the lid. This is a seriously nice strat for the street price, a really good value and a beautiful axe. Well done Fender.

Comments about Fender 60th Anniversary Classic Player '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar:

I'm an experienced player and have owned many strats since I bought my first one back in 74'. (Wish I still had that one!). This one compares favorably with the best of them. It came setup nicely with the action obviously given proper attention...it plays very smoothly...zero fret buzz and has practically held its first tuning from out of the case!! I'm thoroughly impressed...this thing is freakin gorgeous and plays like butter.

Not trying to sound like a total fanboy...seriously. But this guitar sounds and plays better than more than a few custom shop guitars I've played. Played it with the band last nite and recorded a few tunes...I'm shocked at the quality, it's awesome! Fit and finish are flawless... You won't be disappointed. Hats off to Fender for getting this right for the 60th.
